The pharmacist here will NOT fulfill your prescription without you calling in. I submitted a refill on two separate occasions, and neither time was it fulfilled without me physically walking in. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU NEED YOUR MEDICATION ON TIME.

I didn't think anything could be WORSE than CVS and Walgreens pharmacy, I was wrong. They won't answer the phone AT ALL. I can't even find out if my new prescription was called in much less ready. The pharmacist is rude. I went in and I was ignored, after a couple of minutes she acknowledged me said I'll be right with you. Then she proceeded to take 2 phone calls and help those people who called in, while I was standing there staring at her. When she helped me it was only to tell me my prescription that was called in hours earlier was not ready. I';; be changing AGAIN!!

Several medications out of stock. Waited 6 days for an urgent prescription, even though the doctor sent them the RX. Understaffed, had to wait 15 minutes for the pharmacist to come out of the vaccination room.

Horrible, Unorganized, can not manage the customers. The drugs are not ready as they say. I called a little before noon to make an appointment for vaccination they said just walk in, but when I got there in the afternoon, they said we vaccinate first the people who had an appointment. Horrible

The cashier Maria was extremely rude and unprofessional she was at register 9 when the store was closing. So she was wearing gloves and they where so dirty and black and she hella touched the top of my drink where I put my mouth on so I got a new one . And was like are you going to pay for that I said ima get this one because you where touching all on top of it. She then said excuse me with so much attitude then said just clean it up and rolled her eyes is was the tone and demeanor for me

I had an experience with this pharmacy for Covid shots and it was a very positive one. I brought my mom and dad to a Covid shot appointment. I arrived a bit early and the staffer, an elder lady, let me check in early. She was very friendly, helpful and attentive. She welcomed my mom and dad, assisted them in getting shots in a very careful and professional way. My mom and dad are very grateful for receiving quick and top-of-the-notch service from this Safeway pharmacy in general and the staffer in particular.

Outstanding service I have never waited more than three minutes to drop off or pick up my medicine the staff are very professional very courteous and sensitive to your needs all the stuff that I have dealt with at the pharmacy I really nice friendly smiling and very knowledgeable always help me to get my refills they always call me and leave me text messages to help me get my meds on time thank you. I am 60 years old I have been with Walgreen, CVS and other pharmacies I was always unhappy and unsatisfied until I found this Safeway pharmacy Number one in my list, the best of all pharmacies I have ever experienced in California in fact I enjoy visiting Safeway pharmacy on Foothill Boulevard because the staff are so welcoming always smiling and very professional and very polite especially Michelle thank you For being the best thank you

This is the third time I've come to this Safeway and I have to shop around for a shopping cart before I can go inside the store there's absolutely not one shopping cart It's so inconvenient I had to leave and go to another store because there's no cart I mean come on Safeway invest in some shopping carts like you can't afford it or what this is ridiculous

horrible customer service. employees are rude , unprofessional. not knowledgeable. I was told , by an employee that "she didn't have time to answer my question" . this is absolutely not the way to interact with customers on the retail level. it's shocking, because Safeways top priority use to be customer service, Safeway has lost focus on customer service & its reputation is in rapid decline. I've been a loyal Safeway shopper for many years. I'm literally amazed by how the shopping experience has evolved into negative territory, the primary reason being poor customer Service . the purpose of the business is the customer. store employees are there to assist customers , the reason for the business. everyone is beginning to realize that Safeway no longer trains it employees, because of our experience with untrained amateurs at the store level. poor customer service creates anxiety in customers & inhibits growth of the business while encouraging loyal shoppers to shop elsewhere.

WTH, Charged my bank account for food I never got. Food order to be picked up by noon, after waiting 45 minutes Beca said "There are 4 people ahead of you." So we agreed she would cancel the order, then at 4:47 my bank account was charged $142. Said could not reverse it. Just gave me numbers to call but no names.

The location is great, very convenient near the freeway, and the produce here is fresh. The pharmacy staff are friendly, which is one of the only reasons I still go here. The Safeway on Jackson and the Lucky's on mission don't feel clean, and the Safeway in Castro Valley that I prefer most days (they stock the protein powder I put in my coffee) is a bit too far away if I just need to stop in and get milk and a few things for dinner. This used to be my primary grocery store, but.... Ever since Covid, they walled off the central section with the wine and medicines and personal care, forcing you to go through a separate checkout to buy anything there and has the whole area covered by security cameras. I've got social anxiety and I also hate any store that assumes up front that I'm a thief. If I need to buy shampoo or toothpaste (maybe they're hiding the protein powder in there too), I will drive out of my way to shop somewhere else rather than deal with that. None of the other stores do this. Did this place have that much of a problem with thieves that forced them to make it this much harder for normal customers to buy things? I keep expecting they'll change it back now that the pandemic has calmed down, but it's been years.

I came in to get some of the delicious fried chicken, but the mango habanero chicken caught my eye. I decided to purchase and when I took my first bite, I felt like me buying this chicken was the best decision I made all day! In excitement I called my godmother and asked her if she tried Safeway's NEW Mango habanero chicken and she said, "Girl, we've been eating that chicken for six years! Where you been? It absolutely delicious! The sauce, my fav, was so flavorful and juicy, the meat practically fell off the bone! I'm in love! I'll be back! Safeway you've done it again! I want to thank great chefs!

This was the worst pharmacy experience I ever had. Was told that they were "very strict" and that they needed to see actual proof of my doctor visit since this was my first prescription. It was obviously valid but they told my doctor about a previous prescription which wasn't my normal dose which caused them to write the wrong amount. When I tried to discuss this they said, "You should be grateful I filled it anyways." Umm pretty sure that is your job. Tone was mean. Horrible

Been shopping at this Safeway for 50 years and I had such a terrible experience I don't ever want to go back. I wanted to get some lunch meat from the Deli so the was a long line. That was Ok when it was my turn the young lady went down where they keep the meat and I told her what I wanted and she smiled and said yes, I waited and then I pointed to the mortadella she smiled and said yes, got it so then I asked for salami she looked at me and said yes and she waited until I showed her what it was. Good I got that. Then I asked her for Liverwurst well I didn't see any out there and all she keep saying was yes when I asked if they had any, So I said you don't understand a word I say do you and she said Yes so, I asked her if she could please get someone to help and she stood there and keep saying yes. Well, I'm an 80-year-old diabetic and I'd been there for a good 25-30 minuets finally got someone to help me and they said they were out of it. So ok did my shopping got in line and just so happens the checkout gentleman was the manager. I told him what happened and said I understand everyone needs to work but they need to train them a little more because this young lady did not understand one word I said. No apology just said we will all talk about it tonight. and did I forget to put my number in so I put my number in and that was that. So, Trader Joe's here I come, they care there.
