Workers here have terrible customer service, are incompetent and are unethical. They will tack on fees even when you've declined the new phone insurance and future early upgrade fees. I went in December to upgrade my iPhone 7. The sales associate and store manager said they couldn't help me because the name on my government Real ID did not match their records of my phone number. I'm under my partner's account. I brought my laptop just in case of a problem, so I logged in and showed them that my name was correct. They kept telling me my name didn't exactly match theirs because my Real ID was missing the Mrs... I almost lost my cool. I explained to them that Mrs. is a title used for the sake of formality. We went back and forth about this, and essentially, the store manager told me they could not help me if my name did not precisely match what was on their tablet because they'd get in trouble. At this moment, I should have just walked away... They told me they could help me if I gave them the PIN for the account, so that's what we did. I used my free upgrade on the iPhone 15, which I was eligible for. They tried to sell the insurance for my phone and future early upgrade fees. I declined them all, but they still tacked on the fees! I had to call AT&T to remove it, and the rep who helped me told me that the store had added them on without telling me. I told the rep I knew because I had my receipt to prove I did not consent to the additional fees. I regret giving this store my business.

Let me start off by saying I have been an A T &T customer since they were GTE. I wanted to upgrade my phones and take advantage of whatever offers I could. My initial contact was with Giselle, she very attentive and sincere in wanting to provide me with good service. Unfortunately for me, she had to defer me to one of the managers (didnt catch her name) who basically told me to "Go Phuck Myself", her exact words were "Here is the quote, its your choice, take it or leave it." Rude and just didnt care about trying to keep a long term customer. I, a more than 20+ year customer am now switching to Verizon and it is directly her (the mangers) fault! Way to lose!!!!

Worst service. Came in during a semi busy time. Was never acknowledged by any employee although they both looked up when I walked in. A few other costumers came in after me. They were acknowledged and helped as I sat and didn't receive any help. Both employee a man and women clearly saw me there but didn't bother to offer help. When I approached the guy all he said was "oh yeah she was here first". Please go to another store with better service! Trust me there is plenty of them!

My wife went to this Store Location in Hayward on A street, to get help with her IPhone 14 which we purchased from AT&T, she couldn't make or receive calls. This was her second attempt to get help from this location. A young man who called himself Mendez, which at the time was doing some some type of inventory on the store computer. He didn't made eye contact with her nor did he ask her to have a seat, just left her standing, and continued to keep working on the computer, told her you need to go to apple. Basically dismissed her, with no personal customer Service attendance, like she didn't matter being very rude. That is not customer service, so I'm her husband and I called the store location, asked to speak with the Manager, the person who answered the Phone said his name was Jose Rodriquez, and he was the Store Manager, and how could he help me. I explained to him what my wife had just experienced at his store, he said oh yeah they tried to help her, but she needs to go to apple. First thing he lied, my wife recognized the voice, said he was the same person that she spoke to in the store. When I confronted him on this, and asked him could I have the number of the District or Regional Manager's number, Mr. Rodriquez told me NO, and then proceeded to hang the Phone up in my face. You spend $1500 for a phone, and then can't get good quality customer service from someone who claims to be a representative of AT&T. I will take my Business to Apple where I will probably get professional quality help, but I will also be contacting Cooperate Headquarters for AT&T to report this Store and this person for their poor customer service, and lack of care, at the AT&T Store Located in Hayward CA on A Street, I am very disappointed and upset.

*** Update: It is inappropriate to request customers' private information to be sent to a nondescript email or an email at all. I've reported this to Google and AT&T corporate as potential phishing.We got Baited & Switched here! We went in to trade-in a phone and got some information from the shift manager. We were lead to believe the trade-in value would be a couple hundred dollars worth. After doing the transaction, we decided to stay to do the data swap and trade-in the phone while in store (even though they encouraged us to do it at home). As we were ready to complete the trade-in, we had found out our trade-in value was only $30 (later research proved that no trade-in value was at the value he lead us to think). When my husband got upset about this, the manager called out from across the room further escalating the situation and said that he never promised the amount he talked about, but they also made no effort to verify the amount the phone was before we bought it; therefore, letting us believe the amount was what he baited us for.This is our second run in with this location. A year ago, we went in and made some adjustments to our account. We verified with the sales rep what our bill amount was multiple times. When we got our next bill, we noticed it was substantially larger than what we were told. In speaking to AT&T, they said they didn't include the fees as being a part of that number.Also noticed a bunch of the 5 star reviews here are the same comment… suspicious don’t you think?

I switched from Verizon to At&T , only reason the great customer service from the one and the only person at A street, Hayward store.“Misael” is a great helper and has the great amount of knowledge how things work within the system of At&T. Either its porting or other things.I had trouble porting my number and have had N number of calls with Useless customer support. Have had no reception for 3 days, Till then i had made mind I wont switch to AT&T, due to useless efforts with customer service. Made final effort to goto hayward store andThe issue got fixed and addressed as a priority by Misael and he fixed it in less than 10 mins.Guy is a legend and Deserves a rise and good recognition. Thanks to his knowledge he should be on a higher position.Must deal with Misael , he wont disappointThanks legendTc
