My favorite store was Lucky’s at Santa Clara St, Hayward. But not any more because of the checkout difficulties. I went after a busy day at work and picked up 18 items. The associate at the self checkout knows me very well as I am a regular customer (I have been shopping at this location for over ten years). However, last time she was rude to me when I went to the self checkout. She said that I should go to the cashier at the register. I wanted to go, but I noticed only one register was open and had a long line. I said I only have 18 items and she did not believe me; she rudely said that I had “way more than 18”. I went to the self checkout and scanned my items as two transactions due to the new self checkout policy. I will not be returning here to shop, and I suggest other people take their patronage to a different store where customer service is more of a priority.

Terrible service, 2 check out lines open when busy. Self service is 10 people deep and when assistance is needed there is no employee there to help.

Tried to get a quick sandwich from the deli counter. No such luck. The person behind the counter kept telling us to choose from the already made ones She was having a really difficult time with basic knowledge of what goes in the sandwiches. She seemed not to understand English. Both my partner finally gave up and left. Not making that mistake again.

Today I left this supermarket smiling and in a better mood than when I came in all because of the associates that work here! Bishop in the bakery was so sweet and helpful and the cashier was funny and put a smile on my face. This is going to be my grocery store from now on!

Used to shop here because it was closest to me. Turned out, it was a decent store to shop at. The sidewalks around the shopping center are a bit rough, it is difficult for me to go over some of the bumps in a motorized wheelchair. Recently I found out that there no longer have baskets. I used to put a basket on my lap and do my shopping in my wheelchair. It was not the best, but it worked for me. Well I found out that the baskets are now gone, reason? They were stolen. So when the shopping carts are stolen, they get replaced, why not these baskets. Instead, they do not have them any longer. So when i asked for a bag, they send an employee to push a cart around and follow me. Um I am independent, all I need is a basket of even a bag! Do you know how it feels to a man that has worked to independent after a major surgery just to be treated like a cripple? Why can't you just get new baskets? I was willing to buy a bag, but instead I was embarrassed. Will not shop here any longer. I will go the extra blocks to Safeway. I am sure they have baskets or will let me buy a bag to use for shopping. This was not the first time at this store I felt disrespected.

I recommend this Lucky's to anybody. That was my first time going there. The association work there was very helpful in the things that I needed to find. I definitely would be back to shop there

This lucky's is right by my work. It's a smaller luckys and not super busy, which I appreciate all of the employees. Pretty much know me by sight again because of the small customer base, but if you don't want to be bothered much by other customers, this is a great place to go.

I love shopping here but definitely won't be shopping for their cold foods/salads anymore. We went around 9 in the morning thinking they would have everything freshly made. We got the picnic macaroni salad, went home, and it was sour! Spoiled!! ? This wasn't the first time either. Never again!

I have been buying liquor at Lucky because they offer 10% discount if a person buy 6 bottles; however, on the shelf they frequently only have 5 bottles of the kind that I want. A number of times I stopped by, the manager is at lunch and no one is able to go in the storage room to get a case or the 6th bottle for me. I recommending management to have at least 10 bottles, particularly Kessler, on the shelf so that customer like myself can just shop whenever the store is opened instead of shop whenever the manager is available.
