My review is based on my experience as a guest to an event and not as the planner of the event. The place is beautiful. We attended a wedding here and the patio added a sense of spaciousness and relaxation with elegance. The restrooms were clean but they are a bit far from the hall. It is an open space, not ideal if you're looking for total privacy, but I think that's precisely what makes it special. At night, you can see the city lights at the distance. It is a venue I would definitely consider for an event of my own.

Great place to make a wedding. It was pretty, they place had their contacts for food, photographer, bartender, etc. Brenda the planner for events, was so helpful it was great having her. I will highly recommend this place for weddings, the view is gorgeous for pictures, and there was a lot place for guest.

This venue is a good place to have a wedding and reception. The wedding area is nice and provides good views of San Diego skyline and Coronado Bridge. Being close to the water you do get a nice ocean breeze. The indoor reception area features large garage style doors making the venue feel more open. There is a nice open courtyard to socialize with guests during the event. There are some downsides to the venue. There is a bike path right next to the ceremony area, and had a few passerby yell comments during the ceremony. Also the parking is sparse due to competing businesses nearby. Also the reception venue isn’t treated for acoustics, so the sound just bounces and echos everywhere making it hard to understand anyone speaking through a microphone and PA. The bathrooms are shared with other businesses also and out of the way.

Salt Drift Pointe was a dream come true. The venues beautiful views of the downtown San Diego skyline and Coronado Bridge were like a postcard. It provided the optimal setting and open layout for our event. It has really set the standard for what I now look for in an event venue space in San Diego County. Most refreshing was their level of customer service. From start to finish they were best in class helping to coordinate everything in planning our event. They will be my number 1 referral for San Diego, CA events ... until Richard (owner) decides to open another venue in the greater SD County area. Top notch ... thanks again to you and your staff.

Vendor POV. Nice venue with a beautiful view and the possibility of renting the space for several hours. Unfortunately, the staff is a little limited and parking area is small for the total capacity of the venue.

****LADY OWNER - DISCRIMINATION AND UNFAIRNESS ****I would give this place more stars due to the set up being amazingly beautiful but I got to give it one due to an experience I had with the lady owner. I was a guest to my friends wedding and to start more than a handful of tables had bottles on them , one even had 5 ! The owner came straight to our table in the corner (brides friends) and grabbed our bottle explaining that her rules are no bottles at the table and that we either "take it to the car or give it to the bar". My boyfriend took it to the car due to there only being a little less than half left and so I spoke to her outside finding her reason as to why she just came to our table and not the others since she had to pass all the other tables with bottles just to get to ours...Her reasoning was " I have a contract with them and not with you" "That is the family's table" ...the other tables with bottles were guests as well and not even the couples direct family that she has a contract with... So due to us not being family and only being friends she couldn't "bend the rules " as she said. She also went to explain her big rule of "no bottles at the tables only at the bar" but I made it clear as a business owner if there is a big rule it should be applied to all and not just certain people due to one paying and the other a guest. She couldn't even give me a more reasonable explanation after I said that "big rules" should be applied and decided to just walk away... Due to her only picking on me and the other friends at our table we all felt very discriminated against and everything was very unfair and what was even more upsetting was that me and my boyfriend were going to head back inside to celebrate my friend's marriage but she told us " due to you guys taking your bottle back to your car I'm going to have to ask you two to leave" !!! And to top it all off , I'm Mexican and I'm only saying that because I may not look Mexican so when she told her employee next to her "she's drunk just stand here and pretend to listen" in Spanish , I was extremely hurt because I was not drunk since I clearly remember everything and I was trying to have a civil conversation with the owner and was not rude to her once. I don't usually write reviews and the bottle situation isn't even a big deal but the owner's responses and reasoning to the situation and cutting my time short on my friends big night made me want to write this review because it was unfair and seems a bit of discrimination at this point .

My wife and I held both our wedding ceremony and venue at Salt Drift Pointe in Imperial Beach and it made our wedding memorable. They have a lot of equipment that we used for both the ceremony and venue that is included with the price so you don't have to worry about renting a lot of stuff. The owners were great and they answered all the questions that we needed about the venue. We also hired their bartending services and everything went smoothly.

My wife and I got married here and we loved every second of it!! Beautiful location and scenery. Just note that it's kind of a DIY venue, you essentially rent out the venue space and then pick your all your vendors on your own. We hired a wedding coordinator, Ashley Fabrigas, who contacted all the vendors and made our wedding run perfectly! 100% would not change a thing!

venue is beautiful, but the communication from the managers, owners, and people in charge was low-grade. It was easy to get in touch but they took days or even months to get back with information. They messed up my set up date and when we arrived everything was unorganized and hard to work with. If that's something you'd deal with then go ahead with booking, but give it a thought.

Beautiful location. Visited during The Tapatío Festival tribute to Guadalajara. The festival was both indoors and outside but the inside part was open to the outside. This was good because it was a really warm sunny day and there was only shade inside.

Beautiful venue! A full view of downtown San Diego and the Coronado bridge. The layout is perfect for a ceremony and wedding reception, with things to do in between like corn hole and walking up and down the shore. Loved my experience here, and the on-site staff is so kind and helpful!

My wife and I used the venue on 6/24 to get married when we 1st went to check it out it looked perfect and Richard was very nice giving Us a tour then went downhill from there we wanted to reserve it for a day and was waiting to receive the invoice to pay and never received the email we called and they said to check spam or junk and still nothing because they sent to wrong email. After that we used Richards bar service as our bartender and we were told they would provide mixers and garnishes day of the wedding there was no strawberry’s for my wife’s strawberry margarita also they only brought one bottle of margarita mix which ran out early in the night. I was not able to have a single margarita when I Finnaly was able to make my way to the bar. Another thing day of the wedding the venue owners were suppose to clear out the venue. They did not move a giant tv because they said we requested it when we specifically told them we did not want to pay extra money for the tv. They then said it could not be moved cause the broke the wheel day of the wedding and it was blocking the spot where we needed to hang drapes on the wall so it was a giant mess luckily or drapes guy was able to hang the drapes and double layer to hide the the tv. My wife was showing up to the venue in her wedding dress with me standing on pier waiting for her and she had no idea if the drapes were even installed or not. It was problem after problem we also used richards food service and was told there would be ceviche and tacos my wife and I walked up to the food booth probably 10th in line and was told there was no ceviche. If I was you I was stay clear even though they seem like nice people they will change the day off your wedding and give you attitude on your special day.
