I am the excuator and beneficiary of my friends estate. I brought the "Will," "Death Certificate," and a small affidavit that has been notarized. When I walked in, there was a lady sitting at a desk to my right. I explained who I was and the reason for my visit. She told me, "We need more proof to look up any personal information on this person. I said, "I have 3 legal documents that's more than enough proof." "You can't just look him up under his social security number or his name." She said," Hold on a second. I make photo copies of these documents and talk to someone else over here. " She came back and said,"We will need his drivers license. " I said," "The man is dead. Why would I keep his drivers license when I have a death certificate?" "She said "Sorry but that's what we need to look up his account." So I left and called a different comerica bank. I explained who I am, and the reason for my call. I asked them what is the process of seeing if my friend has an an account with you. They told me to bring in legal documents, including the death certificate. I asked if I needed my friend's driver's license. They said no, we don't need that. All we need is the death certificate it We can look him up under his Social security number name date of birth.

The bank charged me for overdrawing AFTER I contacted them to stop processing payments from Venmo. A bunch of transactions continuously kept hitting my Comerica instead of my WF. It was Venmo's problem, after I continued to contact Comerica they told me to contact Venmo again because it was their doing, eventually we came down to blocking/freezing Venmo BUT WAIT don't forget it takes 3 days to clear. Instead of doing this the first time I contacted Comerica I had to take steps so let's talk about 3 more days meaning business days, to continue to allow transactions to "post" then reject them and charge u the fees COMERICA SUCKS!$27 for first over draft Upto $38 a transaction after THEN$6 a day for 7 days so ANOTHER $30-$36 You guys are scammers and the employees know this is fraud. I see a lot of elders in this bank I know wonder if it's to scam the elders.

They are a RIP OFF!!!!!! I have been banking with them for about 8 years. I recently had a charge to my account that i did not authorize. I got a hold of the party that took the money. So within 24 hours my money was back in my account. To my surprise there was a 100 dollars missing. So i called my branch and they said that is a fee they charge to put the money back in. That is ridicules. I have never dealt with any back that would rip there own customers off. I understand a overdraft fee. But a fee for doing nothing wrong. I will be banking with someone else in the future.

I opened my 1st account in April. I explained that I needed to work on my credit. Freddy helped me open my checking, and made suggestions on how to build up my credit. 2 weeks later, i opened a savings and a credit card with them. My credit score is up over 120 points! Its only been a 3.5 months! Now granted it was me who paid off one old bill, and used my credit card the right way, but I've never had a bank take the time to help me like that before. Thank you Comerica! Now I'm not terrified to apply for apartments.

This branch is literally the worst banking branch I have ever been to. I honestly try to avoid it but sometimes timing won't allow that. I have had one positive experience, when the Assistant Manager helped me because they had literally put my deposit into the wrong account! Other than that, the people I have interacted with have been rude, plain and simple. Tonight I tried to go in the bank at 4:30 and it was locked....the sign said open until 5.....as I stood there a man came to the door and said they were having problems and had to close early? Ok??? Glad I rushed to get there! I jumped in the car and ran to the San Leandro branch, arriving minutes before it closed....they were fast, and able to help me....lesson finally learned. I am done.
