CarMax isn't like car sales dealerships.
They're very easy to deal with, get assistance, and get the right car for you. The Irvine, CA, USA office is quite big, easy to get around in and efficient.

Whatever they’re paying Ivan, it’s not enough. He went through the paperwork flawlessly and helped get our car sold to Carmax quickly and easily. He explained everything and answered all questions. Ask for Ivan when you go, you won’t regret it.

Great selection of used cars at great prices. I like that there is no back-and-forth. The price is what’s on the sticker, so you either take it or leave it. Which is what makes the process so much faster. If I count the hour it took to look at the car, test drive it and discuss it…the entire process was about 3 hours with financing. They do get busy, so I recommend making an appointment.

It's always disappointing when you know more than the person that's going out there to show you the cars. I had questions and they had no answers. I don't expect the sales associates to be experts and everything because they have such a large selection but I do you expect them to know something. Not a good experience

Selling my car to CarMax was an incredibly quick and smooth transaction. Filled out a online form, took some pictures and uploaded a couple things. Then took my car to the local CarMax and got my check. Would totally recommend CarMax.

I took my car to sell. They offered $1400 for my car claiming that my car has a transmission problem. However, my car is worth $9000 and there is no transmission problem.

Carmax Irvine was super easy to work with. We choose to do the express appointment and had uploaded all our documents. We were told that it would take max 30 mins to finalize the purchase. I signed all the required docs and had a check in hand within 23 min, I decided to time it. Overall great experience.

The process of checking the car out and the transaction was great. The car is amazing.
Once I got the car things turned south. The car was not washed completely. Had orange spots all over the top of the car. The sunroof had a MAJOR crack and the windshield had a small crack. All should have been noted or corrected before the car was even listed. Now I have to go back-in forth to fix these issues.

I highly recommend Addison in sales. He is friendly, genuine, and transparent. I have bought 2 cars from him now and will go to him every time as long as he works here.
The appraisal process was also amazing. We got more than expected, and it was easy. No fighting, no hassle, and we got more than we thought we would for our Honda Accord and Ford Maverick.

My experience started with Carson. He was very helpful, and courteous. I test drove a vehicle and returned two days later to make the purchase. However, Carson had that day off and Mitchell proceeded to help me out. The High Level of Professionalism and Courtesy that both of these gentlemen displayed speaks volumes to Carmax at Irvine. I am very pleased to say that anyone who enters this particular store is in for a great experience!!! I Highly recommend everyone who is in the market to pay them a visit!

Im active duty military and gave my father permission to sell my car a 2013 chevy sonic back in 2020 because I was stationed across the country. After looking through my record I noticed this location priced it out and labeled it as a 2013 chevy spark which is a cheaper vehicle and brought down the sale price. This truely struck a nerve with me because you took advantage of a man who didnt know the car and I could not be there to correct it. You have lost a customer for life.
