Talked to half dozen other boat yards about possibility of a DIY facility to find out most are closed. Plan B - find a boat yard to do a bottom job and several other projects on my 50 year old Coronado 27. While most kept saying that "yes they could do the work", none would or could come up with a date. Found Delta Boat Works by accident and stopped by to check them out. Not only were they very helpful, they were able to immediately give me a haul out date, only three weeks away. Just got the boat back today and was very happy with the results, everything was done as expected and at a reasonable rate. Rick and Jessica were very helpful, and followed up with progress reports and photos as the project progressed. Would I recommend them??? Definitly yes.

I used Detla Boat Works for the second time to have the bottom of the boat repainted and the zincs replaced. They did a great job, kept me posted on the progress of the project by sending pictures and delivered the boat back on time. The boat was spotless when I picked it up. Some boat yards tend to have a snotty attitude toward customers, these guys do not. I spoke with several people there in the course of the project and each of them was friendly and helpful.

Best place hands down to get bottom work or fiberglass work done. I called. Schedule a day to bring my 32 bayliner explorer in for bottom work. I had know clue what I needed done all I know is I hit a log and started to shake. I arrived they spent time talking to me. Walked me through what was going to happen. When I contacted my Insurance they stayed on top of everything for me. In just one week I received my boat back. They sent out my props. Re did my hydraulics trim tabs. And re did the entire. Bottom of my boat. Honestly best customer service. They will have my life long business. With boats it's always stress full but my yacht is my baby and I will trust them again and again. Price is fair to. When I took delivery of my boat it was washed and ready to go. I will post picture of there great work.

I would give this place a negative five stars if I could. They wasted my time, money and took no responsibility for their unprofessional conduct. I see there are a lot of people who have reported good experiences with this company, but that was not my experience. On August 20th, I emailed Kelvin at Delta Boat Works: "I am trying to schedule a date to bring my 42 Carver up for some repairs. Can you let me know if you have availability the first week of October, the last week of November or during December." Kelvin the manager responded: "That should be no problem, let me know a date and I will lock it into my schedule. Kelvin" I called him and spoke with Kelvin and explained I wanted an estimate on repairs and sent him an email with the list. I explained I was going away for a week and to contact me about the estimate so I could approve the repairs, and shared when I got back I need the boat as I am a live aboard. I called back in November to confirm bringing my boat up in November. No response. I had to call several times and was told it was "no problem". I navigated my boat from Pittsburg and took the day off of work to have enough time to review work I wanted done. I called ahead and they said they would meet me at the dock. It was a two hour navigation and I made good time. I arrived at 11:30A.M. and spent an hour speaking with Rick and going through the boat with him. Two things I specifically asked Rick to do was to connect the boat to shore power, since I had food in the fridge and make sure the boat was secure to keep vermin off the boat. He said "no problems and that he'd never seen any rats or racoons there before." I left for my trip and never heard back from anyone at Delta Boat Works. I attempted to call them and no response. I had a friend call them and he said they told them they would email me. Kelvin's response was that they couldn't get any estimates done because it was the holidays, but Rick would have one to me by the end of the day of Monday or Tuesday. Rick never did send me an estimate. I returned on the following Friday. When I got to my boat, it was a mess and in poor condition due to the storms that had been going on. I found the boat's aft cabin door had been left open. There was rat scat all over the aft deck. The boat was plugged in, but Rick never took the time to switch the boat over to shore power, so the food in the fridge had all gone bad. I emailed Kelvin and requested that Delta Boat Works compensate for the lost food and clean up the rat p**** I asked again for the estimate. I received no response from Kelvin, but a call back from Rick. He claimed that the crew told him that I had said the electricity was on in the boat when I left. It was a lie, because he was the last one I saw when I left. So, he took no responsibility. He also took no responsibility for the open door or the rats. I trapped and killed three of them on the boat before I got it out of there. I tried to salvage the appointment, but Rick brought up that the owner didn't want to work on a boat with someone who was a live aboard, at which point I said, "Forget it". I had explained the circumstances before I brought the boat up and was experiencing nothing but lame excuses and obviously no interest to work on my boat. So, I lost time and about $500 in fuel, food and traps. I would not recommend this place to anyone with a boat who values their investment. You may have a good experience, but you may not and who needs to waste time on a company that can't follow through? The good news is I am so glad they didn't start any work on my boat.

My first experience began with Kelvin and a little bit with Mike in May of 2017 when I purchased a 42' Sea Ray in Oakland and brought it to Delta Boat Works (DBW) in June to be transported to Lake Tahoe. I was then bringing my old 52" Bluewater from Tahoe to DBW for some repairs. I met with Kelvin once about exchanging these vessels. He put together the proposal and then proceeded to pull out the Sea Ray, paint the bottom, flush all engines, air conditioners and any other water carrying components readying for the Tahoe inspection stations, prepared the Sea Ray for transport and received the Bluewater on the return trip -- all of this without any incident or my having to be present. Further, Kelvin prepared multiple proposals for work to be done on my Bluewater. I have finally selected the work that will be done. Kelvin and the crew at DBW have been fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone wishing to have prompt and expert work done on their vessel. Dean M Novato, CA I met with Kelvin and told

Thanks Kelvin for a job well done on the Midnight Rambler. From pickup to delivery all went smooth. Also thank you Mike for finding the hard to get parts that I needed, great job. Job well done by all.

Awful service. Refused to provide written quote on list provided prior to start of service. Called weekly for 2 months, without return calls most of the time. Received verbal quotes on a couple items but charged more than originally quoted. Over 2 months before we took boat back with minimal service performed.
