After speaking with Customer Care, I was contacted by the regional installation manager. We are working toward a resolution so at this time I am pleased. I learned that since people don't like how over the range microwaves stick out from the cabinetry, the one they installed was something they did at that time. Our microwaves vents to the outside so the charcoal filter is not required and the location does not have to be accessible. However; any other repair that requires access to the display panel or otherwise does require access to the two screws I cannot get to because the cabinet is too deep. I hope we can come to a fair agreement as this is in progress. That being said I wanted to share that they did respond and we are working toward a resolution. Final result was unsatisfactory to us. Their stance is that even though the cabinet exceeds the maximum depth requirement, we can remove it to repair (instead of removing two screws to access the control panel) and a new microwave can physically fit into the space even if the space does not meet a microwave manufacturer's installation requirements. Bottom line is they are not willing to take any responsibility and we are stuck with it. They offered that we can explore microwave options for the cabinet with their design team for a future purchase. That said, it is highly unlikely we will make any purchase through them and potentially hire a cabinet maker to modify our existing cabinet. Beware that any time you have work done on your home be sure to familiarize yourself with all appliance specifications and know exactly what the company is doing and why. Do not trust the "professionals" to do what is right for you.

Do not buy a small appliance protection plan from Home Depot because I did and even though I did an online chat session with them and after explaining the details of my claim I was told it was a valid claim under the terms of the agreement and I could bring it back to their store, I did with the receipt and photo copies of the chat session I was told by customer service that they needed to somebody to proceed. Once they connected I asked if I could talk to the person and I explained all over again. I was transferred three times and ultimately given another phone number to call when I got home. So I reloaded the dehumidifier back into my car and left. When I got home I called the number and was given a .com to submit a claim. I followed all the instructions and was sent an email asking for me to upload my receipt, which I did. Then they sent me back to the computer I followed their directions again and they said sorry the information doesn't match our records. Well I made several attempts to satisfy their mandates and each time they rejected me. I'm sure this must be a way to discourage customers so they will give up. We have been customers for many years but at this point we are done dealing with them. My dehumidifier with a purchased two year protection plan cost over three hundred dollars. They have have finally given us the message that they cannot be trusted to follow through with their policies. Burned out!

Everything is locked up. I would essentially need a personal shopper that works there to follow me around and unlock the items I need. I will be shopping anywhere but here as much as possible from now on. There is no way Home Depot saves as much from this in theft as they are losing on customers like me. Target and Walmart, I'm looking at you too. Why shop somewhere when you can't actually shop? Smh

They hire folks from Richmond and Oakland and they don't fit in the culture here in Pinole area. I came to buy 1 item and the associate suspected that I'm hiding something. I felt like "We're not in Richmond honey ". I miss California before it became TOO liberal.

I had a terrible experience at the Home Depot in Hercules. I went there to buy blinds and needed assistance with cutting them. Despite asking multiple staff members for help and waiting for an hour, no one came to assist. Frustrated, we left and went to the Home Depot in El Cerrito, where despite being busier, the staff was helpful. The service at the Hercules store was the worst.

You know what this place just sucks. I live three minutes from here and have been going here constantly to buy products for my home. The real issue is trying to find someone to actually help you when you have a question. I was there last night and wanted some laundry detergent (which is locked up). Asked two different people three times to get someone to unlock the cage. Nobody showed up so we gave up and left.ETA.. pro tip if you want something small, order it online for pickup at customer service.

It's less hectic than some busier store most times. Well stocked. Most employees very helpful. great parking. Has a number of electic carts for disabled folks that can't walk so well. Bathrooms reasonably clean. All the reason I rated a 4 star.

This store is poorly managed. On Tuesday morning 9/19/23 I visited the store to buy some stuff. I decided to avoid the self checkout because I had a bunch of loose hardware. I got in line at the only checkout that was manned. There were five people ahead of me, but it took me more than an hour checkout!!! The management of this store put an untrained checkout person in the only line that was open, and he had no idea what he was supposed to be doing -- I really feel sorry for the guy; and I feel sorry for all of the employees at this Hercules branch store. I will be switching to Ace Hardware for the foreseeable future; and if I need something from Home Depot, then I will go to the Martinez store.

We visited on 7/10/23, looking for a specific length of flexible spa tubing to complete a backyard project. The store only had a full roll; some Home Depots would just say "your problem, you have to buy the whole thing," but Sylvia helped us out, and flagged down Jose to cut the length we needed. It took a little while, but it was excellent customer service.

Don't come to this store if your an electrical contractor needing a broad material list of everyday Home Depot items. Constantly lacking items I need all of the time and no electrical associates ever around after 5:00 to unlock anything. I always have to go to another store to get what I need I don't know why I bother with this one

NEVER buy plants or fertilizer at home Depot. The plants are tiny and unhealthy, never watered while priced at insanely high prices! Options are Trader Joe's for nice large plants at amazing prices; also try a local nursery. Any place but Home Depot.

A few employees still remember what is the customer service is. One of them Loren matured gray hair and grateful men, always run to help. What is wrong with black guy from customer service. His evil death look and hated speaking make me to regret whole shopping in Homedepot.

I didn't have a pleasant experience at Hercules Home Depot earlier today. The measuring crew didn't their job right. Instead, they blemd the manufacturing company. They have a poor customer service when I asked my refund. It's a mess. If I have a choice, I would not back to that store again.

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to purchase any garden appliances here due to: 1) all the appliances are locked up and 2) only 1 staff member (if you can find them) covering the whole 10 aisles.Additionally, dirty aisles, trash strewed everywhere, zero customer service and everything besides gardening gloves is locked up behind steel doors:Next time I will go to any other Big Box store since Home Depot is now the new Sears.
