The general manger Edgar/Eddie is rude and unprofessional. You’re much better going to the other LA Fitness’ in the area.

The staff is good, but the gym needs remodelingThere is one flat bench in the whole gym if you want to use the dumbbells you have to waitThe management needs to step up and invest in the equipment, no need to be cheap !!

First day I went in I was forced to write a five star review lol. I was pushed so hard to take personal training. He even asked me ”Don’t you even have 100$ to spare every week? What do you even do for work”. Pathetic. No one wears masks (not enforced even after state mandate). Nobody cleans equipment after use. No gym etiquette. Nobody ever racks the weights and you spend half the time searching all over the place.Edit March 2024- this gym is a joke. they forgot the time changePicture here is the crowd outside the door at 8:20 am. Someone forgot the clock is changing today

Someone needs to control the group of Asian women who go to zumba classes and stay on front row. They are absolutely despicable and aggressive. Bullies!

I really like the gym, I go there several times a week. The facilities are complete and the environment is good. The manager Edgar can speak Chinese and is a very nice person.

This place is terrible. It’s always hot and humid inside, all the equipment is dirty and usually in some state of disrepair, and it’s always INCREDIBLY CROWDED.This is a bigger problem caused by the city of Irvine who continues to build mass housing in the neighborhood but refuses to add any retail space. Typically a business run this poorly would go out of business, but since there are no alternatives in the area people have no choice but to come here.

I just recently purchased a membership here because I absolutely loved the convenience and versatility I experienced when having the free VIP pass. As someone who is constantly on the go, it’s nice being able to access so many locations nearby, as well as having many machines/spaces available with the size of the gym and lots of different options for workouts.Edgar at the East Irvine location was especially super helpful. He completely went out of his way to help me get my membership and facilitated every step from A to Z with great levels of communication, and amazing customer service. And he also speaks Spanish and Chinese ?

Nice gym. My issue… there is not enough equipment and weights.

Very often crowded with rowdy, younger crowds that are on their phones, hoarding the equipment.

Melissa at the front desk is very professional & courteous. She is always smiling & very welcoming! Hopefully she checks you in! I heard she’s also in the daycare area & our neighbor parents love her! If you are planning on joining & bringing your children know that you & your family are in special, caring hands! She treats you like a VIP!

Ok. It’s an LA fitness. The usual problems you get with large corporate gyms exist here but they at least try to keep the place up at this location. For the most part the machines work, place is clean, and staff is friendly. The downside? The clientele. There doesn’t seem to be any gym etiquette here. I would say the majority of the clients here are respectful, however, there are pockets of young adults that group up and take over sections of the gym. That’s fine, but get off your phone or stop flexing at yourself in the mirror and let other people use the equipment and bathroom. The horseplay has caused me to stop working out because they almost fall into me while doing reps. The bathroom gets blown out at the end of the day with people just tossing paper towels but staff does try to stay on top of it.Overall, I have no major complaints. Kids will do kids stuff, just have to not let it bother you and continue to get your sweat on.There is plenty of parking and a janky juice bar that can’t quite figure it out yet.

Salespeople are very pushy and lack transparency when asked about pricing and rates. I asked the salesperson, an older Asian lady, multiple times about the cost of a membership, but she kept deflecting my questions until I firmly informed her I wanted to see the facilities and understand their pricing plans before I went any further.Upon touring the facilities, the gym equipment is packed too closely and is a bit old.
