“My dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's 11 years ago and just moved from Tennessee to Sherman Oaks. Dad was lonely and longing for community and Parkinson's Resource Organization stepped in! There's a monthly meeting facilitated by Neil Friedman, PRO Board Member, at The Village At Sherman Oaks where my dad lives. The education, the camaraderie and the laughs have completely changed my dad's life - and my own. Thank you PRO, Neil and Eileen!”

“I have been coming here for years exploring all different kinds of art lessons. Recently I have had the pleasure of learning from Angel in glass fushion. Angel is very talented and always willing to make suggestions and offer ideas to improve our projects.
In the past I’ve worked on many projects with Netties as well; another gem at OTAS
Looking forward to continuing in the fall”

“Great place! I've had their shredder trucks come to my house to shred a lot of stuff, but I just had a few boxes and a computer hard drive, and they were very helpful.

They even helped me get the hardrive out of my computer which I couldn't do.

Also very reasonable pricing!”

“Coachella Valley women’s business Center is located here at the CSUSB Hub. I have received awesome free business mentoring for my small business. I am a graduate of The. It’s Your Time program where they assisted me with an idea I had for a business through Creating my business plan and implementing my pop-up shop and online store. As I navigate the ins and out of being a business owner, the business center staff has been there to coach me. They are an invaluable resource for anyone starting or managing A business. The counselor’s are in person or online. The new office is coupled with CSUSB Hub. It offers, free internet , conference rooms, a place to study, comfortable lounge, chairs, counselors, a kitchen area clean bathroom facilities and the best part is a wonderful air conditioner. I highly recommend the CSUSB Hub for any small business or student.

Very Grateful,

“I love this new location! Always such a good variety of things here! I've gotten purses, hats, books, and much more here. When I came in a couple of days ago my boyfriend purchased a couple of books for $5. The employees are always so nice, and when they are working they look like they are having fun with each other, which personally I think is important when having a job. Love coming here!”

“Great find and terrific experience! I am so glad I read a few reviews before deciding on a shredding service. Thanks to all who led me to choose Desert Arc; I am adding my feedback as encouragement for the next potential customer. I wanted to find a shredding service that would come to me, and I wanted to know my documents were shredded when they left. I spoke with Jose several times by phone; he was very patient with my many questions. Raphael was the driver who handled my shredding; he could not have been nicer. Not only did they do exactly what they promised, handled everything professionally and at what felt like a fair price for the service, but Desert Arc is a non-profit doing good work in the community. You will feel good choosing them.”

“I understand why d add some don’t like this location, but I do. Remember yo bring bags and paper to wrap things. They do not have any. I like the layout, selection and prices. At 2 pm all the clothes go on sale 40% off. Yes I said all clothes.
Otherwise they have no discount for tag color or for seniors etc. I still like it.”

“I've ridden many organized rides and races over the years, but the TdPS is remains one of my favorites, having participated several times. There are mileage options to fit every fitness level, but at about 3000' of elevation gain, the 100 mile option is perfect for anyone wanting to try their first century. But be advised that the roads along the course run the gamut from silky smooth to rough and uneven (This is a desert after all). So a set of sturdy tires and a good sense of awareness and bike-handling skill are highly recommended. Ride support and SAG are first-rate compared to other events. Palm Springs and the surrounding communities love their yearly Tour and it shows; Local bands, cheerleaders, CHP traffic control, friendly volunteers, random spectators offering encouragement, food, mechanics, even bike valets at the rest stops. And of course, the festival-like atmosphere before and after the event. If you only do one ride this year, this should be it. AND it still remains one of the most reasonably priced.”

“This is chapter 78 They meet at Coco's in Palm Desert the first Tuesday of every month at 5 p.m.. Meetings will start again in September, they do not have meetings in June July or August (they go dark during these months) Primary contact is done for a p.o. box 13052 Palm Desert California 92260 The person I spoke with did not answer the phone professionally did not identify himself with title did not welcome me even though I identified myself as a lifetime member was not encouraging or friendly over the phone. I suspect he is paid by the DAV to maintain a link to their organization in the area where he lives,he lists his home address as a business address but makes it very clear when speaking to him that this is not a meeting place. Kind of strange,”

“I have never stayed at this shelter personally, however, I have a family member has been there for a couple of months now. The CVRM has given her support, guidance, resources, and a job there. They have what appears to be some good programming. My only complaint would be that they're possibly a little too restrictive in regard to allowing someone to find a job outside of the shelter while providing them with the cushion to get on their feet so that they can exit the shelter and make room for someone else. I can only assume this is because they need their residents to work on campus, but there needs to be a way to change this scenario more quickly. Unfortunately, they have to be in the shelter for a long enough period of time first. Kinda seems like the mistake the government makes in giving people disability and then kicking them off immediately if they make too much money, instead of allowing someone to have the cushion to get ahead.”
