UNETHICAL business lecturer Aquilina. He kept telling me when I asked him questions about the exams that his side hustle was making his exams more difficult to get side cash from students that paid him to get the "practice questions," which were actual questions ahead of time. I refused to give him any money or engage in his ways. Be aware!

I attended several campus events and was drugged by drinking water at those events. When I was in the low awareness, these Pro. slapped hard at my head multiples time, verbal insulted and sexual assaulted me. It also happened at different classes during the 4 years college 2017-2020. Principles, Dean at the business and athlete department ignored my assaulted reports. I asked the staffs and polices to submit my report, they pretended to accept, but they never filed. I tried to reach out the campus police, but they invited me in and slapped my head with their strength multiple time in the office. I was a petite woman, therefore,I fainted. I could not remember anything at that time. I guess that they injected drug in me or gave me a drink with mixing drugs. I tried to revisit the police office at the different time with hoping to find the good one to file the report, but they threatened me in a super rude manner as if they deal with a criminal. I don't know these Pro. or polices. or have any conflicts with them. I was new student and busy with my classes back then. I attempted to suicide many times when I remembered what happened to me. Please do not trust any Professor in the school, even though they are women. They promised to file the IX title for me when witnessing me to be beaten up and assaulted. They never did. They didn't even intervene in those evil and wrongdoings acts. They stood there and watched me suffering while my head was blurred and my body wanted to faint. Please, don't turn a blind eye to the horrors that unfolded within this school. Help me fight for the safety we all deserve. If you witnessed or heard about these assaults during that time, please help me to report to law enforcement and FBI. I seek not just solace, but justice. I plead for your help who aided and abetted these heinous acts. Silence in the face of wrongdoing allows it to fester and spread. Your action, your reports, your support, can turn the tide. More importantly, ensure no one else walks into this school carrying the burden of unseen predators as I and other students did.

It is move-in day today (first-time) at the apartment at Cal State University East Bay Sonora Apartment. I brought the whole family to tour/check the place for we were excited and was looking forward to it. To our surprise, this is what we saw. Check out the pictures I posted. More than three overflowing trash cans, dirty and messy kitchen, dirty living room, dirty and messy bathroom countertop - dirty clothes left on top of the countertop. These places were shared and common areas! This was reported to the Resident Assistant (RA) at that time but was told to contact the housing office this week. The RA even told me that the place should have been inspected and clean prior to a student's move-in date. Well, it seems like no inspections ever occurred before or after the holidays! Upon reading the school's apartment inspection policy, it is the RA who was responsible to conduct the inspections. It is very concerning - for this is a health and safety issue! First impression of their campus apartments and very embarrassing! This clearly requires the attention of the City of Hayward Environment and Safety Department. For it is against their current program about protecting the community and going green on hayward housing!

The financial aid department is an absolute joke!! They asked for my 2021 financial information (standard procedure I know) but this is vastly different than my current (2024) standing so they told me I could file an appeal. I filed this over 6 months ago and it sits there unopened until I call and ask then they suddenly "just found time to view it." But it's constantly denied. They tell me they need more information and it's always "oh we just need this one document then we'll be done." And then it's something else and I have to call everyday or they don't even look at what I've submitted. When I call I am always on hold for at least an hour and the people are rude. Unless you can pay your tuition in full without any aid do not attend this school!

The financial aid office at the school is awful. It's not even the fact they're incredibly difficult to get ahold of. Ftr, I understand being short staffed, but our time is valuable as well, and we shouldn't be expected to wait on the phone for an hour or more before getting a human being. They want everyone to email them, but if they reply, which is rarely quick and always anonymous which prevents accountability on their end, many replies consist of brief responses with insufficient information that don't give you enough information to deduce what's going on, and see you needing to call anyway. There were many times I'd get a nameless response from someone, reply, and then I'd never hear back from them, which would lead me back to square one. They are also woefully inadequate about properly educating students on what they're eligible for, especially beyond undergraduate studies. This department and their lack of proper information dissemination has left me in a really bad spot this school year, to a degree that will have long repercussions for me financially. I wish I had a different school for an option because I wouldn't have chosen this school based on bad experiences with them several years ago.

I go to school here so I m a fan, however, it is very, very, very far away from civilization (BART/Bus/etc.) and it's up a huge hill. But that being said, I like all of the online stuff they have for students. I can say that as a graduate student, I liked the fact that I could borrow a computer, buy my books and other things from the bookstore, and have them sent to me. And I can do all of this online. My program is all online and uses CANVAS and it's great. I get an email account as well. The only issue is my student ID which I need to get in person - argh!!! I want the discounts so I have to inconvenience myself to get it. But that's a rich, fancy person's problem. My fave is that when I graduate, we will have a double CSU East Bay (Hayward State for the hubs) household. But all in all, I have liked my experience here and would advise anyone else to go.

