My review is specific to the owner/management. The movers were friendly and did a good job. My review is to warn others to get the total cost in writing. The manager here price gouged 3x the amount he originally quoted. Very sad this company took advantage of a senior citizen that has limited resources and income.

This review is regarding the con of a business owner. Your response to M B is full of inaccuracies and lies. Firstly, the home is fitted with security cameras inside and outside the home including the interior garage. The footage itself shows you walking through each room and where you even gave the specified quote. So no, this was not done over the phone. All videos and images have been documented. Even your statement of the location of where the items were taken to is wrong. The home itself displayed no signs of hoarding behavior whatsoever. Again, camera footage doesn't lie. The truck that was brought to the house was NOT a 34ft truck as you inappropriately yelled at her over the phone on speaker you stated she filled a 26' truck. You yourself were not there working on the job. Some people meaning you are con man who takes advantage and despite your senior age, you commit elder abuse. Yes, elder abuse you can look up what that means through the state and federal guidelines. Don't waste either of our time with another inaccurate response. We have all the proof needed. Did your PPP loans from May '20 & March 21' help pay off your tesla?

The crew we had was great! Efficient and careful! They are all so polite and friendly. We have used them twice and had a great experience both times! Very easy to work with and schedule. They take their time to put everything where you want it when they unload. I highly recommend them!!

We moved from California to another State in middle of May 2022. Ed Mace and Town and Country Movers (Irwindale, CA) did not, and still has not, delivered on his promises or terms of contract. He was as nice as could be in getting to signing contract paid in full. We paid additional for insurance. He questioned why we would do that as he said, "I've only had one claim the whole time I've been in business!!", almost insisting we do not get the Movers Insurance. The one day his movers came, they were; considerate, professional, and mostly as should be anticipated: An exception was one complained about moving items into our home. We provided them; water and snacks, needed breaks, access to our bathrooms, and generous tips. Ed Mace will not, and has not communicated anything with us other than "He's working on it". He shipped our valuable personal properties using a 3rd party. The contract stated (in his own handwriting), "Exclusive Truck (T & C), "Own care and control" (T & C), "Direct Delivery" (T & C). Ed Mace is completely unprofessional, as the business owner. He uses profanity, is dismissive, and does not respond to our repeated requests for communications to resolve these continuing challenges. He basically denies our claims, and refuses to talk and communicate with us. Twice, Ed had 3rd party deliver pallets of our personal properties. Those pallets were old and rotted would, and could not sustain the weight. One delivery the pallets shifted and fell. This caused significant damages to our personal properties. Additionally, between Town & Country Movers, inc. and 3rd party carrier, items were lost and damaged. The insured amount does not fully cover the costs of those damaged and lost items. Additionally, 3rd party dropped off curbside. He did not provide his own movers, or anyone else, to move our properties/items into our garage and home. We had to do that ourselves. This was pure negligence, and spitefulness, on his part. He has not communicated the insurance claim #, has not provided how he intends to pay for the additional damages and losses over insured full value amount, and has not offered to rebate/reimburse us for those challenges of having to move our own personal properties, on those two occasions of 3rd party drop-offs, into our garage and home. He is in Breach of Contract, and is Personally Liable for his own denial of moving services. We have done our best to communicate with him, including our prior Realtor attempting to communicate and assist to resolve with him: Our Realtor said he was completely unprofessional even with him, and used many explitives during those short conversations. Our Realtor said Ed is attempting to make this just go away using extending time, and refusals to communicate with us. He refuses to make things right for these clients. It is truly unfortunate that this happened, but Ed Mace brought this on himself. We have sent him Breach of Contract and Claim Notice letters, Certified; texted and emailed the same. He is likely in violation of Transportation Consumer Protection law. As of September 30, very unfortunately we find ourselves very close to legal recourse. We would not recommend Ed Mace, and Town and Country Movers, Inc. to anyone. He is unprofessional, did not fulfill contract terms and conditions, and cannot be counted on for these (among others) many reasons. These claims, many images and videos have been fully documented. Ed Mace needs to face the gravity of the unfortunate circumstances he personally caused.

This is a very mixed review. The top line, if you don't need to read further is if you need to move a bunch of stuff you don't care about Ed Mace's crew is very hard working and pleasant to deal with. But if you have anything you value, like high end furniture look elsewhere. When Ed came over to give me an estimate I pointed out several high end pieces of furniture that it was very important his guys take care of including a glass coffee table. Ed promised to build a crate for the table as we were going to be storing it - THIS never happened - he brought over blankets and cardboard to protect an over 10K table. While his guys were disassembling it I heard several crashes of metal on the stone floor and there was white paint there afterward. I'm actually afraid to open up the packing and look at it. The reason I'm concerned is that we had two high end beds from Ligne Roset - one of which is no longer in production. Ed's guys broke the zipper trying to put the suede cover back on the bed frame - which we discovered when making the bed the next day. It's going to cost us $400.00 to put a new zipper on it. When I mentioned it to Ed he had nothing but excuses and denials. When I told him how much it would be to fix it he never responded. We had planned to use Town and Country for a cross country move next year, but after this experience on a less than five mile move - I'm afraid we are going to have to look elsewhere. So basically because he won't man up to something his crew undeniably did - damaged an expensive bed frame cover - he is losing a potentially 30-40K cross country moving job. Not really a smart business choice is it? It's a pity because he seemed like a nice guy when he came over for the estimate and his crew, like I said, were not white glove guys for fine furniture, but were pleasant and hard working. I was really hoping to use them again until I discovered the damage. I understand moving is tough and accidents happen but I'd rather use a company in the future that is responsible enough to own up and attempt to fix/cover damages.

