It was my first visit to this location. It's a lot larger than the post office I usually use. It has a small-town, intimate ambiance, with the cherry wood framing and open, welcoming layout. I really liked the display of available stamps, so much so, I bought a few packs though I seldom mail envelopes. The clerk was very nice and helpful.

Super low efficiency during working hour! Have people wait in line for very long!

I'm not really sure how they can get a bad a review. It's a local post office. Limited hours, limited staff; still gets the job done!

I give this rating 5/5 for Shirley, the associate who assisted me. One star is knocked off due to the Postmaster. But that knocked off star does not reflect Shirley. Shirley is exceptional, kind, patient, and a true humanitarian. I was having issues with my money order and she worked with me time and time again until it was resolved. Unfortunately the postmaster was impatient and told me I had one chance left and if it didn’t work that I would need to leave. He stood and hovered over until he gave me his final threat as a warning. He was very cold and had not one moment of joy in his spirit. I hope he finds some. Shirley was the complete opposite. Overall I am satisfied. I understand the postmaster may have been doing his job, but you simply do not know people or what may be going on. If Shirley didn’t give me the chance and worked with me, I wouldn’t have made it. It was a glitch in the system and although it took some time, it was resolved. I am so grateful to Shirley. She, just like the postmaster, was only doing her job, but the difference is, as an individual doing their job, she also possesses qualities that go beyond simple labor. She truly wants to help in a way where there are solutions on all ends. Not just for her job. But for the customer as well. She is so needed in this world and this office is excellent I believe primarily because of her. She was helping so many others more than the other employee’s alone and she was so patient and kind to each and all. She also helped so many people that seemed to not know what to do, including myself. She also helped to entertain my 18 month old when she was fussing. She was efficient on top of that in all that she did. This woman is remarkable. I am beyond honored to have been helped by her. If it were the postmaster or another, it may have been no chance. Thank you Shirley for being you. Who you are is more of what the world needs. You as an individual doing all that you could to ensure that all parties feel valued is exactly the spirit of what would serve as a catalyst to end and prevent all major wars. Thank you so much dear one.

Located in the heart of Hayward, this historic building is full of charm and beauty from days past. The post ladies that work here are always busy. They work hard and I do appreciate their service. They are helpful and knowledgeable. Mail drop off parking spot is great, easy drop off when needed. For parking, usually it is hard to come by at lunch time. But you can find parking around the park or in the back.

This location was super easy to find. Easy parking and not allot of people. Everything was safe and very clean. The staff was very pleasant and polite. I would come again if I’m in the area. Also this post office has a small town feel. I was so surprised.

Cool old building next to the new library downtown. They are closed 1 to 2 pm everyday so beware!!!! Slow service but the cool old frescos on the wall of old Hayward life are worth the visit.

Really easy and quick to find, but with there only being two workers and no automatic machine so you can get your packages done by yourself. It is a very slow move if there is more than one person in line or someone that's more than one package. They do have a mailbox outside if you do miss their hours, but I would suggest going to another location if you have packages and you're in a rush and like the last 10 minutes.

It's right in downtown which is great. But customer service is terrible. I just went there 1pm ish because I checked in maps and marked as open. They were just leaving for lunch 1-2pm, ok I get it everyone needs lunch time. But I am asking them what time they come back and one of the ladies completely ignore me. The other one rudely says to come back at 2. It's not your fault ladies but it's not mine either. Treat others they way you want to be treated! FYI I just reported to maps so they can add the lunchtime schedule.

The staff is always very friendly, efficient, and helpful. Even in busy times, I hear them help and guide customers very politely. I have always been treated kindly and knowledgeably.

Van (one of the usps representatives) is super rude and disrespectful. I don’t know how usps hires people that don’t have any knowledge about customer service and poor skills.

I've been coming to this office on and off since 2017, and upon my visit today I can see that customer service is still just as bad. Workers are slow and have no sense of urgency, or respect for customer's time. And even with how lackadaisical they are, they still manage to express their impatience with the customer. Imagine you are taking your sweet time at your job, and also showing attitude toward the customer. Let me elaborate; I have context. I came in the office today and the current clerk was assisting customers slowly because she was old. This is understandable. But the second employee, lallygagging around, took like five minute to even acknowledge me. And when she did, she couldn't help me because the label has to be taped on. I asked for her to tape it on real quick. She refused, citing some asinine company policy, and I cut her off, telling her to just sell me the godforsaken tape. I struggle for minutes because the tape on the store shelf had been tampered with making it difficult to grip the strip of tape. Only after sitting and watching me did she go and get a fresh one. She tried to open it, and gave up and handed it to me. After many minutes of pointlessness, I got the damn label on the damn package. ONLY THEN did she feel the need to tell me that the return address was written on the wrong spot, and she could not mail my parcel. ABSOLUTELY INFURIATING. After all that, only then does she tell me this. As I said in the beginning, this post office has always given me experiences very similar to today's. And it isn't even the work of one employee. The one that I encountered today was a completely separate, useless employee to the one I used to see years ago. I don't know what it is about this specific location, but the people there apparently have never had a hard job before and get annoyed at performing basic customer service, courtesy, and general proactiveness in the workplace. I'd leave a zero star if I could. It was a mistake giving this location another chance, I hope they work you all to the bone.

I had a bunch of mail get lost because I used my middle name when signing up for a PO Box, since that's what I normally go by. Denise is a literal hero. She solved the mystery in minutes and found my lost mail. With small town feels and a friendly style, I can't recommend this post office any more.

Busy post office. Get here early and be prepared to wait a bit. Friendly staff. A super old post office that gives an old time feel.
