I really like this La Quinta. Clean and nice, and friendly staff. I am staying here for the second time, and really appreciate the friendly and helpful assistance of Arthur at the front desk. He is awesome! I will be back for the third, fourth, fifth, and many more times!

It's hard to trust reviews on Yelp for hotels because everyone has their own needs and tend to be picky on certain things. I tend not to look at Yelp for this reason. That was dumb on my part, make sure to read reviews because they are accurate for this place. The rooms in the Silo's are dark, scary, and haunted. The noise from the trains and people above you will keep you up all night long if you are a light sleeper. We tried to switch rooms but were told the next room could be just as loud.... We opted to stay put for the second night and contemplated leaving a night earlier if need be. Again the noise levels from the room above us were so loud it sounds as if the ceiling is going to cave in with every step they take. We deiceded to leave, I asked the front desk for partial refund and was told the manager would contact me when he comes in that night. Two days have passed and no one has reached out. I will not ever come here again. This place needs to close down. Pay the extra $60 a night and go somewhere else on the opposite side of the tracks.

Worse hotel I've ever stayed at. The silo's are creepy and the ceiling noise from the top floors will keep you up all night. The train noise sounds like a jet taking off and makes the entire room shake. Why is this hotel still open?! It is not worth the $300 for two nights.

The family and I wanted to spend some time in Irvine and be close to the Spectrum. Great location! Near the freeway, only a few minutes away from the Spectrum, and next to a family owned hamburger restaurant that we enjoyed. We didn’t expect to see the historical farmhouse in the back so that was a pleasant surprise to have an educational experience as well!I saw some reviews complaining about the noise from the trains but we could hardly notice the noise. In fact, the kids actually thought the train was cool.Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.Overall, pleasant stay, friendly staff, great location. Would stay again!

I stayed one night with my family. Beds were clean and comfy. Walking distance to a burger spot and a Dennys for when you get hungry. The staff was friendly and helpful. I called to ask when breakfast service was, they informed me it was from 7-10 am. Breakfast had a good selection and adequate seating. I would definitely come back in the future.Food & drinks: Lots of food spots walking distance from your room.

My son had a tournament near by and we needed a place to stay overnight that didn’t cost an arm and a leg. This place was perfect since it was about 10 mins from the tournament and less than 2 miles to the Irvine spectrum where we were able to enjoy our night with family and friends. Very easy to check in, rooms were comfortable and clean, breakfast was perfect for a quick meal, and easy access to the freeway. Will definitely stay here again!

I got stuck in a prison cell they call The Silo, the walls were discolored concrete and the toilet didn't flush properly.I met the kindest maid who opened the door and even called the elevator when she saw my arms doing a breakfast balancing act. They now charge $25/night/dog but eventually they reversed the charge for my dog who didn't stay over with me. They have also started charging a $75 damage deposit, fortunately that is refundable.Breakfast options were "meh" for diabetics, cold hard boiled eggs being the only safe option.

They turned an historic grain processing place into a hotel and failed. Plus commuter rail runs right next to it and rattles the rooms every hour. Walls are unfinished concrete with pictures on it. I kid you not. Unbelievable.

LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS. I stayed at La Quinta in 2019, and had a pretty good stay. It was right in the middle of a hectic move, and I appreciated the fact the hotel was there for us. So, when I had to stay at them again recently due to a home improvement issue, I didn't hesitate. However, things have very strangely gone down hill since 2019. A few points: 1. In my previous stay, I stayed at the building attached to the main hotel. This time, I stayed in the silo, and it was a world of difference. While I appreciated the historic aspect of the rooms, the rooms had a brutalist aesthetic that I suspect a lot of people will find depressing. 2. Because of how the silo is situated, the parking lot is a hotbed of weird activity. I got out of the car after picking up my key, and immediately found drug needles on the ground. There was also weird drug-related activity at night, which basically made me not want to leave my room. 3. The elevator smelled, and4. My room didn't smell fresh. I walked in, and the room clearly hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in some time - e.g. I found a giant wad of gum on the lights, and there was a weird, permanent ring around the bathtub. And things got weirder. 5. I quickly realized the toilet seat was old, and creaked LOUDLY every time it was moved. I also developed a weird rash from the bedding, which hasn't gone away even after a week. 6. The keycard mysteriously stopped working on the room the first morning there. I could get INTO the building using the cards, but couldn't access the room. When I brought this up to the front desk, they claimed I must have demagnitized the card through my phone. Okay, but how did I get into the building then? And when I pointed THAT out, they claimed the lock must be broken. But their handyman was able to get into our room easily using his master keycard, so what was going on with the keycard? (I later looked it up on Yelp - someone else experienced the keycard issue while staying here too.)I checked out early, since I just didn't want to stay here anymore. It's kind of a bummer to realize what this hotel has become!P.S. I booked through AAA, and AAA tried for a month to reach out to the hotel to get me a refund. The hotel management ignored multiple attempts at outreach. If you're ignoring AAA, you have major problems.

Great experience at this hotel. We stayed here for the weekend for a basketball tournament in OC. The rooms were huge and clean. They had a really good burger shop next door, with live music. The price was affordable and centrally located to the basketball gym and evening activities. Loved the ambiance and decor of the hotel.

One of the most disgusting, dirty hotels I have ever stayed in. The breakfast was good, but the tables were all dirty. The bathroom was gross with sh-t in the toilet and my kids' feet were black from walking on the carpet. The carpet and walls were filthy.

The day shift at the front desk lacks customer service all together. I left a phone charger in the room. Check out is 11am and when I came back to retrieve it at 11:55am they said the room had already been clean and someone else was already in the room. All within 55 minutes and no charger. Makes absolutely no sense yet their attitude is 'oh well'...terrible

Lupita and Elisabeth were absolutely amazing. My kid got lost in the hotel for 2 minutes. They found him and brought him to us right away. The rooms are clean. The service is amazing. Please be kind to these people, they work hard and have really good heart. The waffles are amazing, good breakfast service. They are also mitary friendly. Good gym, nice pool and hot tub. Very affordable and a great place to relax.

Horrible stay. Train tracks on back of the hotel don’t let you sleep and very dirty hotel along with very poor service. They converted the historic building in back into the hotel and it extremely uncomfortable and unhygienic. Wonder how they got approval from city and the hotel brand.
