“Just about a year ago I bought a totally restored 1951 Wedgewood stove with double ovens. I'd been wanting one of these for many years and finally decided to buy it.

I corresponded with Christian Maupin on Dream Stoves via telephone and email, since I live quite far from his shop. Christian was a pleasure to work with. He answered all my questions.

I was VERY apprehensive about buying a stove from 900 miles away and couldn't arrange to come down and look at it before buying. Fortunately, I knew someone in the area who could go look at it and answer my questions over the telephone while I was there. Christian graciously made arrangements to meet with my friend on his day off, show him the working stove, and answer my final questions.

When he shipped the stove to me it was packaged up very safely and securely. It arrived in perfect condition and performed beautifully! My stove arrived too late for Thanksgiving 2024, but last week I made my first Thanksgiving dinner in it. I cooked for 23 people, making two 19 pound turkeys and all the trimmings. My ovens performed FLAWLESSLY.

Finally, there's something I want to emphasize very clearly: A few weeks before Thanksgiving 2025 one of the ovens on my new stove wouldn't light. I was in a total panic. I was really looking forward to making my first Thanksgiving dinner in my new stove and now one of the much-needed ovens wouldn't work. I was beside myself.

I called Christian and over the phone he IMMEDIATELY and correctly diagnosed what the problem was. He sent me the needed replacement part, told me to make arrangements with a local appliance repair place to install the new part, and told me he'd reimburse me for the costs. True to his word, he did exactly that.
