I had an appointment (first time I had ever made one) and had barely sat down in a crowded waiting room when my name was called. When I first entered the room and saw almost every chair occupied, I inwardly groaned thinking I should have brought a book to read while waiting, but was shocked to hear my name called immediately. Guess I'll make appointments from now on!!! The phlebotomist (sorry I don't remember her name) was so professional and personable. She chose a vein that no one at the Red Cross Blood Donation Center had ever been successful using, slid the needle in and quickly filled the 3 vials. I was more than a little surprised and embarrassed that I had suggested that wouldn't be a good vein to use. She was great and I was back in my car before it had had a chance to cool down!! Quick and Painless! Thanks!!!!!!!

I had an appointment, and was called just a couple minutes after I checked in. The process was very quick and the doctor who helped me was very kind. I’ll definitely be going back here to get my blood drawn in the future.

Absolutely unacceptable experience—avoid this Quest location at all costs.
We came in for a routine prenatal test for my wife. They took our insurance (Blue Cross PPO), which should fully cover this kind of visit—as it has at every other provider we’ve been to. But then they demanded we pay $1200 out of pocket on the spot.
When I asked why, they refused to explain anything. No breakdown, no attempt to verify coverage, no conversation—just a cold “Pay now or leave.” That’s not just unprofessional, it’s predatory.
And here’s the kicker: we later walked into the Quest at 1190 Baker St Ste 104, Costa Mesa, CA 92626—no appointment, just a walk-in—and guess what? We paid $0. Zero. Nothing. Insurance covered it, exactly as expected.
This only proves how absolutely terrible the first location was. Either they’re incompetent, trying to scam patients, or both.
To top it off, others have reported similarly outrageous treatment—like waiting two hours with an appointment, only to be told they were “missed” because no one noticed them. This is not healthcare. This is chaos.
This location is disorganized, unprofessional, and completely lacking in basic respect for patients. We left shocked, angry, and without care—this is the last place I’d recommend for anything, let alone sensitive medical needs.

I’m so thankful for Ashley for giving me such an easy time for my bloodwork very nice person too. I’m so lucky to have her at Quest Diagnostics where always go.

I wish I could give negative stars. Had an appt then tried to drop off 24 hour. They would not take the sample. Said I needed an APPT!!! Which was weeks out.
Shameful customer service. Worst lab techs ever. This manager needs to be fired and thus company needs to be more customer service oriented. AVOID.

Nice clean facility, checked in 15 min prior to appt for annual blood test, prompt service and called at the scheduled time. In and out in less than 10 minutes.

Service was good, staff is great, knowledgeable, caring...Nurse was wonderful, gentle, thorough...However, issue calling 800 number to try to schedule an appointment, accepted my last name, birthday, but after several attempts, would not accept my first name...Place closes at 3pm...?????

They do not have pediatric or small size needle for kids or somebody with small vein.
