Went in to be lightened up a bit and Rodilyn did wonderfully as always! I came to her a year ago for my first ever time and got a balayage and fell in love. Almost a year ago to date I wanted a fresh lightening and texted her, she got me in at her next available opening and worked her magic again. Always a good time chatting with her! Rodilyn is the BEST. never have to tell her what I want because she always knows what’s best for my hair. Not many know how to care for curly, thick hair and believe me I’ve tried many but Rodilyn does. She also has assisted with growing out my gray hair beautifully and naturally with no added coloring., Jasmine her salon manager always treats me with kindness and ensures I m booked for my next before I end my appointment and reminds me about the great deals with the hair products. Thanks Rodlilyn.

Difficult to make an appointment. Stylist was not great...not the worst haircut I've ever had...but not a very good one either. Stylist was very slow and unfriendly....no energy. First and last time time as a client at this salon.

I was nervous when I first moved out here from the UK, as I'd had the same hairdresser for years, and I had only ever had bad experiences when I tried someone new. Thankfully Katie listened to exactly what I asked for and delivered it perfectly, and I've now been coming here for four years! Always does my highlights, taking special care to make them look natural and enhance the natural dimensions in my hair - and I love catching up with her whenever I come in. A+ There are those businesses that deserve an A and then there are those businesses that blow those businesses away (lol). Evolutions is one of them. 6 months after a terrible experience at a salon a block away, I was desperate for a cut. A big family event was coming, but I was scared to go anywhere after that last fiasco. I explained the story as I sat in Monica's chair & I suddenly though 'she doesn't know me. maybe she'll think I was the problem'. I am SO GLAD I shared my story, because she confirmed that I got a weird cut, adding that the person cut my hair like it was another texture altogether. Monica took her time fixing it, and making me feel comfortable. She is a very talented stylist w awesome customer service skills. As a bonus, my Mother (who is a stylist in NJ) came in for that big event. She commented on what a lovely cut I got. So thanks, Monica, for not only listening and making feel confident again, but also for the great service and cut.

I want to preface that this took me a while to finally write because I kept debating whether it was worth sharing my story. I decided I should to help others be informed. I am new to the area and was looking forward to finding a stylist that could do a cool dye job for me in LA and after research chose this salon. I had a pleasant experience booking my appointment and getting treated well while at the salon, however it turned out that the dye job I got was nothing like my reference picture. I absolutely understand that hair is a work of art, and asking someone to replicate someone else’s work of art is no small ask. The style I asked for was relatively simple, a blond balayage with face framing and color melt. I’ve had this done flawlessly by my favorite salon in Colorado so I didn’t think it was an unusual or particularly difficult style. I went home that day $350 lighter and crying. I tried to accept it and grow to like it but I couldn’t. The person in the mirror was not someone I recognized nor thought was pretty. After three days I decided to call the salon and ask if I could fix it. They made an appointment for me to come in and I instantly felt relieved, although it was short lived. I went in and instantly received some not great looks, and my stylist came out looking bothered that I was back. I explained to her how there were sharp lines in my hair from the dye among other inconsistencies that not only did not resemble the picture I showed, but also didn’t even look professional or presentable. When I asked if she could fix it she said it was what I had asked for and denied otherwise. She proceeded to say all she could do for me was tone it and that I would have to come in every month after and pay $90 to keep up the bandaid that toning would be. No refund was offered and I did not felt understood or heard. I was so upset I left and made an appointment with my Colorado hairstylist where she worked her magic and finally fixed my broken self image, exactly into what I had wanted to begin with. I’m disappointed because I felt very alone in this situation, and the job was not cheap. My hair stylist in Colorado felt so bad she didn’t even charge me full price to fix it. That’s the customer service I want from my salon. Once again, mistakes happen, but there should always be a willingness to fix them. And that is why I will not be coming to this salon or recommending it.

Herbie is a gift from heaven ! My hair has never looked better and in such great condition even with all the coloring and highlights. I’ve been a client of Katie’s for about 8 years now. I have curly mixed chick hair so I needed someone who 1. Knows how to work with textured hair and 2. someone who wouldn’t damage it. My actual hair color is very dark (the darkest brown/black you can imagine). Not only does she go above and beyond…because I can be very difficult at times…She is very professional & easy to chop it up with while my hair is processing…she never seem to amaze me!!! My color is always on point (NEVER BRASSY) and her blow out is well damn near perfect! I do and recommend her ALL THE TIME.Services: Curly hair

Horrible experience with Katie today. She failed to deliver what was requested. She promises results and in the end, she delivers exactly what you were trying to avoid. She'll then tell you that that's not what you asked for. Oh yeah, she'll also complain to her co-workers about you if you complain. Unprofessional. Stay away from her. You can find plenty other hairstylists who will actually deliver what you want.Service: Hair coloring

For several years my daughter has been trimming and coloring my hair for me. Unfortunately, the color we normally use became unavailable or discontinued so yesterday we had to try a different one. According to the results pictures on the box everything should have been fine. Well, that wasn't how it turned out. I ended up with dark carrot colored hair on the top of my head, while the ends were the reddish medium blonde we had expected. Any other time I would have laughed and kept washing it before trying another color the following week; but two days from then was my daughter's baby shower with numerous people from the in-laws coming. My daughter goes to Rodlyn at Evolution and called her to see if she could help. She was booked solid but said I could see Herbie today at 11:00. I showed up on time and Herbie met me as I walked in. He seated me and asked what color I would like my hair to turn out. Given the extreme hot "red" I came in with he couldn't promise me anything except to make it much better. He worked on my hair for almost 3 1/2 hours!!! He was right that he couldn't give me the color I really wanted BUT I came out of the salon looking fantastic !!! My daughter and husband love it and I would highly recommend Herbie and the salon! Thanks, Herbie!! I feel totally confident and beautiful!

I went in on Thursday to get my hair done! I usually get my haircuts here with Monica and decided to text jasmine to see her availability... unfortunately she wasn't available but was offered to get my hair done with MIlANA. I took the appointment in desperate to get my hair done. Mind you this is my first time ever getting my hair done. I sent them what I wanted. Milana also asked me to send it to her. She kept complimenting my hair. How healthy and easy it would be to work with my hair since it was my first time dying it ... WELL I didn't get what I asked for. My haircut was so uneven. My entire experience was horrible! I paid 350 for something I hated! I was offered to go get it fix? But, I'm sure I'll leave unhappy once again! They should be honest and say she f'up my hair and she won't be able to fix it... she had fresh hair and wasn't able to give me what I wanted. I literally went thinking I'd get what I want because of how healthy my hair was and ended up leaving with damage uneven tones ( just horrible job ) literally looks like something you'd find on YouTube with the title DONT DO THIS AT HOME! I don't want to go back and I don't recommend MILIANA!
