I am an employee at this business and unfortunately I forgot my key this morning and had to leave and return after the posted opening time. I apologize deeply for any inconvenience it caused to our customers and we will work hard to ensure it does not happen again.

Showed up on Friday at 9:05 a.m. and the door was locked and no lights on inside. One person was running the forklift around in the hay area. Didn't see anyone else. Posted hours say open at 8:30, not true. Won't be returning.

This place gets worse every time I visit, and after today I mean it when I say I won’t be back. I walked in and was almost knocked over by the smell of cat pee and strong chemicals. It was absolutely nauseating. I can’t imagine the condition that the cats who are up for adoption are kept in for it to smell that bad. After less than a minute in the store, I had to leave. I hope A-PAL will reconsider them as a facilitator of adoptions. No person or animal should be breathing that in. It doesn’t help that the employees are unfriendly and their hay quality is almost always poor. I would never want to see a small business in our community shut down, but I wish the owners would make an effort and try to do right by their customers and the animals in their care.

The music choice for this store was so inappropriate I couldn't even shop. It was stressing me out. Hard rock isn't ideal for a farm supply store.

I would strongly advise against visiting or supporting this feed barn. The conditions are appalling, and it’s clear the management has no concern for the well-being of staff, animals, or customers. Employees are treated terribly — overworked, underappreciated, and it shows in their demeanor and the environment.
The facility itself is filthy. There are literally rats in the feed storage area, and rat feces are visible throughout. This is not only a major health hazard but also completely unacceptable for any business, let alone one dealing with animals and their food.
Even worse, they keep very sick pets up for adoption. Many of these animals appear visibly ill and in distress, and yet nothing is done to provide proper care. It’s heartbreaking and unethical.
To top it off, the customer service is just as poor as the rest of the experience. The cashier was incredibly rude and dismissive, clearly frustrated — perhaps a reflection of the poor working conditions.
Avoid this place at all costs. It’s not safe, not humane, and not worth supporting.

Holy cat piss. I have visited this store a few times over the years and evey other time has been fine, nice, helpful staff, busy, quality products, decent prices. I can stand many animal smells but long over due cat urine is hard. I still gave it chance, walked around and noticed prices are very high. Shame to see locally owned family business running themselves out of business.

I bought chicks here recently. I bought 10 and my friend bought 10. Between the two of us we lost 8 of them. I went back and asked for store credit because they are $6 each. The lady said I don’t know if we do that I have to ask. I never heard from her again. I don’t usually buy here and probably ly won’t ever again.
