GMC Sierra (2013) not moving. AAMCO Transmissions Huntington Beach provided a free diagnostic services and fair pricing as well as quick service for rebuilt transmissions. I trust AAMCO Transmissions for their integrity and customer service.

Staff was polite enough but I'm not sure these guys know what they're doing. When I dropped my truck off they attempted to give me a loaner, however it wouldn't start at first and then it was completely out of gas. I respectfully declined. A few days later they said my truck was ready but shortly after leaving the problem I brought it in for was still there (hard shifts/over speed, 2016 Silverado). After paying 6k and bringing my truck back once, it still has the same problem. I just don't have the time to keep going back and not having a vehicle. I don't recommend this place.

I visited AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care located at 7201 Garfield Ave, Huntington Beach, CA, for a complimentary inspection of my car and talked to Eric.I have a dash cam installed in my car and automatically sends videos to my email when the car is turned off. To my shock, I received a video showing an AAMCO employee using my car for personal and AAMCO business errands. He drove my car to a liquor store, then to his home, parking it in an alley. Afterward, he took my car on a lengthy drive through various cities picking up and dropping off car parts for AAMCO. The cities included Westminster, Fountain Valley, Costa Mesa, Irvine, Tustin, Anaheim, and Stanton. The video had timestamps and locations for each place visited, indicating that he covered a lot of miles and used a significant amount of gas during this unauthorized trip.Unfortunately, the employee's actions had negative consequences for my car. The bumper has road rash now and the alignment is off, so now my car pulls to the right. Obviously, he hit a curb or something hard. I now also have a slow leak in my back tire.Additionally, I discovered that the driver had smoked inside my car, which he denied despite having a pack of cigarettes in his hand during our conversation.After confronting the staff at AAMCO, I was informed that my transmission needed replacement which I already knew, but they couldn't work on my particular car model and declined to give me an estimate. Why did they waste my time and not tell me that upfront?Throughout the process, I encountered multiple lies and inconsistencies. They even parked my car and left it running for over 5 hours, which I could verify through my dash cam footage. When my car is turned off, the dashcam shuts down.I was informed that Vijay T. Deshmukh, was away for the next 2-3 weeks after I requested the owner, but I believe I saw him on the premises when I dropped off my car the day before.Given my experience, I strongly advise others to avoid this establishment. It seems they might misuse customers' vehicles without permission for personal and business tasks, and their overall business practices were deeply unsatisfactory.In addition to the numerous issues I encountered at AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care, it's essential to note that they never provided me with any paperwork to fill out when I dropped off my car on August 2, 2023, nor when I picked it up late in the afternoon on Thursday, August 3, 2023. The lack of documentation made it even more challenging to address the situation formally or keep track of the services they claimed to have provided.This further adds to my dissatisfaction with their professionalism and raises concerns about their transparency and accountability in handling customer interactions. Overall, it is clear that this AAMCO on Garfield in Huntington Beach failed to meet even the most basic standards of customer service and responsibility.If I could leave negative stars I would. I sent the owner an email with no response. If you leave your car here, it could be used without your authorization and used for employee personal use or as parts pick-up and delivery car. You have been warned.NOTE: It's interesting that you cannot respond to the owner's response to my post below. I had sent an email to the owner with my phone number, and I have not heard back. It's also interesting that he did not dispute anything I wrote. I have posted 3 videos on my Facebook page. One is the employee at the liquor store walking out with his purchase. Another one of employee driving to another parking lot to consume his purchase and a third video putting a Catalytic Converter in my car to be dropped off in Anaheim.

My 2017 Chevy Silverado was having issues with shifting, so I brought it into Aamco Huntington Beach. They diagnosed my car and did an adjustment at no cost, and now my car is running great! I am very happy with the service I received and highly recommend this location.

I have a 2017 Chevy Silverado. A few weeks ago it randomly stopped moving so I had to take the car in. They said I had to rebuild the transmission and were able to do it very quickly!Service: Transmission

DO NOT GO TO THIS AAMCO. They put a $5,400 rebuilt transmission in my truck When they told me my truck was ready I was excited to get my truck back. They told me I would have to drive it 300 miles for the transmission to adapt. BULLSHIT. The next day I had to take it back and on top of that they put not just one or two they put 5 dents in my door. as my truck is all black, I took pictures before I drop the truck off and showed them on my phone. Then they took ownership of it. They had my truck for over three weeks. They finally ready to be a car because I lost so much work then on the six time I had to take it back, that was enough. I had to take it to dilllio Chevrolet to have them assess the truck. The skid plate on the bottom of the truck was hanging they stripped the both of my Cadillac converter and broke a bolt in my head of my exhaust pipe told me it would cost me $6000 to repair I lost three jobs because of no transportation had multiple conversations with their employees who eventually wouldn't talk to me because they know they messed my truck up. I've been lied to and given them multiple chances to fix my truck I decided to file a claim against him my girlfriend went to serve him the court paperwork when she got there she asked the employee Richard is the owner here as my girlfriend was looking at him across the shop. Richard stated no he's not here. She stated that's him right there and he said nope, and the owner walk right up to her and she said, are you the owner he said yes, she says you have been served now that he's been served. He has tried to contact me to resolve the problem I would never let any employee from his shop work on my car not even my skateboard this place should be closed down, and that man should never own a business again in his life. I took it there because I grew up in this area and I believe that it was a good place to take it to. I was wrong. I should've read the reviews before I took the truck there All I want is my money back this is been a headache. I've lost multiple jobs from work and after reading all the reviews that this company has, I don't understand why this business is still open so whatever you do, don't take your car there will destroy your car lied to you and use your car on your lunch break I'm born and raised in Huntington Beach and can't believe a business like that is in my city. I don't want to give one star but in order to post I have to.

I had a transmission problem that was fixed at another shop (HB Transmissions) just two years ago, I noticed the same symptom so I returned to that shop and they wanted to charge me 180.00 for diagnostics, YIKES, to test their own work? Not happening. So I went to AAMCO, and they ran the same tests in just a few hours, nothing was found, and there was no charge. AAMCO was also polite and easy to understand. I will definitely return to this shop.

He was covered in grease all over his hands, arms and clothes and sat on my new leather seats and changing my radio station. He drove my car to a liquor store where I could see his reflection in a window, leaning on my car smoking a cigarette. Then he drove to his home, parking it in an alley. Afterward, he took my car on a lengthy drive through various cities picking up and dropping off car parts for AAMCO. The cities included Westminster, Fountain Valley, Costa Mesa, Irvine, Tustin, Anaheim, and Stanton.
