I completed the Medical Assistant program and disappointed. We have NO Clinical skills!! We needed more practice drawing blood, we were rushed. I wouldn't be upset, but when you see your teacher "Ms. Jerzak" on her phone playing games, texting, steps away from class way too much probably for personal, yes I'm upset. She kept announcing her birthday that class felt pressure to do something. Even more scary she had a former student return because she had no skills for her externship. Don't get me started on her teaching skills for electronic health records, she didn't teach well or communicate with us.

Mr. Joe at ESL level 5 class in Bolsa Campus is very knowledgeable and helpful. He educated students through many different ways such as understanding American history, reading the fictions, teaching soft skills for work, using Microsoft 365, teams and etc. The school also provides the free learning program licenses for accessing Quizlet, Commonlit, BurlingtonEnglish, Engen and Flip! The best part is you can join on-line or watch the video recordings if you cannot participate in the level 5 class. Teachers here are very friendly and trying their best to help immigrants to fit in the American culture as well. The ESL class is free and I definitely recommend the residents to join the classes that HBAS offers.

I have just finished the Medical Assisting program at Huntington Beach Adult School. What an excellent program this is. The staff and professors here are not only educators but have actually worked in the field. Professor Alan Bell taught me so much. From every body system to drawing blood Professor Bell was there, hands on. Not only a mentor but a professor who actually cared about the success of every one of his students. Tough and caring, experienced and hands on. This program does not get the accolades it deserves. I feel educated and well trained. Thank you to the entire staff who are 100% behind you every step of the way!And a special shout out to Arlene Flores, the Job Developer. This woman bends over backwards to assist you in finding a job that matches your strengths. Kind, helpful and knowledgeable she is right by your side. I know as she helped me find my job. I can't say enough wonderful things about the entire staff here at HBAS. Not only are they all excellent at what they do, they care about each and every one of their students. Thank you HBAS you've changed my life for the better!

My overall experience with HBAS has been amazing and rewarding. I just completed the MA program and saying it was one of the hardest things I've ever done is an understatement. I didn't know how much I was capable of doing until I undertook this class and program. Mr. Bell, the instructor for the class is hard, but means well and his overall humor helps bring ease into the class. If you give this program the time it deserves and work it you too will be amazed at what you are capable of doing. The MA class it self is very hands on. You will need stay on top of your work, reading and take plenty of notes and this class will no longer start to feel like work but second nature. Mr. Bell thank you for everything and my new found skills.

I was going to take only one accounting class. But I kept taking more and more classes because teachers here are not only professional but also very caring. Especially Ms. Foreman she is patient and pays attention each student and is encouraging. Honestly, I learned at this school a lot more than what I learned in college many years ago and the cost is much less. They do not judge you, young adults, older adults, seniors, whoever want to learn they welcome and again classes are really professional.

This school was amazing I was able to complete the medical billing program in just 7 months and the best part is that I was taught by people that are current medical billers and they gave us so much information into what the job is like. The staff was so helpful, they were literally with me the entire way helping me in any way they could. Now that I'm finished hopefully I can find and internship and soon enough a new job!

I recommend taking the Pharmacy Technician program at this school. It's very affordable and a quick program. There is definitely a lot of material to cover and recommend taking the medical terminology class before taking the program. The instructors are friendly and helpful. I also recommend taking the optional externship program for hands on experience. It also provides a resume booster and may also lead to a job offer!

Pharmacy Tech-Mrs. Canlas, Mrs Hammoud - English , Math and ESL, Mrs. Naogi, the medical Billing and coding professor are so excellent educated, professional and fair with thier student.Mr Bell is so unprofessional, has favoritism and solicit votes from his students to put nice things about him about him here. His not a good professor. His the worst professor I ever had. No wonder he spoon feed this student and accepts bribe . He does know how to teach he got sick and hold up the class . The space is not enough to what he did to me.. He heard me talking about grade your professor on line. In fact he maybe will not have a job soon. See it for yourself. Ciera and Ilana are people he turns them to be judgements and inconsiderate people. He crates a hostile enrollment. It's a adult school. This kids doesn't know what they are doing. I'm 53 years old. I already have a degree.

I've been going to school at the westminster mall adult school since January. I've already completed 3 of my 4 tests. I needed ALOT of help academically. I am so very grateful for the staff at the school. They believed in me when I thought that there was no hope for me. I must say, THANK YOU. You all are very helpful and tolerate ALOT. I love you for all you do for us students.
