I would appreciate it if the person drawing blood would first accurately assess the size of my veins (which are very small) before drawling blood with a very big needle. I’ve never had a more painful blood draw. I know swelling is a common experience after the blood draw but it seemed that my arm was more swollen than in the past. The person drawing seemed stressed, distracted, and not fully paying attention. Quest, you could do better. Please train your staff better.
Update: these photos were taken 3 days after the blood draw. My vein was shattered. I’ve never bruised this bad before.

Absolutely terrible that you can not call and speak to an actual human about a question.
The website does not have all information needed.

At the Irvine location at 15825 Laguna canyon rd, suite 108. You have a Male lab technician there about 5,6” tall, White, in his 30s to early 40s, kind of chubby. He was probably the only male lab technician working that day. He approached me with animosity, very unprofessionally, disrespectfully and abusively. I went there to re-draw my blood because the first time they draw my blood, something went wrong and lab couldn’t use it, and lab called my doctor. my doctor called me back and told me she had a call from quest and that I needed to go back and that I didn’t need an appointment. Doctor told me Just go back and redo the blood test again. It was inconvenient for me, but I did fasting again and I went. It was a busy day. I knocked on the door and this gentleman came out with a face full of anger and animosity for no reason at all. I tried to explain my situation. and he didn’t wanna hear me and kept telling me go put your name down sign in and sit down. I needed to go back to work and I just asked him how long is this going to take? He kept saying go back sit down put your name Sign in. I tried to explain my situation again and I said this is a situation that needs clarification. I need to talk to a a supervisor. he became loud and threatening to me and he asked me to stay back and go back and sit down and kept saying the same thing. I am a senior citizen, and I feel that this was an abusive behavior. That person does not belong in that office or any other office. I finally found a lady. she said she was the lead. She was very nice. I explained my situation she took me back made a phone call, confirmed my situation and drew my blood. I thanked her and I left. but this behavior from that gentleman bothered me a lot to the point that I’m thinking about emailing the CEO of quest Mr. Davis. And ask him to take a closer look into this situation and make sure that this doesn’t happen to other people.

My name got removed from the list twice without any notification. There is no one there to help me. I made three trips here in the span of one day and my name kept getting removed. There is only one staff member here, and even after I told her what was happening she just told me to check in again or go somewhere else.

Not sure why this place has so many negative reviews. I’ve been doing tests here for years and every time the experience is great. Plenty of next-day or even same-day appointments, fast automated check-in, short wait time, friendly nurses. Results, which are promised to be available in 7-10 days, are sometimes even available overnight. This place saves me a lot of time. Overall a very efficient process.

I came at opening hoping to get done earlier than scheduled time, but did not expect them to see me right away. So they didn’t see me right away?, they saw me closer to my appointment time which was 7:40. Checking in was quick and plenty of seating available. I was greeted my Samantha and she took me back to get started. I like her calm demeanor and informative vibe, she was also transparent about possible payments in case insurance didn’t covered everything. Overall, it was a good experience and Samantha was able to get blood from my hand, which is a first. Now I am going to ask for this next time because I am told my veins are strong ?? but move around a lot. ??♀️

I had an appointment and was called in as soon as I checked in. Finding veins to draw blood from is not easy with me. The lady phlebotomist was very pleasant, listened to my concern, tried the spot I typically have the best prospects and used the butterfly to draw blood on the first attempt (In the past, I have had phlebotomists who ignore what I say and end up poking me in multiple locations with the regular syringe - on a visit a year back to the same location, I was poked 4 times!). I was out of there in a matter of minutes. I wish every lab visit was like this.

Quest Diagnostics especially at this location is my place to go whenever I need bloodwork done. The place is clean, there's no waiting when I have an appointment, the checking-in is easy and the technicians are professional and friendly.
