We stayed this past weekend at the castle house estate. It was affordable and close to the nationalpark. they had room service which was a nice perk, but we had brought our own food so did not utilize. the room had a AC/heat unit which was great for below freezing temps we had this weekend. it had super fast wifi and great views of the stars. ***I am writing this review mostly in hopes they see this and I can give some ideas/feedback so it's more functional and less instagrammable. ***We stayed in the shipping container (without the pool) really cute from the outside and very aesthetic on the inside. My comments: 1. the room is tight width wise, which is why there is a full mattress instead of a queen. However, knowing that, why do you choose a bed frame with a 3.5" perimeter all the way around? we could barelywalk on the sides by side stepping. Please maybe substitute for something with less width.2. no mirror, maybe even having a small counter one in the drawers would be nice 3. WHY IS THERE A GIANT UNMOVABLE ROCK AT THE FOOT OF THE BED???? We can barely get around the side, but now the foot too? Yes we did stub our toes. please keep the rocks outside this isn't aesthetic this is inconvenient on all levels.4. the bed was way too soft, which if you have back things like me. it makes it hard to get more than 2 hrs of sleep 5. too many throw pillows, not enough space to put the pillows.4/5 stars because of the sleeping arrangement issues.

The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Before arrival, we were given a detailed email that explained exactly how to enter the premises. And where to go for parking. Once we were in the parking lot, we were greeted by a staff member that was polite and guided us to our tent. The tent was clean and beutifuly decorated. They had already turned the heater on so the tent would be comfortable upon arrival. The only issue we had was that the propane for the heater stopped working around midnight, however the blankets provided kept us warm and the email that was sent to us prior to arrival was so informative and let us know how to prepare and what to expect. We had brought an extra Coldwater sleeping bag so it wasn't an issue. The bathrooms were clean but there is only one so I could see how that might be inconvenient during busy season. All in all the property is beautiful, well kept. Outstanding customer service, I feel like anyone who complained about service were probably difficult and asking for too much. Also the prices during winter are a steal for what's offered, great winter trip if you plan for cold weather and do your homework prior to going. Would definitely return!

Our stay here was awesome! Room service was super convenient & quick to reply! The property is awesome and laid out well. We loved staying a Guard Tower, and having perfect views of the gorgeous sunrises & sunsets. We also loved being less than 10 minutes from the main strip of downtown with plenty of places to eat, shop, and walk around. Our stay at The Castle House - Estate helped make our Joshua Tree experience so great. We will definitely be back & will definitely be recommending this place to friends & family! Thank you!

10/10 would recommended! This experience was unlike any other and if you love unusual but worth it stays - this is for you! We stayed one night in the Guard House and one night in the Yurt. We were told it was unfortunately one of the coldest weekends in Joshua Tree most recently! We were so cozy, and comfortable - the restrooms are accommodating and such a short distance from each stay. Such beautiful surroundings and close to local restaurants, shopping and the National Park! We will absolutely visit again!

This place is really cool. Perfect place to hangout with your friends. The house is well designed and equipped. Fire pit and starts make that place unique and amazing. Service is great and always on your call. My advise!? Choose a warm day because even with fire can be called and it's all about the stars. However, we will go there again!

What an oasis in the desert, highly recommend. Kids enjoyed the yurt we rented, very comfortable beds for everyone, easy to walk around at night. Bathrooms are at the front and very clean. Loved to added options to rent the sauna, firewood for a bonfire, or rent a movie in their separate event space. So much fun and relaxation for everyone.

Wow!! I loved our time at Castle House. The Bungalow couldn’t have been more comfortable—clean, tasteful decor, comfy bed, great shower and kitchen. The views from our walks in the desert took my breath away! Such a restful place to appreciate the natural beauty and vibe of Joshua Tree. Tons of beauty and amenities around the property. The hosts were helpful and super friendly.

Could not have asked for a better stay. Incredibly accommodating and they thought of everything with their room service. We’ll be coming back for sure.

I booked a stay here at the guard tower with my 3 year old and we had such a wonderful stay! The place was very very clean and the way everything was designed and layout of the land was superb. Room service is available till midnight we ordered firewood for a campfire and it was so much fun! Star gazing here is absolutely beautiful. Showering outside under the stars & sun was a great experience. Theres a bathroom trailer and it was SPOTLESS! We also loved the carry lamps around the pool to walk with at night ?. We will recommend to everyone.Rooms: Rooms were very clean and aesthetically pleasing.Nearby activities: Joshua tree national park is nearby! Lots of local restaurants and shopping nearby as wellSafety: The place is very safe and outsiders can’t get in without a code to gate.

