“Me and my close friend Fagell from Hawaii were in the area for some consumables for our soirée this evening at a females residence. The wide selection of spirits was great for what we had planned. Definitely will be returning soon!”
“First time drop-in visit. Loved the varieties, and especially the South African offerings. Assisted by Greg, whose depth of knowledge and experiences were remarkable and very useful for us. Will be back for sure!”
“City Market Liquor in Huntington Beach is one of the most dependable spots in the area. The store is always clean, well-stocked, and organized, making it easy to find exactly what you need. Their drink selection is great—everything from everyday favorites to unique picks you don’t see everywhere.
The staff is consistently friendly and quick at checkout, which makes the whole experience smooth and hassle-free. Whether you’re making a quick stop or picking up something for an event, this place delivers every time.
Highly recommend this liquor store to anyone in Huntington Beach!”
“Town liquor is a fantastic family owned liquor store. Everyone who works here is super friendly. I live nearby & I've shopped here for over 15 years. All of the employees are a pleasure to talk to, especially Sam. He is very kind hearted & warm. I've never heard any of the employees be rude to any of the customers, even the inebriated ones. I know a lot of customers love the employees here because I often see them chatting & laughing. In the 15 years I've shopped here, never once have they tried to push products on me. They've never tried to make me buy a lottery ticket or alcohol. Town liquor offers a wide variety of products. On a few occasions over the years, they've ran out of a candy I love & I asked if they could order more for me to buy & they did, very quickly too. I always enjoy shopping here. I try to buy everything I can here because I know my money is truly supporting families & people, not corporations & their CEOs. As long as they're in business, I will always shop here.”
“I like this liquor store! They have many little odds and ends for you in case you forget them while you are visiting here. Any drink under the sun you can think of, snacks, treats, candy, even some medical gear and camping equipment if you need. Very friendly guys that run the store.”
“Every time I've been here the staff are very friendly. There are a couple things that they have not had in stock that I wish they did, one being Bookers Bourbon, the other being Pyramids Apricot Ale. But they are the only store I know to still have Agwa on the shelf. I won't say what it is. Just look at the picture. The only other place you can get this liquor is online. Lets just say the first shot makes your mouth a little numb. Enjoy!!!”
“This place is always clean and just a stones throw away from the dog beach. Always willing to offer my dog some water when we’re getting a sandwich from the deli. When I recently went, I bought a scratcher and paid for my sandwich with the money won from the scratcher. The cashier was really funny and made it the most memorable lotto scratcher win ever.”
“Stater Bros Market at Adams/Brookhurst provides excellent customer service, wonderful selection of groceries and prepared foods at competitive prices. Cashiers and others are very efficient, courteous, friendly, welcoming and helpful.”
“Great place to stop in for your craft beer or extensive wine selection. I enjoy the variety of single tall boys of seltzers and hard kombuchas. Sometimes I'm craving just 1 and it's nice to have that here. Bill is great and always helpful, asks about my day. Mario is phenomenal too and always in a good mood. This is a great place for snacks, ice cream, and even a slushie!!! Great stop just before the beach prices sky rocket!”
“Stopped by to use the bathroom at Starbucks and went in they have a good selection and xant beat the prices and very friendly found a bottle I did not have and not marked up at all so cool place”
“This would be a one star review if I hadn't been coming to this place for twenty years. But whoever was working at 12:30p today, Feb 18th, should never be allowed to run the store again. This place is family owned, and the whole family is wonderful, but whoever this dude was, and the little girl hiding behind the counter, should never deal with people. Their starting flavor is rude, then it get sinto disrespectful and it all happens because they'te outright ignorant of the prices in the store. I hate that I'm going to have to start second guess coming here because of this kid.”
“I love World Market! This location is much smaller than mine and merch is kinda stuffed into the space. You cannot walk into the isle if someone else is there. I came in for a specific item and staff was SUPER helpful and kind! Not a fan of the store but the staff is AMAZING!!!!”
