Their french bread that they sliced for me got mold all over it in less than 48 hours. This happened with the first loaf and I threw it away and went and bought a 2nd loaf thinking it was a fluke, but it was not. This is what happens to it. It does not last more than 24 hours. If I saved receipts I would have tried to get a refund, but I don't, because it's extremely inconvenient. They also wrecked my only real reason for shopping here, which was to have a fresh piece of Atlantic skin-on salmon cut. Now, they precut the salmon pieces and wrap them in plastic and set them out with prices on them. What they don't seem to realize is, it needs to breathe. When they wrap precut chunks of salmon in plastic, and you go home and open it, it smells horrendous. So, I won't be buying fish here anymore. It's yucky.

I see why this stater brothers market is rated at two. Just about every time we go in there we search and search for good apples only to have the bagger, drop them into the bag and hear them clump down as this will bruise them. And just about every time we get our green leaf lettuce, they put that at the bottom of the bag and put heavy objects on top such as pineapple or other heavy objects, just a crush the green leaf lettuce. It would be nice if management would train the baggers to treat the produce gently. We feel rude, telling the bagger to please place the green leaf lettuce on top only to get a weird look from them. This may seem trivial to some, but produce is not cheap anymore. Management. Please, please train your baggers correctly.

Regardless of what is on the home page, masks are not required and the employees I saw weren't wearing masks. It appears to be personal preference at this time, as it should be.I like the ready to eat prepackaged food items.I don't like the adult male loitering in the parking lot and around the front of the store, near the entry/exit door.He was carrying what looked like a window washing tool.Tonight at approximately 7:50 pm, he was walking around vehicles in the parking lot. He walked up to vehicles with people inside and appeared to be talking to them.He also hit up a guy walking through the lot and appeared to talk to him. The guy came out of the store later and handed him something. He also stood near my vehicle for several minutes staring at me. I think he was waiting for me to get out so he could talk to me.It sure looked like the guy was panhandling in the parking lot.Stater Bros should have uniformed security guards in the parking lot and inside the store. The are many loiterers and panhandlers in the area and have been for decades.Stater Bros should step up and make efforts to improve the safety and security of both customers and employees.

My aunt and I ordered a full sheet cake for my cousins 36th Birthday party. We picked a super cute design with polka dots. Well it turned out to be an embarrassing situation. We've NEVER had a cake this bad from this Stater Bros. The writing was horrible, the pipping could use some practice and the writing well... judge for yourself. All in all it's just embarrassing for our adult party.

I went to buy a cake and there were 5 girls in the back working and one facing me and I stood there for 15 minutes before one girl asked if she could help me. I asked if those were all the cakes they had because the case was empty it had like 3 cakes small round and 1 big one and a few Boston cream pies or something like that. I left and went to Vons . Not only is customer service lacking you have no product to sell.

Just stopped in this evening to purchase some cookies and as soon as I got home I opened the package to find they are all ruined. They are not edible. This is because of the way the cookies were stored, as they were all previously melted and stuck together in large clumps. The cookies can not be separated without breaking into crumbs all over. Waste of my time and money.

Wait a second. I was scrolling through the reviews on yelp for Stater Bros and this Stater Bros in particular and I was shocked at the low ratings and low stars. Stater Bros is my favorite go to grocery store in the HD. Look, I know I'm not going to save a lot of money at Stater Bros, unless I'm buying steak on sale, but I also know I'm not going to wait in a line that is a mile long because there is only 3 registers open. Nope, not at Stater Brothers. They'll keep opening registers until they are all open. Now, speaking of steak... Stater Bros wins. I have a family of 6 and we like to eat steak. Now, I'm not so full of myself that I have to eat Wagyu Beef or Prime Cuts, some choice Porterhouse on sale for $4.99 a lb will do us just fine and Stater always runs deals like this. I'm also Italian from back east and I like my Italian cold cuts like Capicola (Gabagool), Mortadella, and Salami. They always have it. I don't shop exclusively at Stater Bros because frankly there is many choices and if you shop you know that you'll find deals elsewhere and I look for deals. When I do shop at Stater Bros I am never disappointed.

Everytime I come to this store I leave frustrated. Weekly I buy groceries and occasionally alcohol. Well, the blonde lady cashier, who I always get, upon seeing the alcohol demanding the ID of who was buying it so my boyfriend handed her his ID. I went to grab my boyfriends debit that I had been holding snd she said because I was also "paying" (I wasn't) that I had to show her my ID too. I thought no problem (I'm 24 years old). She then proceeded to grill me and quiz me on my ID. She quizzed me on my birthday, age, and name on my ID. I am also a cashier, and i NEVER do this. All she is required to do is to check my ID. This felt extremely hostile to be quizzed on my ID and how she felt the need to demand my ID because she assumed my older boyfriend was buying alcohol for an underage girl. It was awkward and the people behind me were staring. You need to be friendly to customers instead of being accusatory and hostile. No where in training does it dictate a customer needs to be quizzed on their ID to buy alcohol. It's only the one blonde cashier who does this too. She is very rude. I literally have 0 problem showing my ID but her demanding it and quizzing me and being so accusatory like I really was trying to scam her out of cheap a** liqueur like come on now. Be better.

I ordered a box of chicken and it was the worst!!!! It tasted like old refried chicken!! I was so embarrassed that my family had to eat it!!! It was a waste of money!!! I will never order chicken from you again!!!!! The people working in the deli didn't even greet us!! The manager working the floor had to ask if we had been helped. Maybe they need to be taught about customer service and to make sure if there going to be talking crap to make sure the customers can't hear them!!!

The produce is often terrible, literally rotten, sometimes furry fruits and vegetables on the shelves. When they don't have rotten produce, the items only tend to last a few days before they do go rotten. Seems like they get old stock to sell from their suppliers. One very annoying scam is the bags. First they say they have to charge us for the thicker "reusable" bags to "protect the environment". Now they say we can't reuse them and need to pay for new ones, "due to COVID", which is a total crock. If you don't want to use the bag I paid for and want to reuse fine, but don't try to SELL me what I already have and paid for.

The store employees provide terrible customer service. The cashier who helped me, was rude not only to me but the customer in front of me. Giving him attitude when he need instructions on doing a partial gift card payment and even rolling her eyes. I was given such a hard time, and the manager was as equally rude as her making up false policies that made no sense and were quite contradicting. Bottom line is, if you can't provide excellent customer service DO NOT have a job as such. Employees like this give a bad reputation to the brand. Don't bother with this location!!

Today I went into this store and the courtesy clerk that was giving out carts was so polite and friendly. The clerk that checked me out was the nicest I've had check me out in. Thank you Stater Bros for always being so friendly and welcoming.
