Hicks Canyon Park is a pretty, clean park with plenty of parking and shaded spots. It has a nice grass field that is well maintained and freshly cut, a large spot for soccer and a couple soccer fields that are considered pretty good, one of the best after Woodbury. The playground is decent sized, new and clean for kiddos, and there is a well kept baseball field, an outdoor public gym and a soccer field. The park is family friendly for walks and bike rides, dog friendly, and near shopping areas, restaurants and Starbucks. Access gates are locked.
We had a very nice afternoon with my grandkids. They had fun in the splash pad. Nana even went in with them. Titi enjoyed the shade.

I've umpired on the fields here a few times now. Great baseball fields! Well cared for. No major holes in the outfield, and a nicely groomed infield. So nice that at the beginning of the game, our plate umpire managed a perfect shot! Tradition to roll the first game ball up to the mound before the game.

Toddler friendly playground but no baby swings. Playground is well kept and the bathrooms are clean. There is a changing table and bathroom seems to be restocked and cleaned often. Not very crowded on a weekday. Lots of walkways were blocked due to construction so you may need to take the long way back if you parked where... read full comment
