My mom was in dire need of a mattress and found what she needed at Ortho. Jon explained the difference between the mattresses and even had some on sale. He made the process easy! The mattress will be delivered in a few days and they are taking the old one away free of charge! Thanks Jon!

We purchased a mattress 2 yrs ago and its sinking in the middle, called ortho, they send you to another company and ask you to pay 60 dollar for inspection then if their own inspection turns out in yuor favor then they will replace it if not ( which is most often the case) no! Its a scam

I would like to give a shout out to Janette who was at the Irvine store. She was very helpful and refreshing. She handled my special order with the warehouse to coordinate my delivery so well. Very pleasant and refreshing demeanor and made it all go right. I would ask for Janette if shopping this store.

I went to the Ortho Mattress store in Irvine on Tuesday 11/2/2021 to look for a new mattress. Janette was the only sales lady there. I was interested in trying a Tempur-Pedic mattress. I had spoken to the Tempur-Pedic manufacturer earlier that morning and they could not deliver for 6-8 weeks. Waiting that long was not an option so I found the nearest store which was this one. The first item I discussed with the sales lady, Janette, was their policy on what will happen if the mattress does not work well or has a chemical smell. She said they do full refunds or exchanges, whichever is preferred. I asked what they did with returned mattresses? She said they return them to the manufacturer or donate them. I wanted to make sure they don't just clean returned mattresses and resell them as new. I gave her plenty of information about my sleeping positions and the need for ease of movement so she as a mattress expert could recommend an appropriate mattress model for me. I needed a mattress that allowed ease of movement and proper support for side and back-sleeping. A medium-firm was preferred and a mattress that did not hold onto heat. In addition I told her that I have chemical sensitivity and need a mattress without any odor. She recommended the Tempur-Pedic pro breeze model in medium. I tried it out as one was available in the showroom. The first alarming thing I noticed was the visible dirt on the surface of the mattress. She did give me a disposable cover for the pillow. Although I laid on the mattress and it seemed to be comfortable I don't know how over-night comfort can be determined in 10-15 minutes of laying on a mattress in the store. However, since she said they had a full refund or exchange policy, I took a leap of faith and went ahead with the purchase. The other alarming thing I noticed was that she did not have a mask on the entire time that I was there. At one point the elastic band on my mask broke and I told her I was going to go to my car to get a new mask. She did not want me to leave. She said "Oh I haven't been wearing mine. I'll get you a new mask." On their website it says everyone has to wear a mask upon entry. She had no problem telling me that the two pillows I was buying were not refundable but she never said the same about the mattress and the base set (which are at a substantially higher price point) not being refundable. When a verbal agreement is made in person with a customer, it is as firm as a written agreement and the two need to be the same. As she was preparing the invoice and before the purchase, I asked her again about being able to return the mattress set for a full refund if there was a problem after delivery. She again verbally confirmed the full refund or exchange policy. Once delivery was made on Wednesday 11/04/2021, I opened the pillow packages and immediately noticed a strong chemical odor coming from the pillows as well as the mattress. At first I thought perhaps the chemical odor will go away after airing everything out for a few hours but the odor remained. I washed the mattress cover, the pillow covers and finally by the evening I had to make the bed. I was not able to use the pillows due to the chemical odor. I had no choice about using the mattress because my previous mattress was taken by the delivery guys to be disposed of. The next morning the odor of the mattress had permeated the sheets, my nightgown and my skin. I called the store the next morning on Thursday 11/4 and spoke to "John" about the extremely unpleasant chemical odor of the mattress and the pillows. He said "let them breathe for 7 days and it will go away. That's just the factory smell." So I removed the sheets, washed them again, aired out the mattress and the new pillows but the chemical odor remained as strong as the day before. The 2nd night (Th. evening 11/4/2021) I had to sleep with the chemical odor but also that night's sleep resulted in extreme lower back pain upon waking the next morning (Frid. 11/05/2021). We brought a mattress for are daughter two years ago in March 10, 2018 and last month in December my husband and daughter noticed that her mattress was coming apart at the bottom a huge tear. So I call the 800 number and it was a mess first they wanted us to pay $ 60 dollars for someone to come and look at it and then 100.00 to bring a new one to our home. So I think these mattress are not made good. Just having it two years why would it fall apart . And we paid alot of money for it. Never using this place again .

Great customer service from Cliff and Richard.Was in about four times total to try out beds and they spoke to me with attention every time. Most other stores ignored me in favor of couples, like in a car dealership.Got a great deal and am eagerly awaiting the bed delivery.
