I got my windshield repaired here in September. When it was done I was told it had warranty for a year. I just had another rock hit my windshield and make a tiny crack again. I scheduled through my insurance and when I got there they said they would have to replace the whole windshield and I need to call my insurance and have them deal with it but they won’t be doing anything. That they won’t repair because it’s already been repaired and I need replacement. Mind you the crack is extremely tiny that they could barely see it. I had already waited a week for an appointment and asked to speak to the manager because I was confused on why they weren’t honoring the warranty and trying to make me pay more or out of pocket. The manager Danny comes out and starts poking at the hole and saying that my new crack is older and not brand new. I explained to him it’s brand new and I have footage. This man started arguing with me! He is saying it’s not new and I genuinely don’t even understand why he was arguing with me and why I was having to prove myself. The unprofessionalism is crazy! I had to take a deep breath and tell him I’m not going to argue with him. I will never go back to this location and I should have read the other reviews with the same story. I know about car repair places turning it around on customer and trying to place blame but this was insane. Don’t come here alone and I also called corporate and made a complaint. I can’t believe I wasted my time going out there for them to do nothing but waste my time

I had safelite replace my front windshield remotely. They came to me directly. Kyle was the rep that helped me. He did a fantastic job. He was very friendly and communicated consistently. I couldn’t have asked for a better guy to work on my van.

Took my car in for a new Windshield on 1/13/24 11:00 am. The front desk guys and the installer Ozzy did a great job. Found a little rust from my old leaking windshield that I didn’t know about and they sanded it down and treated it at no extra charge. Great install job on the new windshield also.

The lady in the reception said in the morning that I don’t have to pay anything, the insurance will cover the cost, when I come back in the afternoon she told me its you who needs to pay everything, this is a bad service.

DOES NOT HONOR WARANTY! I had my windshield crack from an instalation point and they claimed it happened while I was driving. Just beware their windshields are faulty and they will not replace them.

Took car to get windshield replaced. They ordered the wrong windshield. Completely wrong car. So we had to reschedule and go back. Went back and they told me my appt was now at the wrong time, it was not but receptionist insisted I was there about 7 hours early. Anyway, I insisted on staying so they squeezed me in. Thank you. While I waited in the lobby one other person came in where they ordered the wrong windshield so he had to come back as well. Another gentleman came in and they did a faulty install so he was back for a second time. I am sensing a trend here. After two hours of waiting in the lobby the tech came in and it is still the wrong windshield. How is this not measured properly after the first time of getting the wrong glass? The only reason they got two stars is they ordered me an uber to go home because now I could not use my car. Next day I get a call its ready so I was told to reach out when I am ready for my uber. After 4 calls and a text I finally got someone to order me a car. I get to the location and pickup luckily it is ready to go. Dash is completely filthy after the install. Would have thought they would at least wipe off the remnants of their installation, but also not surprised. Windshield is in and working thus far so that is good. Three trips and a lot of back and forth later I would definitely go to a different location next time.

LOOK OUT FOR JERRY AND DANNY. If they don’t know how to work on 100k+ cars they shouldn’t. Come to find out safelite has a reputation of being difficult and hiring techs that don’t know what they’re doing. I’d gladly pay more to a private shop that knows what they’re doing and can produce some sense of customer satisfaction and experience compared to this. The saying “you get what you pay for” really holds true with this safelite location in Irvine. We paid $950.20 on 9/7/23 for a windshield replacement. I had safelite Irvine come out to repair my 2020 Land Rover Defender (windshield replacement). My car has a factory snorkel air intake for off road performance. Safelite originally came out a few days prior to complete the job but told us the snorkel must be removed before they can begin work. So, we took it to a shop to have it removed per their request. Safelite came out to complete the job and finished around 6pm 9/7. The next day I woke up to find there were trim parts damaged and missing. The part is supposed to slide on and off, but it was torn off with a screen driver damaging the part and surrounding parts. I drove the car back to the other shop to get the snorkel put back on and called safelite to attempt a resolution. The main customer service number said they were unable to do anything. Then Jerry at the Irvine office said there was nothing he could do because another shop touched the car despite the removal of the snorkel being the only service the other shop performed AT SAFELITES REQUEST. I reached out to Jerry to resolve the matter. He was very rude and short. I had the other shop reach out on my behalf in hopes we can find a resolution and they left the shop on hold for 30 minutes and refused to answer the following calls period. They damaged my car, and are extremely unprofessional in their service.Desired settlement: Billing adjustmentMoney paid to business: 950.20. Jerry made it clear in conversation and actions he could care less about customers and their experience. Not to mention when we asked safelite to have Jerry call us back he never did and when I finally got a hold of him he had no idea what I was talking about. Great internal communication and customer expectations guys.

Good place to get windshield replaced. The calibration prices are ridiculous. As a automotive engineer, I cannot understand why they are ripping customers for $500 for this service. UPDATE - Owners response is not enough to justify ripping off customers for a required calibration.

Extremely Disappointing- Unprofessional & Discriminatory TreatmentI recently had an experience at Safelite Repairs that left me utterly disappointed and frustrated. I scheduled an appointment at the Irvine location for a windshield replacement on my Tesla Model S, and what should have been a straightforward process turned into a nightmare.Upon arrival, I was informed that I needed to handle the camera calibration myself, which I was fully prepared to do. However, the situation quickly escalated when the manager on duty ridiculed me and yelled at me in front of other customers and his staff. This level of unprofessional behavior was completely uncalled for and left me feeling humiliated. What's even more baffling is that I was told Safelite Repairs does not provide services for Tesla Model S due to camera calibration issues. This directly contradicted information on their own website and the fact that I witnessed other customers with Tesla vehicles receiving service for windshield replacements. The manager's claim was not only false but discriminatory, as it seems I was treated differently solely because I'm a female.Adding insult to injury, I was promised a call back the following Monday to discuss the next steps, yet it has been five business days since, and I have not received any communication from Safelite Repairs. This lack of follow-up and accountability is beyond disappointing. My experience at Safelite Repairs was an absolute nightmare, and I cannot in good conscience recommend their services to anyone. The blatant disregard for customer service, the unprofessional behavior of the manager, and the discriminatory treatment I received have left me deeply frustrated and disheartened. Safelite Repairs needs to seriously reevaluate their approach to customer interactions and ensure that all customers are treated with respect and fairness.I truly hope my feedback will prompt Safelite Repairs to address these issues and make the necessary changes to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. As it stands, my confidence in their ability to provide quality service has been shattered.Avoid Safelite Repairs if you value professionalism, respect, and fair treatment as a customer. There are plenty of other options available that prioritize customer satisfaction over discriminatory behavior.

I would love to give them 5 stars for all of the kind people that worked with me. Unfortunately, I had to go with 4 because it literally took 6 appointments to get the right windshield for my truck. Hopefully their system gets updated so that the wonderful employees don't have to put up with the snafus we had to.
