Whenever I need repair work or buy a bike since 2001, Cyclepath is my go to place. This was my 3rd Specialized bike for me ( I ride alot) and one for my wife and 2 for my teen age grandkids. They have always been friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Pacheco, the bike Tech and Sebastian were very helpful and making sure the bike was right for me. I was told to come back after i put some miles on it for a free adjustment. Thanks to both of you, I love my new bike.

How does this place stay in business?... Same as everyone else's comments about the poor customer service. I've never been spoken to with so much confidence while not having the experience of knowing how to pull out a seat post. The head mechanic had to walk him through the process, as well as coach him though responding to a customer's question.

I was initially taken aback by the labor costs, but the pricing of the items was fair and reasonable. While I did encounter an employee who wasn't particularly courteous, Brian completely transformed my experience. He epitomized exceptional customer service, demonstrating both professionalism and a wealth of knowledge. His dedication to ensuring customer satisfaction was truly commendable. If you visit, I highly recommend seeking out Brian - he's a game-changer!

What a terrible place of business. Forget the fact that everything is insanely overpriced. The customer service here is terrible and the owner/manager is worse. I brought my bike in to have brakes installed since I just got it bike after being stolen and stripped of all its parts but the frame. I left it there overnight to have it evaluated for what it will need and they called and texted me a quote the next day for $350+ for the brakes and to install the front tire and tube. For reference the bike originally cost me ~$250. That’s more than the bike is worth but to make matters worse they attempted to convince me that I needed the new system of brakes and that they’d need to drill into my bike to do so. You’re telling me you can’t obtain the original type of brakes? Your a bike shop. A well established one at that. Ultimately I told them on the phone I didn’t want the brakes installed after all but would like them ti install the front tube and tire. I got there to pick it up and first they couldn’t find my bike then they brought it out with NO work having been done to it. I said “what’s this? Why is the front tire still hanging off? The “manager” comes over to me and says “we quoted you. You didn’t want anything done”. All I could say is “Wow, I’m so disappointed. I clearly told someone on the phone I just wanted the tire installed.” And he replied, “what do you want me to do, I said I’m sorry”. I walked out and vowed to share this with the world. Customers beware. Go to a bike shop that has shows their clientele professionalism instead.

I have to admit, the poor Yelp reviews initially had me worried about visiting this bike shop. Living in the Hayward area and usually pressed for time, however, I didn't want to travel further out to other bike shops in say, Castro Valley or something. I'm glad I chose to stay local and visit! We've purchased a total of 2 adult and 1 children's bike from Cyclepath. Ben, the owner has a good amount of experience and knowledge. When shopping around for my bike, I landed on a Specialized Crossroads 2.0 that fit my budget and style, and was between a M / L frame size. Although they only had an M in stock, I briefly spoke with Ben who suggested an L would be a much better fit for me. Taking a chance, I trusted his instincts and we ordered an L, and I've been quite happy with it ever since it arrived! For my 3 year old, we also discussed how the cheaper bike we purchased off Amazon with reverse braking wasn't working out for him. He recommended a Cleary Hedgehog, which we also purchased. My kid's been loving his bike and rides it almost daily! As for maintenance, they did a free "30 day" tune up on my Specialized bike after putting in some miles. I can't comment on their pricing versus other bike shops. I like their convenience and the staff seems generally competent and cool. As an aside, they were also super patient in trying to teach my spouse how to ride a bike, and let her ride around many times at the shop with their assistance! Thanks Cyclepath!

Owner or manager needs to teach these uncaring high school dropouts salesmanship. For example, they wanna sell you the most expensive something, not give a choice of high, med,or low quality whatever. No high quality used road bikes for sale here. Chinese guy will chase you down the street with his oversized kung fu weapon if he gets mad at you for hating his shitty services.

They are rude and only allow one person in for no reason and where being rude to my friend with a speech impediment making him count to 10 and mocking him everything overpriced they look at your bike and request to buy a new part if you just need a tune up!

Great service and very polite and helpful staff. I need a new rack installed on my daughters bike for school, and they got it down in a very short amount of time while I waited. The prices were very reasonable, and overall I was pleased with my experience. I will be going back, and I would highly recommend this business to anyone.

Sebastian greeted me at the store entrance, walked me through all the bike covers and options, removing from their packages so I could thoroughly review each to eliminate any guesswork, very helpful! I also needed to replace a flash-lite 'base mount' and while it was such a small purchase he spent allot of time going through all the various types for a correct match since I did not have flash-lite with me and of course he figured out the right one.The store is well organized, clean and loaded with product.I met Ben, the manager, friendly, shared allot of good information regards to electric bikes enjoyed the conversation.Given their excellent service I will be back.

This place is great -- I went there last week with an issue with my bike and they took the time to help my try and figure out how to fix it. Their repair department is pretty busy, so plan ahead if you need something. With Eden Bikes turned into a Trek store, they're now the only Specialized dealer around (well, with normal hours anyway). I'll be going back someday to get myself a new bike.

Tried to charge me $50 to change a tire. Extremely rude and disrespectful. I hope the business owner reads this and does something about it.
