Fabiola of the Hayward, California store greeted me right as I walked in. She solved my issue by supplying me with documentation I required. She also explained how AT&T pre-paid numbers are managed. Very helpful and knowledgeable, please give her a promotion.

The management team is terrible, I came to address an issue with our plan with my partner and we met 2 guys, them told us 2 different story and it end up that we payed double the price for a plan. That’s really not acceptable.
They are arrogant, they literally left the conversation to hand out in the back…
I’m putting 1 star really because I can’t put 0
But I really wish they are going to be reported.

I had a pleasant visit in San Leandro California early this morning. I went there because I went in Hayward A St yesterday for a new SIM, but the agent Giselle was not able to help, because she said they are not a corporate store.
I was helped by Robin in San Leandro, and it only took him less than 30 minutes to resolve my SIM card issue.
I just wish the store's music is not that loud, it seems it is too much when peole are all talking, and music was almost annoying.
Other than that, service was great!

Came in to upgrade both of my son's phones. Long story short, the manager talked me into getting the buy one get one samsung watches. He was not truthful at all. He lead me to believe that with auto pay and the promo the watches would basically be free and my bill would be around the same amount as I was paying, my bill went up and the billing department let me know I would be paying much more than I was. I would have never got the watches if I knew this. Even the lady at the billing department said he lied about the watches . I get they have to make sales, but they shouldn't have to lie or withhold information to get them. Everything was going great with the young lady helping us with the upgrades. But the watches were false advertised.

If I could give negative stars I would: sales team unprofessional (extremely rude, refusing to provide me with their name and the managers name, hanging up the phone on me and refusing to answer my call when I called back multiple times) saleswoman screwed up an in person order changing a phone number I wanted to keep — manager asks me to drive back to the store for assistance but goes home at 7:20pm when the store closes at 8:00pm. When I courteously call to get assistance over the phone because I, too, have returned to my evening job, thus cannot make a second trip back to the store, I experience additional disrespect, incompetence, and uncaring nincompoopery by a salesman who hangs up the phone on me, refusing to give his name and the managers name. None of the Thursday evening team on March 7th, 2024 gives two F’s about customer service and doing a job with pride.
I should have known when I walked into the store and there were four representatives: one in the back office and three on the floor and THE ONE and only available salesman on the floor ( back table ) stayed playing on his computer making no offer to assist me, but he assisted two men that came in after me.
I should have known when I heard head thrashing rock music piped into the store shouted expletives during a song. The song steady played with not one salesperson caring or thinking maybe our customers don’t want to hear head banging music with cursing.
I should have known when I called back to have their in store error corrected (my existing phone number being changed - not a new line added) and the team members were giggling and whispering in the background and the sales lady raised her voice to say “it’s an upgrade so your phone number has to change” even after I told her three times I wanted a new line and that I didn’t want the existing line to change that no appropriate recompense for their mistake would be made.
I totally understand now why people threaten ATandT RETAIL stores and threaten to do damage to the salespeople.
Well when I bring their phone back I expect my old phone number back and cancelling their changes and any associated fees. I also expect a written and verbal apology from the store clerk that rudely hung up on me. And me and this store are going to have a come to Jesus.
My advice; only deal with Corporate AT&T stores or switch to another provider. The RETAIL chain in Hayward is sadly at best incompetent.
