Worst experience ever. They had one job, to get our taxes filed on time, and instead we fell through the cracks. My husband and I have always used HR Block in other cities before we moved here. This year we brought our documents in and dropped them off, went over stuff with the lady and left. It was our first time not staying through the whole process, because we have an infant this year, and it was too hard to keep her in the office the whole time. We waited and waited for our return to come, and after nearly a month, I called, worried because it had never taken so long. I was told our tax return was never filed! That our preparer was waiting on our signatures to finalize. We worked hard to make sure everything was in before the deadline in April. I have no phone call, email, or online message asking us to come in or providing us a link to e-sign before tax season closed. They simply didn’t file our return!
This failure created hardship for us since we had those funds allocated for a very important purpose.
We asked for a discount on our filing fees due to the failure of HR Block to communicate with us and file our taxes on time, but no one responded. When our return finally deposited, the entire HR Block fee had been deducted.
Everyone I spoke to was very nice at this office, but they failed at the bare basics of service. We will drive to another city rather than have our taxes done at Jackson HR Block again.
