Sugarloaf Ridge State Park is a beautiful outdoor area with stunning views and many trails to explore. The drive into the park is scenic, and there are various trails, including some that are steep and exposed to the sun, so visitors should bring plenty of water. The park features a group picnic area with several tables and is a great place to relax. The observatory offers classes and events throughout the year, making it a popular destination for visitors interested in astronomy. The park also has campsites with lots of trees, clean areas, and spacious grounds, along with very clean bathrooms. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable about the campgrounds, trails, and the area's history. However, dogs are not allowed on any trails, and visitors should be aware of poison oak along some paths. Overall, it is a peaceful and scenic place perfect for hiking, relaxing, and enjoying nature.
Awesome hiking! Beautiful views. We also saw a lot of birds. Loved this place. ( hiking is a moderate hike after you go past the waterfall, and a more strenuous hike past the valley view. :-)

Great park to hike around and experience nature. We have seen the salmon run up the river, loveliness of lady bugs, and many mushrooms!
