Hours: The Ca Midwinter Fair & Fiesta offers race cars, animals, arts and crafts, and food. Visitors can enjoy soda, waffle cones with ice cream, cotton candy, and popcorn. Parking is good, and families can get their picture taken at the fair. The fair is a great family tradition for many, with a good atmosphere and great food. Going later in the evening when it cools off is best. Some visitors feel the food pricing is outrageous and over priced, with funnel cake at $19.00, though it is manageable if you seek out a few places. Lower prices on basic food and drinks would be appreciated. The fair is placed at the wrong time, as March brings strong winds and rain in the valley, and rides may not function due to weather. Different timing is recommended. Races needed more cars for more people, and charging on Friday and Saturday the last weekend was an inconvenience, as visitors were told after waiting in line to go to the main office for tickets, and the race had already started. Better advertising of what races will be charged is suggested. Discounts on wristbands for games and rides saved money. The fair will always hold its shine for many generations to come.
