$60+ for dry camping is, the worst deal I’ve ever seen. And I’ve been coast to coast 3 times.

Resort is going through big changes. The quality is going down. Internet is not working for the last 4 days.

Saddest sight ever. The place is deserted. Resort??? don't you think that's a stretch? - dirty pool and murky spa, no amenities, archaic "gym", gate wide open near border, electricity outages, kitchen guy is lecherous, unethical and discriminatory LGBTQRST manager berates residents, loud techno music at all hours with no notice, management turns a deaf ear to concerns and complaints, unprofessional and seemingly unethical mindset and behaviors by management. Open promotion of mushrooms psychoactives and ketamine with no safety measuresin a very off grid location. Social media and promotion is false and deliberately misleading - appears to be intentional deception. check all internet reviews and see that management is putting up their own five star reviews for this property. What a SHAME!!!

A Desert Escape ?️From the moment I arrived at De Anza, the desert's magic was palpable. Nestled in a serene, sun-drenched landscape, this resort offers an unrivaled blend of energy and experience !Accommodations: The rooms at De Anza are a testament to thoughtful design, blending modern comfort and vintage 70s retro themed trailers (just to name a few). Each room offers opportunity to experience the sprawling desert and star-lit skies, ensuring a stay that's as enchanting as it is comfortable.Amenities: De Anza boasts a range of amenities that cater to all tastes. The pool, is a perfect retreat from the desert heat. Bar/club house has Wi-Fi and insulation you need to be comfortable in the desert !Activities: Alpacas, Hikes, and all types of engaging activities that brings light to the space !Service: What truly sets De Anza apart is its impeccable service. This place is paradise and only 45 min from San Diego. You can almost feel the energy when you’re there and the landscapes are gorgeous. Can’t wait to be back with my friends to see another eventHit the hiking and hot springs too!

So sad. No longer a clothing optional resort. This was a place me and my family would go to to enjoy naturism. No more "sun on your buns" but a stark and growing reminder of how excessively modest people have become.

I have come here several times and never been disappointed. The staff at the resort are friendly and helpful. Go during one of their events and you’ll have an absolute blast either at their stage/venue or by the pool and bar. Go for a quiet weekend and you’ll find amazing hiking trails that are as amazing as Joshua Tree.

We've been out several times over the last few years, and the resort keeps getting better! Our first couple visits we stayed in the motel, which was nice and clean but pretty basic. Since then, I know they've redone all the rooms to be much cooler (they have different themes) but we haven't stayed in them yet. Since we have a toddler, the tiny homes have been a better location so we can have access to a fridge and kitchen. I would suggest choosing a tiny house close to the pool/restaurant area if you plan on spending time there so it's a quick walk over.We didn't mind the nudists at the resort, but appreciate that with the rule changes we can now use the pool (couldn't before unless you were also nude.) Unless you plan on leaving the resort to go into town, I'd recommend packing plenty of food/snacks or planning to eat at the restaurant as there isn't really anything else close by. We love it there, and love how we can be "off the grid" with just a short drive from SD. We'll definitely be back!

We drove out mid week to check this place out after reading an article in the reader. It is a clean sprawling desert resort with both sparking clear indoor and outdoor pools and spa. The indoor pool is set up for volleyball. We met the new owners and several full time residents. It is no longer clothing optional and signs are posted that cameras are allowed. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. There is a store in the office and the Everything restaurant/bar is open on weekends as is live music on the outdoor stage. This would definitely make a great private event venue or epic weekend getaway! We will definitely be back!!!

I've been here several times now and have had a great experience every time. Staff is friendly, helpful, and approachable. We stayed both in the mobile homes and the motel. Both were clean, while the mobile home is a much more private setting. The hiking around DeAnza Resort is as good as locations in Joshua Tree, but way more accessible. Highly recommend!

No owners have ruined the place! No longer clothing optional. They bought the place and then said to hell with the residents that bought property there because it was clothing optional. Save your money and go free camp in Borrego. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE!!!!

I can no longer recommend this as a campground. It used to be clothing optional and had gathered a notable following after many years. It survived COVID. Alas,Clothing is now mandatory in all public places and prices are in my judgement way to high. ( unless you think staying in a trailer at the end of a long bumpy dirt road 50 miles away from "civilization " is worth $175 per night or you can bring your own and that is $71 a night. )All of the residents here (ok, 95%) ,hope the owners regain their senses and return this beautiful place to clothing optional.

Note that all the positive reviews are for the resort from when it was clothing optional. Don't go there if that's what you are basing your lodging on. So sad to lose what was once a rare gem. I expect they will reply to let me know there are other places that offer this option but this place used to be so special. My husband and I were excited to return after having been there for a couple of music festivals but upon reading the new policy, we will not be. Seems weird to throw away a built in clientele. Good luck starting from scratch.

Used to be an awesome place to relax and unwind clothesfree. The new owners have changed their policy, it is no longer clothing optional. It's just another desert RV trailer park, now. I'd suggest camping in Joshua Tree or Anza Borrego.
