We come here every year and this store is a god-send. It seems a labor of love that we should appreciate... the owner, Mark, cannot be getting rich. He's friendly and as accomodating as you are! What a treat to slip up to the store and have quality supplies in a pinch... desserts to bring back to the campsite after dinner, Ice, firewood, miscellaneous supplies. We buy what we can there to make sure he does not go away! This store is essential to a successful visit to Agua Caliente and the region.

Went for ice. They had some but it was pretty old and caked up. And it cost double. It was cold on the beer tho.

It's the only choice for miles. The owner is a really nice person. He's helpful and interesting to talk with. The store has the bare necessities, and is fun to browse around. My husband forgot his hat, so he got a nice one for $11. It was well worth it in the desert. We also bought real maple syrup, and some delicious fluffy pancake mix, that we enjoyed our camping trip. Prices were very fair. Nice walk from camp.

Awesome shop with a great owner. Spent some time talking to him for a while. Plenty of delicious snacks and treats for after my bike ride in. Things are obviously marked up a small amount because the owner has to make a very long round trip to keep the store stocked.

*** Owner request at this time, that mask are required to enter the store.*** I've had the opportunity to stop by since I was camping nearby. My 3rd time in the area, I make it a point to stop in just to have the chance to chat with Mark, the owner. Also, to support a local store, I'll grab a few things I could use for camping now or later. The ACS General Store is conveniently located just about a mile away from the campground I was camping at. Each time I've been here the inside was changed just a wee bit. But, you will always find basics for your camping needs or if your just passing through and you need a snack or drink. What you will also find are some gem stones displayed on one side of the store along with some history books. Mark is a kind person and has all kinds of stories to share if you have the time. I also found out only on my 2nd visit here that he is the one that provided the laser show on the mountains sides. When I viewed the laser show on my first the campground I was in awe of the laser show. He does the laser show only when time permits. Hopefully you will have the chance to witness this. Each time I came to visit the store Mark was already in the store so I did not have the chance to ring the large bell at the front. I'm pretty sure if I asked he would have allowed me to try it. Come here and check it out.

Great little shop. Considering I'd rather pay an extra dollar or 2 for things than drive for a hour to Borrego Springs, I'm fine with the prices. Owner is nice. It's closed Tuesday/Wednesday. I've camped at Vallecito, so this is 4 miles down the road.
