What a joke at the bank today! The teller plays make-believe as the "Branch Manager" but didn't even know the basics of international transfers. She just parroted "just use the SWIFT code", like that's the magic fix for everything. Clueless and overconfident, she's walks around all puffed up as she owns the place. Even calling her "mid" is too generous.

The front desk “manager” who thinks she's the big boss but didn't even know the basics of international transfers. She was so sure of herself, acting like she knew everything and cannot help me to fix the bank extra charge for the transaction fee. She even laughed in front of me, absolutely extra rude! It was like watching a kid play a wizard, thinking she can make money appear with just a word. Too bad banking isn't that simple, right?

When I stepped into the branch, I saw a middle-aged couple struggling to cash their check at a teller window. From what I can hear, they have been a BoA customer over 10 years and never initiated any recent changes in their bank account. The line was pretty long, and the teller seemed to focus on getting the couple away from the windows so that he can serve another customer instead of figuring out the problem and solving it. The couple finally asked to speak with the manager; but the manage, after long waiting, simply told the couple that there was a problem and promised the couple to investigate the problem away from the teller window. By the time, I got to the front of the line and finally took case of my business, the couple was still waiting for the manager to come out of his booth and meet them. What a horrible customer service!

Whenever I go there I get very good service. Even in walk-ins I didn’t had to wait more than 30mins.

I had a very unpleasant visit today when wiring money for home escrow. A "relationship manager" assisted with the wire. She handed a packet to me asking me to sign the first and last page. She got very agitated when i insisted on reviewing the packet before signing the last page and she used the phrase "you don't need to review it, just sign it". I will be avoiding business with this BoA branch in the future.P.S. There was a 45 minute wait.

As most of people who has had bad experience at this I'll-fated Bank of America, I'd say the branch has been getting very bad for the business lately. Their tellers are hardly working, and managers are ignorant about the service. I was too disgusted at all of these workers there, I visited one of Chase Bank in Irvine. They are totally different from BoA and so nice and kind to everybody I saw at the time of my visit. So I opened my business account there and will use them without hassle that BoA has given me.

Only two tellers all the time. Every time I come in line is 10 people deep. You think they would hire more people. 6 personal banker and only two tellers.

我最喜欢练习中文的银行!Something I really appreciate about Irvine is that the large Chinese populations means that, if they're amenable, you can find professionals willing conduct normal daily interactions in your target language. Not everyone is game for the awkward slowness that comes with indulging my Chinese, but here they have always been warm and supportive. Special shout out to Lin Zhou for making my attempt to deposit a large check not just successful but educational and fun! 都谢!

BE CAREFUL of CHERYL!!The bank stole $100 from me. I came in to the bank and gave them $2,100 in small bills to exchange that amount to $100 dollar bills. When it was my turn to go to the bank teller window, the banker was named Cheryl (asian lady). I first told Cheryl that I wanted to exchange my $2,100 small bills into $100 dollar bills. So I gave her the $2,100 small bills. She got them, and while she was holding onto my money, she asked me, "How much is this?" I then told her, "$2,100." Cheryl then asked me to take out my debit card and put it in the credit card machine to put in my PIN #. While I was distracted taking out my debit card to put it in the credit card machine, she was putting my money in the money counter. After I put away my debit card, she got the $100 dollar bills I asked for, and she told me, "Here is $2,000." I then told her, "No, I gave you $2,100." So, Cheryl told me, "when I counted, it was only $2,000." Then I asked her, "Where is the original money that I gave you?" She then told me she has already put it away in the cash drawer (mixed up with the other cash bills). SO, my concern is, after counting my original money, WHY didn't she tell me and check in with me how much it was before putting the money into the cash drawer??? If she knew that I originally told her in the beginning that I have $2,100 in cash, why didn't she tell me that the amount she counted did not match what I said??? She never checked in with me afterwards to confirm with me that she only counted $2000 instead of $2,100. She just straight up gave me $2,000 and said "here is $2,000." I am 1000% sure it was $2,100 because I counted my bills many times over and over again before I went into the bank, and I asked my daughter to double check it for me. Usually bank tellers have to tell you the amount they counted in the money counter to confirm it with the customer before putting it into the cash drawer. BUT she did not!!! When she was putting in the money in the cash counter, she got me distracted by telling me to get my debit card and inputting in my PIN number, so I did not see the money counting machine. Why didn't she show me the amount the money counting machine counted before putting the money in the money drawer? This seems so suspicious and unprofessional. I then talked to the manager, and he tried helping, but couldn't. Since Cheryl already put my money in the cash drawer mixed up with all other different bills, HOW are they suppose to find my original dollar bills now?? The manager asked Cheryl whether or not I told her the original amount that I had (which was $2,100) before having her count the bills in the money counter. Cheryl told the manager that I never told her that I had $2,100. Cheryl STRAIGHT UP LIED TO THE MANAGER that I never told her that I had $2,100 originally. LIKE WHAT?? I DID tell her and she lied about it, which is making me feel very shocked and suspicious. Why would she lie about that?? The manager then just told me he couldn't do anything for me and he will open an investigation for me. So now I have to wait. I am so shocked and disappointed with this bank. I am concerned that CHERYL is able to work as a banker. If she does this to customers, she does not deserve to work in a bank. She is a liar. I do not know what she did to my $100. I will update once the investigation is over.
