I unfortunately lost my job right after committing to the project. I had already completed the demolition, and they had provided a very reasonable quote for the remaining work. Given the unexpected circumstances, I called Niko and explained my situation. He was incredibly sympathetic and offered to set me up with all the materials I needed, encouraging me to handle the installation myself.
This was my first time doing any kind of gardening, and I found it quite intimidating at first. It was definitely hard work, and I couldn't have done it without a few helping hands! I also want to thank the rest of the staff, including Jose, for being so patient and answering all my questions.
On a final note: a neighbor suggested I go elsewhere because they thought GGN was expensive. However, in my experience, the price and quality were excellent. Even if they are on the pricier side, their knowledge and sincerity are worth it. There were no 'salesman tactics' here, just honest business. I highly recommend them to both locals and non-locals. “Found this place while visiting Monrovia in the SGV. It's a cozy sliver of space but this place is packed with plants! It's like walking in a dream. Towards the back of the nursery it turned into a mini labyrinth. All the plants look healthy and well taken care of. I absolutely loved all of the hanging baskets succulent combinations. “I shop at this Home Depot often. Because I have a bad knee, I often use the mobile shopping carts. On my last visit, all the carts were occupied. While returning to my car, I saw a young cart man in the parking lot and explained my situation. He said he would see if he could find a cart. Shortly afterwards, he came with a mobile cart he found somewhere. This yong man's name is Leo, and he is to be commended for his EXCELLENT CUSTOMER FOLLOW THROUGH. I offered him a tip, but he refused, saying he was only doing his job. He also remarked that if I needed help to load my purchases, the parking lot employees were available to help.
