I recently purchased a vehicle at HB Mazda and had an overall neutral experience. On one hand, I really enjoyed working with the sales representative, Tyson. I reached out online and he was very responsive and professional through the entire process. In general, it was nice to feel like I was speaking to a human, instead of receiving automated responses in the inquiry phase. Tyson was very reasonable and helpful throughout the entire process, and I would recommend him to anyone thinking about purchasing. The finance department, on the other hand, almost made me want to choose a different dealer. I worked with Carlos, and he was extremely rude and dismissive. He attempted to rush me through the purchasing process and essentially told me that his time was more valuable than mine (despite me about to make a $48k purchase). He gave me no time to review the documents, and any time I did, he essentially told me I was wasting his time. I was shocked by how unprofessional he was. He was constantly interrupting me, and being condescending and was rude to the point that my partner had walk out of the office because they were so uncomfortable.

Came here to pick up a car on Thursday at 7:30 PM their hours of operation clearly state Monday through Saturday 9 AM to 8 PM we came and there was nobody there the entire dealership was closed down and the car we were intending to pick up was sitting outside uncovered. This is unbelievable how do you close down 30 minutes before your listed hours of operations?

I just called I just try to ask for a new key fob and they made it extremely difficult; Everytime I go to this dealership there’s some diagnosis fee and something wrong and it’s been year after year with no rebate and high costs charges to get things either fixed or replaced. If you want to ask for a new key fob don’t I Ty’s a waste of time and they try to upsale you

I recently had to buy a car due to a unfortunate accident, I went to a few car lots of course. Ended up with the best service here at Mazda Huntington Beach, Eric Magana was the first person to greet us, and he didn't rush up on us we were able to get out the car and start to walk over to the cars. He listened to my wants and then showed us cars that were in my budget and had my wants. He was very sincere and honest with me and my brother. So I did go back to him to buy a car, he was true full during the whole process and stayed longer to make sure everything was good to go. Just really appreciated his work ethic and attitude during our adventure. Thank you

If you want a simple, straight up deal, go see Joe B. The whole team makes the process easy. What he quotes you online is what you see at the dealer. No hidden fees when you get to the dealership. They will not disappoint.

My son just bought a certified pre-owned Mazda MX5 Miata from Eric in the Sales Dept and everything went so smoothly. Eric was courteous and professional through the process and answered all the of my son's questions. The car was detailed and ready to go. Great experience and great service!

Service department is awful.I have a new CX-50 that I bought here, and started experiencing some issues at low speed. It's so frustrating that I often choose to drive my 15 year old beater car even if the brand new CX-50 is sitting unused in the garage. I've driven tons of different cars in my lifetime, and I have never had to make a warranty claim or complain about a single one. After some research, I discovered that hundreds of people online have had the exact same issues, and that it's so common that Mazda has TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) out on it. It's a super quick software fix and 95% of the people who do it don't have the issue anymore afterwards. Great! My wife goes to the dealership with the TSB and an invoice from someone else explaining the issue and how to fix it.They proceed to drive it for a few minutes, declare that they can't replicate the problem, and refuse to apply the update. Wouldn't it be best for my car to be up to date, whether I'm experiencing problems or not? It's a 5 minute fix with no risk.Mazda responded to me that due to "Lemon Laws" they can't "fix" a car without confirming the issue. I've talked to multiple Mazda employees on Reddit who all say that is just not true and that their dealership would happily update if a customer asked. My issue isn't even a repair! It's an update, that all new cx-50s sold already have. Every CX-50 should have this update installed.I'll be going to one of the many other Mazda dealerships that will take 10 minutes to update the TCM, and will be recommending that friends and family stay away from this dealership.

Service department is completely unreasonable.I have a new CX-50 that I bought here, and started experiencing some issues at low speed. They claimed it was due to the "Lemon Law" and that they will not fix it unless they can prove it. I'll be taking my car to another dealership that will do the update no questions asked (plenty of people online have said their dealer did this without a technician arbitrarily deciding they can feel it) and I will never purchase a car here or use the service department again.Edit to respond: I've talked to multiple Mazda employees on Reddit who all say that is just not true and that their dealership would happily update if a customer asked. The service department here is outstanding. When we first got our CX-5 at a different dealership, it had a minor brake issue that was under warranty. We brought it to HB Mazda and David in the service dept. was very helpful with getting it corrected quickly. When the touch screen started malfunctioning a couple years later, David was great with helping us use the extended warranty to get a new screen quickly, too. We really appreciated his help with both issues with the CX-5. I even had a minor sunroof seal come off and stopped in to ask about. David went and got a really nice mechanic to put it back in place on the stop. I've had many type of cars and had to work with other dealership's service departments, but by far was the best customer experience at HB Mazda. We really appreciate David and the great customer service at HB Mazda. 5 Stars.

Such a great experience! Joe Joe (Big Joe and Joe) we're so patient and fun to work with. I LOVE my CX5 Turbo. I went Mazda HB first and then to a zillion other dealers. After all the research, I came back for the CX5. I'm soooooooooo happy with it! Thanks Joe Joe!

SERVICE SHOP: Chris in the service shop was wonderful! My elderly parents got a new car here recently. They had so many questions and concerns (since cars have advanced so much since their previous 2004 vehicle). My parents insisted on taking their new car in after 2 weeks, thinking it had issues, trouble connecting their apple carplay, & other issues. Chris was extremely patient and helpful. Chris and his team member assured us everything was inspected and in perfect condition!! Thanks, Chris, for your exceptional service and patience.Mazda service center also texts a video /message of their inspection when service is completed. (I think the guy who inspected the car was Mario...?). Such an awesome feature! Thanks, team!SALES: Eric M was who sold my parents the car, he was polite and friendly...much thanks to him for staying past closing to finish the sale and process all the paperwork for my parents!!If you're looking for a Mazda, I would totally recommend HB Mazda!

Incredible experience at Huntington Beach Mazda! Eric Magana, was warm, personable and had the knowledge required to guide me in my purchase. This is the 4th mazda I purchaseat John Patterson's Mazda Dealership. Mazdas are incredibly reliable, require regular maintenance and not very costly. In 2 hours I found a gorgeous crimson red mazda ithat I drove away in! Terrific experience!! Highly recommend!

First time purchasing a car myself from a dealership and was very lucky to have had the experience at HB Mazda with Tyson. Tyson was very responsive from the start with my initial inquiry, answering all of my questions, and providing feedback. Not once did I feel pushed to purchase. My partner and I noted some missing service items for the CX-30 which Tyson was quick to address and correct. They were also very accommodating by taking measures that I can drive the car off the lot that day.Ozzy and Carlos were also very personable. There was some miscommunication about the purchase of a warranty (add'l $3K to off-lot price), but somewhat willing to overlook based off of customer experience.
