If you love outdoor birds this is the store for you . Craig is so friendly and knowledgeable. All the staff is helpful and will carry large bags to your car. I recommend the no mess food! No more mess or weeds growing from the seed. I joined the membership club and get all my seed here. I was saddened to see a few negative reviews . Give the store another chance. You won't be disappointed . The Black Friday sake states clearly what is NOT included. I shop it every year ! I have been coming here for years and am thankful for an honest family run business .

I was at lunch at Cafe Rio right across the parking lot with some of my friends. As we walking back to the car, we noticed a sign across the way: Wild Birds Unlimited. With the time we had left, we embarked across the parking lot and walked in and was greeted warmly by a very friendly gentleman who asked us if we needed any help. We were just checking it out. I am not so into birds myself, especially wild birds. Although, is there really such a thing as a wild bird in Orange County? All the birds get fed fries and baked goods at shopping centers and restaurants. Really unfortunate the domestication of birds in 2022. Store was clean, staff was friendly, looked like they had a good supply of everything that you would need in order to feed birds. One problem: I walked into the store expecting to find wild birds, hence the name "Wild Birds Unlimited". I was expecting a parrot, toucan, cockatoo, or cockatiel, but there were none. Zero. No birds. Turns out, Wild Birds Unlimited has a VERY limited supply of birds. As my friend said as we left the store, "You don't go to Taco Bell and expect not to get tacos." Anyway. Nice place. Would come again. Looking forward to my next visit.

If you're like me and have stressful days; or, even if you think you might get depressed, I've got an answer for you! I haven't had my feeders for long, already posted a review, but now thrilled about exciting activity in my yard--why don't more people know about this!? So many beautiful birds--it took a few days for them (the birds) to notice--have visited! And, that's only the ones I looked outside for! Beautiful oranges, reds, yellows, wax blues, some mixtures of colors, and even a rare escaped exotic bird or two; can you imagine humming birds right next to you! I'm so glad to help these hungry critters (I can't imagine where else they eat) in my town that I've even decided to add a water source! Recently saw a hawk taking a bath!!! I can't thank the owners of Wild Birds Unlimited enough; they not only gave me a good setup, but assured me help along the way to replace- with a lifetime guarantee-anything I have issues with, but also give me advice on being seasonally savvy to provide the best foods and feeds in order to make my backyard a truly unique experience! I can't wait to invite my friends to see this! Backyard barbecues with the birds, here we come! None of my friends have this! I feel like Noah with an ark!

We drove all the way from Orange,Ca to come here to buy a nice little small bird house for the humming birds outside our house. We have a small 2yr old shoulder bird with us. (PeachFace Lovebird). We entered the store and was greeted by a guy if he can help us with anything I advised the guy that we are just checking out the store" He then noticed the bird on my shoulder and commented with a (negative vibe) "oh you have a bird" I replied yes, I was thinking oh boy' maybe no pets allowed I'll make this quick. I then asked the guy so what do you guys do here and at the same time I spotted the bird houses we were after with so I went straight for it. The guy replied oh we sell stuff for wild birds "NOTHING FOR DOMESTICATED BIRDS." As I was walking towards the bird houses he repeated again "Nothing for domesticated birds" I then saw a dog that was being carried by someone at the back door and the guy commented "yea.. The bird is "FREAKING OUT THE DOG". I stopped right there few steps towards the bird houses and turned around. I said, OK THANKS and we left! Irritated about what happened we went to Figueroa Pet Supplies at Santa Ana instead and turns out they have a lot of small bird houses to select from and tons of real fresh bird food you can buy per lbs for a very good price vs than this place! Oh and maybe you can request a custom built one for a cheaper price vs than what they are selling in this store shhhh

My name is Uncle David and I live in NYC. I feed birds from my 3rd floor apartment fire escape and my favorite place to buy high quality bird seed is Wild Birds Unlimited in Paramus, NJ.Recently, my niece (who I love more than life itself) in Orange County, CA. took an interest in feeding birds. Unfortunately, she hasn't had a good track record. She accidentally killed her hamster and recently drowned a baby starling that fell out of its nest by giving the poor thing a whole syringe full of water. ..."but Uncle David, it kept begging for more!" My darling niece is learning as she goes, as we all do.It's up to Uncle David to encourage my niece's love of animals and so I bought her a beautiful bird feeder to hang up in her backyard but how was I going to send her bird seed? Wild Birds Unlimited in NJ would've charged me $37 to send bird seed to California which is too expensive and the carbon footprint is decidedly not green at all. I researched and found another Wild Birds Unlimited in Huntington Beach, CA. and I called 15 minutes before closing time. The nicest person picked up the phone and he greeted me warmly. His name is Jonathan and he is owner of the Huntington Beach Wild Birds Unlimited store. I didn't want to be any trouble as I know how tired people are at the end of a day but Jonathan seemed to have all the time in the world. He laughed with me when I told him of my niece's horrific tragedy and he assured me that he would do his part in helping my niece along with her new journey into the world of birds. I then placed my order for a bag of bird seed over the phone. What happened next is the crux of this fairy tale. I asked Jonathan when he expected the seed to arrive. He said, "Tonight." What? I couldn't believe my ears. How was this possible? Jonathan said when he finished work he would simply drop the bag of bird seed off at my niece's house. It was just one bag of bird seed I ordered and it wasn't necessary. He told me it wasn't a problem at all. I mean, talk about disbelief and amazement? Wow! How could someone I never met before be this generous and giving? Sure enough, two hours later, Jonathan texted me this photo. Not only did Jonathan deliver the bag of bird seed to the front porch of the house but he gifted the seed in a beautiful bag with a nice note for my niece!Talk about going above and beyond! I've never experienced this before in my life. Too many people complain about how awful things are but very few people sing the praises of people who are good and caring. I'm doing that here. I'm singing the praises of Jonathan at Wild Birds Unlimited in Huntington Beach, CA. You see, there really is a Santa Claus. Thank you, Jonathan!

Love this place! Had seen it a few times and was curious about it but once I went in I was so happy that I did! I bought a giant bag of bird seed that I never thought I would go through! Low and behold I have come back twice in a few months for more food. Our backyard is full of birds, some that I have never seen before! We are always so happy to sit and watch which ones come every day! The owner, Jonathon is so nice and has so much information to share. Love the webcam in his backyard too! Great place to shop!

Covid regulations require you to carry bags from door to your car. Seed is heavy. Bring a friend or ask staff by phone to help you if the product you bought is too heavy for you to carry.

I was recommended Wild Birds Unlimited by a friend and I couldn't be more pleased. I went from a barren porch with nothing to hummingbirds and sparrows galore. I'm on the second floor of a condo. I couldn't get anything to come. It took about two - three months but they finally arrived!

We are here often. We just moved from Washington where this was our normal place for everything for our wild bird feeding needs. We were so happy to find a location close where the owner is so helpful and pleasant.
