Do not bring your pets here. My dog got clipped and bled on the left arm and groomed to the skinned when it didn't need to. Not all but most of the Staffs are unreasonably unfriendly. I can't trust this place

DO NOT GO TO THIS BANFIELD OR ANY OTHER BANFIELD!!! -1,000 stars! 5 reasons to not use Banfield: 1. Service is terrible 2. Doctors lack respect and ANY ounce of empathy 3. Equipment is lacking and they always recommend uncharges 4. Staff is extremely inexperienced 5. Services are bare and ANY extras for decent care are charged

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Banfield Pet Hospital, specifically highlighting the Vet Manager, staff and VET. I brought my pup Prince in for eye issues and discharge. From the very beginning, the Vet Manager demonstrated an unparalleled commitment to the well-being of Prince. She took the time to explain medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive care measures clearly and compassionately. The staff was courteous, and the Vet was very thorough in making sure Prince had everything he needed for optimal health. I wholeheartedly recommend Banfield Pet Hospital to any pet owner seeking the highest standard of care for their furry family members.

I would give negative 100 stars if I could hoping to lower their yelp status to half a star or something. We brought our pup here rather than our usual vet as they had the fastest appointment date. 1st red flag: While there they try hard to push their program on you which is like an insurance policy you can only use with them pretty much. I even explained how we have amazing insurance already through Akc fully loaded and they still went through the whole thing. (Very off putting) 2nd red flag: During our visit the vet was very friendly. She recommended doing some labs and we'd get the results in 48 hours. However once we left the vet was completely unavailable. We followed up multiple times to no avail and they were not able to get our lab results to us until over a month later. 3rd red flag: The staff said they couldn't give us the lab results as they need a vet to consult us on the results. Then there was not available vets. The vet we saw also went on vacation at some point during the long delay. It was the vet that saw our pup that ended up getting us the lab results when we finally did get them (again over a month later) Interestingly the results were ready within 48 hours of our coming (we requested a copy sent to us and it says on the labs), so I'm baffled at why they couldn't deliver. This was very unprofessional and timely as lab results are no good if not received within a certain time frame. Definitely don't come here. I wish I read the reviews and warning about the change of ownership / name. All the good reviews were from before the change.

Took our dog Bubba in today for some eye issues after being passed off at a few other locations and so happy we found this place. Dr Kasaei listened to our concerns and we felt heard. She was very thorough and ran some tests and now our dog will finally start feeling better. Also thank you Dang for being so helpful and kind. Very happy with our experience thank you again!

Awful experience at this location! Zero stars!I have been taking my pets here for years however the quality has declined over the years.I made an appointment to take my cat here after the vet requested to see her before filling a prescription she's been on for 5+ years. I made the appointment over the phone however I was not told that it was a drop off appointment rather than regular appointment. I showed up with my cat and where I was directed to leave her there and it would take 2 hours. I returned home without my cat and waited two hours when I received a call letting me know that my cat was still waiting to be seen. It took (7) seven hours for my cat to be seen. She is very sensitive and is a senior cat so she was very upset by this time. The vet called me around 4 P.M. (the appointment was scheduled for 9:15 A.M.) to let me know that my cat is very upset and that they cannot touch her due to aggression. I went to pick up my cat right away and the soft case carrier was soaked in urine. My cat looked very upset and disturbed. Luckily, the prescription was filled however the vet was not able to see my cat, cut her nails, or take a look at an inverted nipple that has an abscess. Over the years I have taken my cat here she has never shown aggression. She was clearly upset from sitting in her carrier for hours. I was charged $100 for the visit (please refund me!). I am looking into other options for vet care.I must say, the employee working at the front desk was wonderful and very helpful. She did all she could to make my experience less stressful. When I arrived to pick up my cat, there was a line of people waiting to pick up there pets. It took 30 minutes for me to check-out and leave with my cat. The employee at the front desk asked for assistance from their colleagues to help with checking people out but nobody responded over the radio or came out to assist. All of the patrons in the lobby were laughing at the situation but overall it was very sad. I am not sure what the issue is with this location but it was never this way when it was Arbor Animal Hospital. Does anyone have any vet recommendations?

