Not a fan. Keyless entity and no one on-site to help if needed. Room was clean except for coffee bar. So much dust on a dirty coffee press and I don't know how old the coffee was - I couldn't drink it. Not to mention the bed was like sleeping on a granite slab.
Food and drinks: Manny's Barzzeria had fantastic food and staff. The garlic cheesy bread and meatballs were to die for!

On line shows they open at 9 am. We showed up at 9:45. The girl that "greeted" us said they were not open yet. We asked what time they open and she had to search in her phone to find out. ?. Zero personality and NO interest in having customers at all. Will never go back there again.

If you are looking to just take a break this is a nice quiet town. Easy to get to. Big room. Nothing fancy but nice and clean. You get a text when you can check in with your keyless code to access hotel and room. Pool and spa could have been cleaner and maybe some chairs around it if you did want to use it. Nice balcony in main street but no real outdoor chairs. Some random chairs. No pictures of room but pics from balcony
Rooms: We had room 28. Large room. Soft sheets. Big pillows! Roku tv gave lots of options to watch shows.
Safety: Nice keyless entry to building and rooms.
Walkability: You can walk to restaurants, coffee shop and great beer bar across the street.
Food and drinks: There is a bar downstairs with a restaurant. Nothing high end but friendly staff. Inexpensive drinks.

Nice old timey place to have a drink. Bartender was really nice and made a great drink. The price was right on the money ? I will be stopping by here every time I'm paying through.

Service was good workers were awesome. Rice Bowl was amazing! Loved it. I usually add Salt n Pepper to all my food and in this case I didn't have to. Rich in flavor and perfect portion of everything. I would definitely return again and definitely suggest to add this place to your bucket list.

First time being there and it was pretty good. They had a juke box along with a game of Darts hanging on the wall. Nice urban setting.

I stayed at the lodge for a wedding so I didn't have time to check out the restaurant or bar.[Also, the phone number listed here and on the website is for the Restaurant/Bar. If you need to contact the Lodge, you can do it on Airbnb.]The room was very spacious and clean. I really enjoyed staying here. The host was very sweet and accommodating. I asked if it was okay to check in around 12 pm and she made it possible. In the future, I will definitely pick this place again.Unrelated to the Lodge:I do wish that I had more time to explore the stores nearby. I have read that there's a lot of history here and also there's some bars in the area :)

We made reservations for this place about a month ago for a wedding of one of my best friends. Upon arrival, we did not find anywhere to check in. We eventually made contact with the receptionist at the bar downstairs who gave us the number for the manager. The first two calls went unanswered. Eventually after 20 minutes waiting, we made contact with the manager who apparently sent a confirmation text to a wrong number so we never received instructions on how to enter the property and get to our room. She was also very rude to my fiancé after she pronounced her name incorrectly. After waiting another 20 minutes for the code to get in the room we decided to go to another hotel that we could actually get access to. Would not recommend staying here if you have an event to go to seeing as this circus almost resulted in us being late to the wedding. There are much better hotels in Elk Grove for about the same price. Hopefully, the manager will do the right thing and refund us the money that we are owed for a room we did not use.Follow up with the manager, they will not be dropping the charge. They failed to confirm that we received instruction to get in and did not send us the entry code in a timely manner. Do not recommend this place to your friends.

My son made reservations but never received the confirmation code for the room. Upon arrival he called the manager who was very rude. She said she would send the code and that took 30 min. Since already an hour had gone by and they were under time constraints they left to find another option. The had a wedding to attend and couldn't wait any longer. Now they are trying to charge him for a room he never used.
