Living conditions are great I've been there since 2014. HOWEVER, over the last approximately 2 years the leasing company has allowed vehicles to be towed. We cannot have guests even when they stay for one evening. Just had my car towed and had 3 friends car towed. At the moment we don't have a parking issue. I'm guessing because several apts are vacant This is absolutely ridiculous

I'm posting this so others who may be considering moving in here can be aware of the leasing office and their way of treating tenants and following tenant's rights laws. Take what you will from it, I was not involved had nothing to do with the situation. Just me simply observing an interaction and the poor treatment of the tenant... with that being said on Sunday I was out and about doing my normal Sunday " to do's" which involve visiting my grandmother who is a tenant at Huntington Creeks Apartments. Guest have to park on the street as mentioned on several other reviews no guest parking inside. While walking to my grandmothers unit (unit F) I witnessed the leasing manager (Carla) who always seemed to be nice the two brief exchanges I've had with her. She was yelling at a tenant, demanding him to open his garage. Of course I stop and watch/listen because why not?! The tenant irritable but respectfully responds " why can't you be straight up with me? Be honest Carla what is it that you need to see in my garage? " it seemed to me that this whole incident was going on long before I walked up. After the tenant asking her several times to be honest and stop lying, she continues to yell at him to open the door. While I was standing there I also overheard her accusing him of ridiculous things like purposely lying about the garage code so she couldnt get in or telling him that he purposely broke a light outside the apartment. That to which he responded like in disbelief and just completely disgusted that a woman of her age and her title being a manager at the leasing office would stoop to such childish behavior and make accusations like that, simply from what I observed only to get a reaction from the young man. I do know that the leasing manager got what she was screaming and yelling at this tenant over. I didn't stay much longer to watch as I needed to get over to my grandmas apartment. But with that short story, my grandmother will not be signing another lease here. Once her current one is up I'll be looking to move her. Simply due to seeing the way the leasing manager treated this young man. Completely disrespectful, childish and rude. It amazes me that a woman that behaves like that is in a management position. She was acting like a rabid dog, so upset and pissy she wasn't getting what she wanted she was foaming at the mouth. I hope the property management company is aware of who they put in charge at this complex because I wouldn't be surprised if she were running people off with her aggressive just plain mean behavior. Oh and from what I heard during this is she was acting off of a complaint. So this grown woman was acting like this based off of " hear say". I felt so bad for this young man I wanted to reach out the property management company in charge but I have been unable to find the name. So I decided to leave a lengthy review. To me it doesn't matter what minor thing this tenant might have done or was accused of doing he didn't deserve to be treated like he was. The leasing manager Carla, her employment should 100% be reevaluated, she has no business what so ever being in charge of a community if that's the way she responds to hear say complaints. And to the young male tenant, you have rights!! No one, no one deserves to be treated the way that I seen Sunday.

Pool is always dirty and the hot tub has been broken for weeks. Trash is always overflowing.Haha. Nice response. You are terrible at cleaning a pool hundreds of people pay you to use. I know how the trash is picked up. You lack there to. Not enough trash cans. The pool is closed or broken again this week. Lol

Lived in this place a little over a year and was really happy here(2019-2020). The grounds are beautiful with mature landscaping. Neighbors are really nice and the office ladies are professional. The build quality is pretty good and I didn't really hear much from neighboring units all that often. The gym was decent and I had it to myself almost every time I used it. Austin, the maintenance guy, always took care of any problem right away.I'm not sure why everyone is complaining about the parking. You can see before you rent the apartment that this is a huge complex at the end of a very small street(with multiple other huge apartment complexes). Parking is always bad in densely populated areas and this is no different. A couple of times I had someone park behind my car and block me in but that's about it. Having lived in various complexes in HB for over 20 years I would say the parking sit here is on average or slightly better than most complexes in HB but if you have a lot of cars in your household this is not the place for you.A few cons:There seemed to be a lot of plumbing problems. I only had one small plumbing problem in my apartment but I know there were some serious leaks in other apartments. There were frequent shut offs to fix the problems. All of the upper units have carpet in them. Since this complex takes animals there may be some leftover problems. I had a flea problem when I moved in(I took care of it with some diatomaceous earth). The upper units have carpet because they said the vinyl plank is too noisy for the tenants below. Since my unit was above the garage this did not make sense especially since the new floors come with a layer of cork for sound dampening. I really would have preferred the plank at least in the entry way and under the bathroom vanity area to make cleaning easier(like the model I was shown). The noise from the 405 construction was annoying and I feel they probably should have at least replaced the sliding doors in the units next to the freeway with double pane doors to cut down on the noise before the construction started(I believe all of the walls are double walls and there didn't seem to be much sound coming through). The trees really dampen the sound and the units at the back didn't seem to get nearly as much construction noiseThe units over the garage get a lot of sun(which I loved) but can get very hot in the summer. My AC stopped working a few days before I moved out and Austin replaced it with a new one from the model the same day.The lower level units towards the back of the complex don't get a lot of sun because of all the trees. Also the lower level units are the ones that ended up getting flooded when the plumbing problems start. This was my last rental because I ended up buying a place. The ladies in the office were super nice and helpful with the move out(even let me extend my moveout date at the last minute because my new place wasn't ready due to Covid starting). The list of cons seem long but problems are minor in comparison to other apt buildings built in the 70s and 80s. I've lived in a lot of different complexes in HB over the years and this is one of the best. I have recommended this place to friends and wouldn't have a problem moving back.

2 months ago I had small bugs (roaches) coming up from my shower drain. I knew they were coming from the pipes of my downstairs neighbor. I told my managers that they needed to do an inspection on downstairs unit for infestation. It took Huntington Creek Apartments 5 1/2 weeks to arrange the inspection. I had asked 4x. Turns out the neighbor had a horrible infestation of cockroaches exactly as I had stated. By this time, the roaches were in my bed sheets, in my bathroom hanging clean towels, inside the vents inside my microwave, inside my oven, inside my refrigerator, crawling on all my dishes and silverware, on my brand new 2500 couch, in my clothes. EVERYWHERE. Western Exterminator broke my oven spraying. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO COOK FOOD IN OVER TWO MONTHS!!!! Would you cook your families dinner knowing your cooking the diseases that roaches carry into your meals?Professional lawyer has been appointed.

Its a nice quiet complex and most units have a single car garage that has a storage loft. The downside is that there is limited parking so cars are expected to be parked in the assigned garage or assigned parking space. There is not parking available for visitors