“This is the best place to go for liquor, snacks, and smokes. The owner, Sam, is always super friendly and makes you feel at home. He also always has an amazing staff. I come here rather than the store closer to me not only because the prices are lower but because they treat you like family. They always ask how you're doing and remember personal details of their clientele. You know you always feel welcome when you hear, "How are you doing, my friend?"”
“I grew up in this neighborhood. When Steve(the original owner) was running the store. I'm pretty sure he knew my siblings and I by name. We would save quarters and go play arcade games and buy as much candy as we could. He was so kind, he would sometimes allow us more candy even if we didn't have enough money. I have been there recently, and the place hasn't changed much, other than his grandkids running it now. It looks and feels the same. People at the register always have a smile and are very nice. This place will always be one of my favorites.”
“I live walking distance from this establishment. They're located on Beach Blvd. When my grandson visited; He, my husband and myself sat on the brick outside and watched the Lambos drive by. Ownership never said a word. My husband visits quite a bit. The store is like the old liquor stores when I was a kid. Everything is in clear view. Big displays. If you're looking for liquor, it's here. There's a very nice young man who always greets me. I don't receive greetings too much these days. Thank you Bluewave for being that old time, at home, friendly store. Yes, my grandson still asks about you and the Lambos. Keep up the excellent service.”
“This place has huge blended stock of alcohol. Very impressed with the variety. I bought a 1.75 liter bottle of Kahlua premixed with vodka, creme and rum labeled as white russian for $16.99. great price for a huge brand / ready to drink bottle. Very delicious when blended with ice.”
“The owner of this establishment is often present at the location.
He is constantly aware of his customers, and quite pleasant and welcome you with a greeting.”
“The new owners made this place unrecognizable it is super clean and very modern look amazing selection something could be cheaper but i dont mind paying because the cashier is great with his customers”
“These are the friendliest owners I have ever interacted with. Super friendly people. Liquor store has a decent selection and fair prices. I will return often just because the people are so nice. Thanks for running a great business.”
“Can't believe Top Hat is still here. I went to Rancho View(where Lowes is now, the OVSD bus depot was behind it) and would get candy there in the mid Seventies.”
“Just went with my husband to pick up a bottle of tequila for a white elephant Christmas exchange. They were giving a free margarita mix with each bottle of tequila.
As an owner of 2 businesses, I love to see businesses offering these little giveaways— it says a lot about how they conduct their business and care about their customers.”
“We were having Thankgiving at Longboards and realized that if family came back to our house after, we had no wine. We popped in here and got 6 bottles real quick. The pricing was pretty good for a liquor store (vs. a grocery store). Pricing seemed in line with what I would pay normally at Albertsons or Ralphs, less the bottle quantity discount that those places offer. Nice selection, plenty of cold bottles. Good place to go to when you have a wine emergency!”

“I rarely post reviews and even less for liqour stores. Today, i was in town from l.a and stopped at the goodwill next door, then decided to grab a drink here. The man working thw register was so nice and so welcoming. Hope your business thrives.”
“The dudes behind the counter are cool and they got the bucket of cheap shots right there on the counter. It's very convenient since it's right next to the laundromat that has arcade games. It's a mellow way to spend a couple hours doing laundry and playing puzzle bubble and they have a good selection of interesting drinks as well. Like interesting sodas and sparkling juices.”
“Excellent assortment of various kinds is alcohol. Staff is knowledge, professional, really nice and friendly. I shop here often and am never disappointed. I highly recommend them.”
“Close to home, regular liquor store prices but it's quick and convenient and so far all of the owners and people working there have been super cordial and friendly. When I don't want to travel to or deal with a supermarket, I go to Hamilton Liquor.”
“We provide a service for this place and I have had the pleasure of tasting the food and it's amazing everything is amazing you can't go wrong and service is amazing”
