Beautiful. The surrounding nature is just wonderful. Really peaceful at night, very comfortable beds. The room (1) was newly renovated and really matches the environment.
We ate at the Steakhouse, I had a beautiful Porterhouse that was absolutely delicious ?. The service impeccable and the owner/manager always comes over to make sure you are having a good time.
The drinks were well balanced and crafted just right ?. We had our fill, then went outside to listen to the live band. They were also pretty good. A little limited in their cover songs, but decent.

11301 Kernville Rd Suite C, KernvilleThis was recommended by a friend who camps a lot in Kern. It's a small burger joint in the area. Me and the wife both had the mcnally burger. It was perfectly seasoned. Fries has good portion. Their shakes we added malt in it was so good as well. We were 8 in a group and theres three small tables inside. We all fit. Lol. Outside has great view as well if you want to bask in the sun while eating your burger. I highly recommend!

McNally’s General Store
1941 Kern River Hwy, KernvilleI enjoyed an outstanding steak dinner on our week of camping near the Kern River. It's outside of town, a nice drive north about 15 min from Kernville, the food was great. The service as on point and the portions very good. If you eat in the patio, the views are great in the enclosed patio. The steak was cooked to perfection and was great treat while camping. They also have a mini market, burger stand and motel.

125 Buena Vista Dr, KernvilleFirst time here, boy have we been missing out! We called for same day reservations and got in. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and fresh. The service was just as wonderful, and the view you get with your meal is so beautiful. We can't wait to be back this weekend! There is also a bar inside the restaurant with a nice unique copper countertop. They have an outdoor bar top seating option and we can't wait to try that out during the warmer days. This is more on the pricier side but it's definitely worth the money.