First of all, I think the crew was strong, hardworking, friendly, humorous, and trustworthy. I'm grateful for their hard work. I do want to give folks here some heads up if you choose this company. 1. I would suggest hiring a professional piano mover to handle your piano. I called Ed (the owner) before asking whether we need to hire a professional piano mover for moving the piano, and he said they have moved thousands of pianos and it would save us money if we just let them move my piano. While I appreciate Ed stopping by and guide the crew on moving the piano, it's clear that not everyone is experienced with piano moving, some time was spent onsite for training the crew, and I felt really nervous watching them move this...In the end, we just noticed that we had a scratch on the piano; I feel it's not serious one, but the piano is the most important piece of everything we have. 2. I got a quote from Ed for 4 people x 9 hours (which is a lot for a condo I guess) and Ed said that the actual price could be lower. On the moving day, 5 people showed up, and it turned out that our actual price was higher, which really came as a big surprise to me (we had to control our budget for all the expenses!) I think part of this is because it took the crew so much time (maybe more than 1.5 hours for 5 people in total) and energy in the piano. A friend told me that she used a professional piano mover for the same grand piano and it only took 2 people 10 mins or so to move it out, so I thought Ed's company would be able to do that pretty fast. I think maybe this crew was not equipped with the best tool or knowledge for moving a piano. So in the end, I don't think having them move my piano saves my money, if not cost more...I don't think 5 people are needed for other items and sometimes I feel overwhelmed directing 5 people. 3. I guess my conclusion is that Ed tends to over promise things...This also happened when we secured a moving day and he confirmed. Then after a few days we were told that the date was not available. It was kind of disturbing as we needed to change our plan. I understand that he must be very busy, but I just hope that once a date is confirmed, we can have it confirmed. Overall, it was not a bad experience and I really appreciate their hard work and Ed's stop-by. I guess I was disappointed because I actually got a quote from another company for less than half of Ed's quote and their hourly rate was much lower. However, I chose this company because I had a friend who highly recommended this company and I saw the great Yelp reviews here. I seriously thought that the final price would be lower than the quote...I had really high hopes for this company and I was about to recommend this company to my other friends who are moving...However, I would only give 2-3 stars for my experience. I hope others can be aware of the potential higher cost than the quote.

I can't tell you how thankful I am to Town & Country. Ed took the stress out of the moving with his years of experience and organizational skills. The crew was outstanding. They moved our two households from the Inland Empire to Oregon. We greatly appreciate the service!

My parents used Ed Mace to move across country. He forgot to tell us that everything wouldn't fit on the truck after they got to their new location. They lost some really important items, and it is really awful he did not want to help. After my parents were bartering with him he agreed to send the items COD... Collect on Delivery!!!!!! He was trying to make them pay for his mistake... We are talking about religious items, he was considered a family friend. Awful awful awful. Now my parents are on the other side of the country and I guess they are just out of luck. I would not recommend, I do not know what these people are talking about.

I just worked with Ed and his team at Town & Country Moving and they did an amazing job. We moved from Azusa to Arcadia. He had his team of guys show up in the morning and they were right on time. He even sent an extra guy to help make the move faster. His entire team was polite and respectful and introduced themselves by first name and shook our hands. Any requests to move a piece of furniture to a new location was done right away and with a positive attitude. They cleaned up after themselves, wrapped all the large items to ensure they were protected, and were extremely careful moving large couches/dressors/beds down the stairs. Overall, my wife and I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. We will be using Town and Country going forward and referring them to all our friends.

Ed Mace is amazing! He moved me, and went beyond the call of duty! He was always there with a box and encouragement! I barely raised a finger, and it was effortless. I called upon the company to help seniors move into our senior community, and there is where he really shines!! He helped families upsize, right size and downsize. They are so professional and caring!! I highly recommend.

This company moved me to DTLA in 2015. They were very professional, friendly & quick. I will be making another appointment with them for an April moving date to Pasadena. No need for me to "shop around"

Thank you Town & Country Moving & Storage for making sure we had a smooth transition into our new house! Thank you for sending boxes prior in addition to a friendly packer to help us get everything fragile into boxes the day before the move. Everything went so smoothly and Ed stopped by multiple times to check in. The move was done in 3 hours as promised and pricing was fair. . I met Ed from Town & Country Moving & Storage because our kids go to school together. It was such a relief to have that connection rather than calling up a random moving company. His team was quick and efficient and that is why I feel confident recommending this company.

These movers made my move smooth and satisfying. I thought I would not get a move done in one day. However, we were able to sit down in my new home at the dining room table with a cooked dinner. Ed gave me an estimate that I considered fair. He and his workers showed up at 8 0'clock. By 4 in the afternoon, all was done. They did it in less that the estimated hours, and I saved a lot of money. They were courteous, professional, considerate, conscientious, careful, diligent, respectful,.......... They dismantled pieces that needed to be taken down, wrapped pieces of furniture and moved my piano. I would strongly suggest using them, and I would definitely call them again. AAA++
