I stumbled upon Shari Elf’s shop and studio in pursuit of her crochet museum and am so glad I did. I had the pleasure of meeting Shari and she was kind enough to show me some of her current work. She has reproductions of some of her art on fabric and magnets for purchase at a very reasonable cost ($2-10). She also has art applied to upcycled clothing. Only reason for removing one star is the clothing is arranged by art piece rather than size or type so it was difficult to shop. Bring cash or she accepts Venmo or cashpay(?).

One place we haven't visited in a long time in Joshua Tree, California, is the Art Queen. In the Art Queen is known for the World Famous Crochet Museum. Which is really a fun thing to look inside. There is some great artwork, some beautiful and some a bit quirky but everyone has different taste in art. It's a great place to look around. Yes, I will admit we both love artwork, and at the Art Queen, you will never know what you find. We always have a great experience here.

My very favorite store in Joshua tree! Handmade and reasonably priced, and her sense of humor tickles me. My only caveat is that they don't take credit cards so bring cash and have a ball.

Personally this place is totally overrated.We do not recommend it, unless you have nothing to do or you are in love with with this stype of dools/artwork skip this.

I had a hard time finding this place. The entrance I went to is in the back in an alley, not facing the the highway.Art Queen is an awesome place. Cool sculptures and artwork. Definitely worth the stop. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the art is very affordable.Located close to gift shops and places to eat...this is a great intergalactic pit stop when exploring the Alpha Quadrant
