I had an issue with a package not being delivered, when I called this location the lady I spoke with Isabela Maria allegedly said she was the postmaster and refused to help me was very rude and told me to be quiet and wait for her to finish speaking, that did not end well and she ended the call by hanging up on me. Now I’ve lived in Julian 4 years now, this is such disgusting and disgraceful behavior for a supposed professional adult, of course will be escalating this complaint but thought it would be a good idea for people to be aware of this issue. Not the small town post office of my childhood. I got used to the fact that my packages were often given to someone else or I'd often have to return mail that wasn't mine. I was ok with being required to show my drivers license every time to pick up packages because the staff is constantly changing.
My husband and I have lived in Julian since childhood and have had this box together for over 20 years and it has been my husband's business address since 2004.
Due to fraud, we both had to change our debit cards in the past several months and I forgot to update the autopay on our post office box because it comes up once per year.
During our vacation in June, they gave us a 10 day notice, cancelled our box and had already reassigned it by the time we got back. No personal phone call, no consideration for over 20 years... they simply kicked us out with no recourse.
I am furious and I'm disappointed. I'm going to switch to Santa Ysabel where Sheri and Lisa know who we are and give us the small town service we grew up with.

They lose your package which tracking shows was picked at the front counter so they gave it to someone else. However, when you point that out to Isabel she gets angry at me for their error. Blame shift. Argumentative. Not the 1st time but this time I decided to write a review.

I've only been here once. That was to mail a souvenir to a dear friend. I found the staff to be prompt, courteous, and well-groomed. Plus, I was satisfied with the price that I paid. LGBTQ+ friendly.

This is a fun post office to go to. Good customer service and postal boxes. They sell gift cards and close around 3pm usually. They are across from Library which has public computers and copy machine.

Even though julian California post office is under staff. They are friends outgoing and help is muchas they can. The post master I have seen and she has helped me . Before. It is clean and the make you feel welcome. They help you to Fox any problems you have.Yes I recommend them. We're I live in Julian mail dose not come to the street so have to have a po box. Thank you julian postal staff you are all amazing and wonderful

Great post office and the people that work there are really nice. Since we don't have home mail delivery, we got a po box and have everything sent there - Amazon, Target, etc. and never had a problem.

Please be better. Over the past year I have had over a 100 packages delivered and only 6 have been put out for me to collect on time( definition of on time: within two days of arrival, and yes I actually kept track). Several staff members are rude and not in a hurry to help anyone. When I left town for two weeks to go to my grandpa's funeral the lady told me they would close my box if ever went that long with out getting my mail. Which is ironic cause I think it usually takes that long for them to give me my packages. All I ask is to not to be threatened and be a little friendlier. Takes less time for Amazon to package and deliver my package than it does for this post office to put in my box or give me a package slip.