Extremely disappointed in Banfield as a whole and regrettably this location. The lack of professionalism with not only the front desk, the vet “available today” along with their corporate customer service 800 number is terrible. We previously went to the Tustin Park Ave location for a few years and left due to the front desk service. Was very pleased to switch over to this Irvine location based off of the positive experience we had with the vet over a year ago.Unfortunately today they once again showed their lack of customer service - care. My husband waited for over 20 minutes at the front desk with nobody greeting him, and no one watching the phones/front desk …?The on staff vet that was available today was not willing to provide us with a refill of our Pomeranians thyroid medication that prevents him from having seizures without additional blood work being pulled which requires time and preparation. Meanwhile I reached out to the customer service line to explain what is going on, was hung up on within 3 minutes.I have been paying $68.95 a month for over three years to have their insurance on our pup and only used the services once or twice a year. All we were asking for is refill of his thyroid medicine which is crucial for the well being of our pup. I really question their care for animals. And bottom line.I do have to mention once my husband did get assistance the girl at the front desk went out of her way to help get a refill going. But only after much explanation and urgency. We appreciate her but regrettably this will be the last of our attempts to try to use Banfield. And will absolutely not refer Banfield to friends /family.

2 stars instead of 1 because I actually like Dr. Chang a lot and have been seeing her at this location for several years. As for all of the other staff... not sure if it's incompetence or negligence. Dr. Koupaei ordered the wrong fecal test so had to return a second time to fix the mistake (and pay for the new test). Took 37 days since our visit for the front desk to approve the prescription requests for heartworm and flea/tick preventative medications for my dog, and required many frustrating phone calls to the front office only to wait on hold or beg them to follow up on the prescriptions. Unfortunately, this took so long, they retroactively changed the refill number of these drugs so that I can't get a 1 year prescription for some and will instead have to take a day off work (again) in 6 months to take my dog in for a new medical evaluation (which I have to pay for) and a new heartworm test (which I have to pay for). Quality of care has significantly declined since Banfield took over this location a couple of years ago. They may seem cheaper upfront for cost of care but be warned this location is a headache that will cost you more in the long term.

Waste of time and money, they didn't do what they were supposed to do. They don't even deserve one star!

Worst vets clinic ever!!! Disorganized and they'll give you the run around all day. Avoid at all costs. Would give 0 stars if possible.

Don't waste your time or money. Don't come here! We started going here since we moved to OC and at first, we had great experiences until the last three visits. I also noticed everyone was new and the old staff has been replaced including the front desk receptionists/assistants and the doctor we used to see. This last visit is the last straw. I got all our records and we will not return. We initially came for gi symptoms; my dog was throwing up 3-4 days in a row and when we came in, there was an incidental finding of ear infection which is great so we can get it treated, but the gi symptoms were never addressed! The doctor never called me; it was one of the technicians that I spoke to when I picked up my dog and even then they just said keep him on a bland diet which he was already on one....and I asked if he needs blood work to check for pancreatitis or something and the tech said just to watch him. so we go back for a check up. His ear infection is improving and I told them I could smell a fowl maybe bloody smell from his mouth. The doctor said maybe he has gingivitis let's put him on a dental diet. Like what?!? Maybe he has gingivitis?! I went to pet smart to pick up the prescription and spoke to someone there and they said don't waste your money it doesn't sound like the doctor knows for sure. I do brush his teeth every night. So we returned today for another check for his ear infection and he has had stools with mucous for 5 days and the receptionist was telling me that only his ears will be addressed because this is why he is here. I was irritated as okay sure, but his stomach issues were never addressed in the first place. The doctor calls me and asks me if I want to do labs and stool test, but at this point I don't intend to follow up with you so it will be pointless. She told me a time to pick him up and of course they weren't even ready for checking out. When they were finally ready I asked if his anal glands were expressed like we discussed when I dropped him off and come to find out, they didn't even check! The receptionist was like do you want us to take him back? At that point, I was done because I was already waiting as they weren't ready for us to be checked out so why even give us a time if you weren't going to be ready. We all have lives, work, and places to be. Goodbye UPDATE: turns out my dog has pancreatitis after all. I had to take him elsewhere to get better care! Some place called an urgent care!!!

As a long-time technician at Arbor Animal Hospital, I am saddened that Banfield seems to have lost the trust and approval which all of the staff worked so hard to earn. Large vet corporations have ruined veterinary medicine.

This was my go-to for YEARS. Took my dogs to Mobley for years, and after he retired we started taking them to Peth. After she retired- this place has DETERIORATED completely. Absolutely disgusting, never in my entire life would I have imagined this building I've been visiting for YEARS would house a vet that would say "it's not my job to know what is wrong with your pet, nor is it my job to provide you with correct info on their diagnosis" I am still in awe as I type this. Like something out of a movie. Absolutely bizarre. Do NOT take your pet here. This is light-years below what they used to be. Disgusted and disappointed is an understatement. TAKE NOTICE: 95% of positive reviews came from when this place was Arbor. Once Banfield purchased it- it went downhill.
