Waiting more than 10 minutes for someone to get a tool for me that I used to be able to just grab myself, I decided to take this wasted time waiting to leave this review because this is just dumb. Wasting everyone’s time and my company’s money.

I shop at this store once or twice a week if not more. For the first time in my life I experienced what it is like to be treated like a minority.I was racially discriminated against because of my skin color.I was waiting in the self service line and was the next customer. A Spanish speaking lady came over and called the next customer to checkstand number 6.That was me or so I thought.Some Spanish speaking guy had shuffled his way in and were having a conversation as fast as it took me to walk from the front of the self serve line to her checkstand 6.She looks at me and told me I can't cut in front of other people. I told her I was next and that they cut the line.She is now pointing at a line of Spanish speaking people that had started a line on the opposite side of where I was standing along with a sign that says the line starts here.Now the Spanish speaking security guy comes over after watching this and tells me I couldn't cut the line as did his co-worker.Before I left without buying the things I came for I took a good look around and noticed I was the only White person around.It hit me like a ton of bricks when I got to my car.I was just racially discriminated against because of the color of my skin.I will never shop there again.My wife made a good point and said I should have complained and made them look at the video.I know I was right and do I want to waste my time proving that Home Depot practices racism.This happened at the Hayward store on Hesperian blvd. On Tuesday 4-2-24 at about 2:55 pm.I will now do my business with Lowes.

The assistant manager, Lalo, provided us with excellent customer service early this morning at 7 AM. We needed a plastic window insert cut and he cut it for us. He took his time and cut it to perfection! He did not charge us a fee. It is a fact that if you find the right person at Home Depot you can even get the most difficult job done! Thank you Lalo! We will definitely return to your store location in Hayward on Hesperian Blvd.

Unfortunately, I did not want to make this review. But, I did not have the best experience at this location. As someone who works retail, anytime I go into a fellow retail space I always assume I’m going to be given the same customer service that I try to give guests at my store, if not a similar experience. However, this Home Depot has failed me on numerous occasions and today was my last straw. I understand people work in different departments but upon me, my mother, and my sister asking multiple employees (upwards to 5) that were standing talking in a group to assist in find one part of a shower head, none of them seemed aware of themselves, where they were, or what their job is. Very unfortunate to see this location hiring just to hire without proper training or management. Don’t expect to be helped when you go to this location, the employees seem to know nothing.

Went in for a water heater and was help by Bryan who was of great help. First time I havent struggle to get help. Thanks Bryan hope everyone at homedepot was as helpfull.