We normally stay in hotels but our stay here has ruined hotels for us. Why would we stay in a hotel when we could stay in this gorgeous 3 bedroom/ 2 bathroom property, filled with amenities. I am paralyzed in a wheelchair and I have stayed away from homes when I travel because most have steps. This house was perfect for me wheelchair. I loved making my son breakfast and looking out over the gorgeous views. The staff here were sl helpful as we arrived in the middle of the night. We paid extra for a late check out because it was so hard to leave. We will definitely be back! I regret not booking the space sooner. Way better than any hotel. Now this is how you travel!!I loved the interior design and the bed was so comfortable.

It was really unique. I loved that my husky pup was able to run around without shame. They were super friendly and available to answer questions, offer goods and services, and just being generally helpful and kind. Although, were able to stay one night there this trip, I do intend to plan a longer stay soon. I do recommend you bring a heater, extra flashlights, portable chargers, worm clothes, house slippers and lots of fire wood. They do offer a heater for an extra price, if you don’t have a heater you are able to bring I suggest you def plan on spending that extra 45$ and get one from them. I highly recommend this location to anybody looking to have a fun glamping experience that lets on a large open beautifully creative property. It’s a place where you have enough space where it feels like a private stay but still have that community nicely spaced around you. Have fun!

Nestled in a conveniently accessible location, our girls' glamping experience was nothing short of enchanting. The campsite's setup was impeccable, offering a perfect blend of comfort and bohemian charm. The convenience of the location made our arrival hassle-free, and the well-thought-out camp setup exceeded our expectations. From cozy tents to ambient lighting, every detail was designed for comfort. The hosts' warm welcome made us feel right at home. While the overall experience was exceptional, it's worth noting that the campsite might be a tad challenging for three people. The space felt most ideal for an intimate retreat with just two, allowing for a more spacious and comfortable ambiance. In conclusion, if you're seeking a glamping getaway that combines convenience, a well-designed campsite, and hosts who go the extra mile, this spot is a gem. Ideal for a cozy duo retreat, it offers an unforgettable experience that lingers long after the tents are packed away.

Getting to The Castle House and check-in was easy. There was a slight miscommunication on the price of pets (being quoted a cheaper price but being charged another rate). On the site, we also got a yurt with a bed and a futon for two adult and two kids but there was one cot and a queen size bed. It was a good first time glamping experience. The yurt was hot during the day but nice and cool at night. There are no outlets which I thought would be a great addition since it’s not full on camping. There is one shower with one side open! I did not mind this and we just hung our towel over to kinda close it off. It was jarring for me and my two boys (15 & 8yo) seeing two ladies completely naked making out in the shower & drying off in front of the container home - come to think of it I’m sure my teenager enjoyed it :) the compound was nice but plain. We could hear other guests but everyone was pretty respectfully. We had some ants and spiders in the tent but we didn’t mind it since it was “camping” and not a hotel. I think we expected these things and it didn’t make the experience awful. We would definitely come back in cooler months.

Went to a festival and stayed here. We rented both towers. I don’t know what I enjoyed more! This place is amazing. My friends and I are not campers, this is glamping at its finest! Scott checked us in and attended to all our needs. I decided to sleep on the top deck and he brought up a mattress and sleeping bag. It was so comfortable. The beds, furnishings and cowboy tub was our favorite parts. We watched every sunrise and sunset from the top. Scott brought us warm cookies and almond milk on our first night.I am in the hospitality industry and it takes a lot to wow me, but I was wowed.A++++++I will definitely go back.We rented the towers, used the outdoor showers and executive bathrooms and it was really first class.Rooms: See above- the rooftop deck is great to sleep on!Noteworthy details: Towers beds were very comfortable, linens, blankets and coffee maker all very nice. Scott was a great host. They could use a small mirror in the towers for a gal to check her glamping outfit…

It's an outdoor hotel-stay in Joshua Tree that allows Park visitors to more completely take in the awe of Joshua Tree - of course it's beautiful. What stood out to us was the owner's eagerness to best accommodate our family of three. Due to unforeseen weather, Scott took the initiative to offer us the most comfortable accommodations he could offer us. We knew no better - we'd have been happy with what we had purchased online. He genuinely wishes for us to have the best possible stay his space could provide. At a fraction of it's actual cost, he upgraded our stay and tossed in a couple complimentary treats - not because we asked but because he cared. We were guests in the home of a generous host. Our experience at the Castle House was simply wonderful. Thank you ?
