I went to buy injera and grounded meat. The store owner welcomed me with beautiful smile and a great customer service. The time she went inside ( another room) to prepare the meat which I requested to be grind. I started looking around all over the store. Every single item placed well in organized. If you actually want to buy something with out asking:- where can I ...? Question , you will find it easily. It's very neat. No dust at all. I recommend the owner to keep this great job for future. If you are looking Ethiopian food, clothes, herbs, ANYTHING! I won't have enough space to mention all. You should go to Geni mini market. Everyone is welcome and you will leave the store with smile after getting quality customer service.

I went there for the first time the other day, and I bought 2 lbs of beef. The meat was beautiful and fresh. Only thing is it was about $10 a lb. So I thought that was kinda steep price. Other than that the owner seemed like a sweet lady. Def going back again the meat was too good.

The price and the taste of the injera was good...but after making multiple purchases and forming trust, I feel taken advantage of. On ethiopian new years I bought 3 packs of injera and 1 pound of meat and was only given 2 packs of injera. I noticed a few days later and when confronted, the store owner dismissed the issue and said the order was right but also had the order wrong verbally. Her receipt has no items so there is no explanation of pricing.Additionally, the teff I bought from her was not good or recommended but she swore by it to make a sale.I will not go back after being treated like that. I have attached the receipt for 4 items that does not show pricing.

The store is fine and has ok stock but I was not very happy with my repeat business. I was not happy with customer relations and lack of receipt/pricing transparency.

FORGET LIL ETHIOPIA. This is the absolute BEST places for Injera and other special spices from the Ethiopian culture. You can even get ready to eat to-go plates if u call ahead and place and order. The owner is so nice and she makes and packages everything by hand, such a wonderful place!

Geny is the definition of a neighborhood gem! She runs a very clean, organized and resourceful business. Anything I have ever needed for traditional Ethiopian dishes can all be found here. She also prepares pre-cooked food, just let her know ahead of time for rather large orders. Please come here and support this wonderful lady!

I discovered this wonderful store yesterday. I was looking for ingredients to make Ethiopian Doro Wat and Injeera flatbread. This was the right place to come. A really well stocked food store where everything was nicely displayed. The owner was very friendly and helpful. If you like to make Ethiopian food, go here!!

Geni is the best. Very neat and well organized mini market. We love shopping there. You can find 100% teff injera and all the essential spiceses to make Ethopian food. As well as pre-cooked Ethiopian food.
