We had the most wonderful stay!! The hospitality was truly amazing and the property is gorgeous. It truly felt like we were right at home. Favorites included the beautiful deck (great for stargazing!), the dogs, and the breakfast. COME HUNGRY -- Jim cooks an amazing breakfast and you can expect a few surprise sweet treats to make appearances during your stay. Conveniently located just a few steps off the main drag, it was the perfect home base for the weekend.

My mother and I went there for Labor Day weekend and can't say enough about our experience at this beautiful B&B. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Jim and 2 of their golden retrievers. The 3 of them made us feel right at home from the beginning. We stayed in the summer room which was cute and comfy. Actually all of the rooms are beautifully decorated and inviting. We met Julie and the rest of the gang at breakfast the next morning, and the warm welcome just continued.Breakfast was amazing every single morning. This was no continental breakfast I can assure you. It was hearty, tasty, delicious and soooo filling. The juice was fresh squeezed, pancakes were made from scratch, fruit was local and the company (our hosts and guests) was wonderful. Oh and I almost forgot to mention the daily deserts that are included in this experience. Just plan on leaving a few pounds heavier because they are irresistible. That's all I'm saying ? I HIGHLY recommend Eaglenest Bed and Breakfast for your stay in Julian. You will not be disappointed.I have to add a personal note to this review. Jim and Julie were such incredible people that went far beyond what I could have expected. My 88 year old mom's vertigo acted up and it limited her ability to join us for 2 mornings. Julie brought her favorite tea to the room one morning and Jim was nice enough to bring her breakfast the 2nd morning which mom LOVED! They did not have to do that and I really appreciated it more than I can say. Jim's breakfast gave her energy so mom was able to play tourist again that afternoon! What more could I ask for?!?! I feel so lucky to have met them both.

A bed and breakfast in Julian with parking, a short walk to main Street AND an opportunity to pet adorable golden retrievers?! For a relaxing weekend in Julian these were some things we considered when picking a place. The owners were very nice and when we arrived 2 dogs greeted us! The location has 4 rooms and we stayed in the autumn room which has its own separate entrance and private patio. Besides the dogs you may be greeted by friendly cats. Breakfast in the morning was family style and you can mingle with other groups staying there and hang out with the doggies. Breakfast had a variety of things to eat which varied from homemade pancakes to individual egg dishes. If you have a diet request (someone was gluten free) they will also accommodate for this. Overall had a nice stay and would recommend to anyone spending a few days in this town.

If you want to be loved and not just a place to lay your head look no further. Not only are you greeted by five amazing golden retrievers but these lovely folks bend over backwards to make sure you are as comfortable as possible the entire time all while sincerely caring about you and your stay.

Really nice place. Hosts Julie and Jim, make it a pampered, memorable stay. The dogs, make it feel like a cozy home, and gourmet breakfasts, the home-baked treats: apple crumble, cookies, and many other creature comforts, even the special soaps, make guests feel very special.

Julie and Jim go out of their way to attend to each guest personally. From providing vegetarian options at breakfast to the delicious home baked treats left in the room each evening, to allowing us to come back to the room long after check out to change after our bike ride, they make you feel like family. Oh, and the 5 goldens make the visit complete. We will be back!

The owners Julie and Jim are professionals, they've been doing this a long time and they dedicate themselves to serving their guests. This combination reveals itself in so many large and small details throughout your stay. Their genuine warmth and caring permeate the atmosphere and we left already thinking about our return. The food, the DOGS, the fresh baked treats - generosity abounds.

My boyfriend booked a surprise weekend for my birthday and the Eaglenest BnB was the icing on the cake!!! Julie and Jim were the best hosts! The BnB is so welcoming and relaxing it’s the perfect getaway weekend. Being greeted by their golden retrievers is such a sweet surprise! Speaking of sweet surprises there’s always delicious baked goods left in your room. Breakfast every morning was delicious and Julie and Jim went above a beyond! Thank you so much for the most amazing stay!

Highly recommend this place. Absolutely worth every penny. The owners, Jim and Julie, are amazing. The breakfast is better than anything you could get at a restaurant. The entire place is extremely clean and quaint. We will definitely be going back.

This is our third time staying here. We love it! The Spring Room is nice and roomy, the bed is comfortable, the shower is nicer than ours at home (which is a rarity) and everything is spotless! With all those shedding golden retrievers, you'd think there would be dog hair everywhere, but not at all! Just lots of dog love without licks! They are super affectionate, when you open your room door to go to breakfast, they are waiting to greet you! There's nothing like dog-love! The breakfasts are REALLY tasty, there is plenty of variety, and lots of it. They squeeze the orange juice fresh that morning, and everything is homemade. Yum! There is apple crisp waiting in your room for you to enjoy, as well as brownies or cookies or mini candy bars at the entry. The pantry is stocked with ice-cream, popcorn, movies and games for complimentary guest use. The owners are super, and engaging. They are VERY service oriented! They bend over backwards to make sure you enjoy your stay, including information on things to do, help with reservations at the local restaurants, you name it! They are currently practicing social distancing by serving breakfast at four different places unless you are a group. They are the best! We like to go to Vegas, but they out do even the best hotels there! I have never been in a cleaner place. ?

From the friendly welcome and atmosphere, to the great food, and tiny touches that all add up in a big way, my husband and I had an excellent experience at Eaglenest, and I would highly recommend them to anyone who asks for a great place to get away and relax.