Pleasant setting for a soccer game. Free parking. Seven food trucks were brought in for food. Bring a hat with a brim since the seats face the setting sun.

If youre an international student , I would advise to choose another university . I did not like the program , some subjects weren't related to my field of study , but mandatory to take . No support during Covid shelter in place period , like flexible payment. I wasted my money and gained nothing , well another lesson to learn I guess

I wish I never transferred to this college. I signed up for spring classes and registered for 16 units -- low and behold the first day of the semester began on 1-17-23 and half on my professors are MIA or do not have the classes set up. The do not have an established platform and I'm switching between Canvas, Blackboard and Gmail to get my syllabus and textbook information. In addition, the university requires two factor authentication every single time I log in. This is mighty annoying to do several times a day. On top of that, two of the 4 classes disappeared and have absolutely no content besides a course number. All that's listed is "to be announced." I'm not a able to drop these classes without admin approval and I've already been charged around 4K for these courses. I'm beyond livid over the price I am paying for a garbage educational setup that is not doing its job. I cannot remove these two classes from my registry and there is no valid class!! What a disappointment.

Classes are okay, but the social life is the worst. Idk if it's because it's a commuter school, but throughout my 6 years of being here, I've joined countless clubs and events and made ZERO friends. Yes, ZERO. It's so hard for some reason, I don't know what it is. On top of that, panda express is literally the only thing on campus to eat. It gets sickening having to smell the same smell everyday for years.

Review for computer science undergraduate program. Pros: Cheapest you will get at the state level in California. 30-35 max classroom settings. Cons: Outdated material from textbooks that bear no leverage to getting an internship or a job. Core required classes like (CIS401, PHYS 135, STAT316, etc ) for example will not help you land an internship or a job. GE lower and upper classes that are mandatory are a massive waste of time and money. For example, POLSCI, HISTORY, etc have no advantage to a "computer science degree"). Professors can be a hit and miss. Some don't care about getting you set up with real world experience. Some don't even respond to emails and office hours can be a waste of time depending on the professor (Pick your professors wisly RMF saved me and ask classmates about past experience about the class. TRUST ME). Sadly, very few seem like they are passionate about your career goals. Financial aid department gets extremely packed. 200+ calls which you have to wait in line for 3+ hours to talk to somebody (By the time their office had opened there were already 40+ people on hold. If you feel like just another dollar sign to a business that uses the guise of education to enrichen your life. You are one out of many more to come). Office hours can be scheduled for one on ones at the cost of waiting up between 1-2 weeks. On midterms and finals schedule in ADVANCE. If you don't plan ahead, then you will not reserve a slot. Professors have minimal connections outside to real world industry and internships. (There is no guarantee you will get an internship or a job role just because you are enrolled in the school :/). Even with its proximity to Silicon Valley and San Francisco, they lack connection to tech startups, FANNG, etc (The campus has 0.1% connections to companies ranging from startups, FANNG/MENNG, etc. Opportunity wise are close to non-existent.). Internships and jobs through the school that appear like water out of an Arabian Desert have students fighting for roles (Imagine through the csu email you and 500+ students fighting for a role of a SWE intern position with a cap of 30 max interns). So, be sure to apply yourself outside of class. The entire degree can literally be searching up course descriptions and researching about it. I spent more time self-teaching myself than learning from the professors (Concepts taught by a "professor" does not mean that he/she holds the magical formula to understanding the concepts. YouTube, Stack overflow, Geekforgeeks, medium, etc have taught me 90% of what a majority of these classes entails ). Prices as of this post are $18,000 upper division courses 52 units (45 units of computer science classes and 9 upper division General education classes, + $2000 from the Community College lower division coursework + general education requirements). It took me 4 years and 5 months. Reflecting back, this was a waste of time, effort and money. Even though it's the cheapest you will get in the bay area, you will still need to grind Leet code, build your portfolio and spend countless hours signing up and preparing for jobs and internships. You will face job rejection or get ghosted even though you have a Computer Science degree. It's what you pay for. You pay cheap, you get cheap quality. An honest review and hopefully you have a sense if you are considering transferring here or doing the total 4 years.

As I enter my closing semester I cannot understand, after all the money I've given this institution, how much is it to ask to have the air conditioning on? Endless classrooms in multiple buildings do not have AC during the hot months. You would think someone in charge would connect the dots. Students (and teachers for that matter) do not function at their best in these conditions. Aside from that issue, I've encountered Several instructors in the School of Business that were completely subpar. Further, their deans don't care or make changes. I would not recommend this university to a friend seeking a business degree.

Wanted to go to this school, but horrible financial aid!! Financial aid disbursements comes on August 17th and they want us to pay on August 9th? I was told by the staff That we had to pay out of pocket first or else they would drop our courses!! We cannot wait for financial aid!! No one in financial aid answers the phone and they take forever to answer their email! Financial aid gave me a huge headache that I will no longer be attending this school!!!
