Showed up here and realized that effective 3 days ago, they now take a break from 1:00-1:45 for lunch. No big deal, but it would be nice if the hours reflected that online. I waited (while my very sick, swollen up child who had been at the ER with me for the 3 previous hours, slept in the car in the snow) until 1:45 when the pharmacy manager Mr. Link opened the window. I asked for my prescription, he said he hadn't received it from the hospital. I called the hospital, and they said they had left a message on his phone (which the pharmacy wasn't answering). I asked Link if he wanted to talk to the hospital on my phone, he said no. I asked if he would call them. He said no. He said they have to call him. I called them back and asked that they call him. Then I stood there for 10 - 15 minutes. I asked Link if he'd received the prescription order, he said he had not because he would not be answering his phone until after 2:00.WTF. How can you say that you need somebody to call you but you refuse to answer your phone? There were no other people at the pharmacy. Just me. When I called the hospital back starting to get exasperated while my child continued to swell up waiting in the car to explain that he wasn't going to answer his phone (they reported they'd been calling repeatedly) he finally said he'd call them. Which he had refused to do before. After talking to them he said he'd get the order in. No idea how this pharmacy is usually, but this manager Link is a terrible employee with zero common sense or empathy and I can't believe he works in the health care field. Yikes.

I don't normally use this pharmacy however nothing else open on a Sunday near Incline Village and I needed antibiotics. Not only did they fill the prescription quickly, they had the most pleasant pharmacist and cashier that I've met lately. Kudo's to that staff for excellent service with a smile on a Sunday!

I needed to get a prescription filled at the pharmacy where service is generally good and the pharmacist was friendly. Todays experience was different, the person helping me, younger Caucasian woman was very rude. Her whole attitude was I was bothering her by asking her to do her job. It was not busy, this person seemed to have a major attitude. Will definitely avoid her whenever possible. I was not asking for anything unusual

I had the worst experience with this pharmacy today. The woman that answered the phone was rude and acted like she was doing me a favor in getting a vacation prescription filled. I called twice and she was annoyed that I called back. She told me she had been in her job for 23 years and knew what she was doing and that I didn't. I then called Village Pharmacy and they helped me in 2 minutes. All I had to do was pick it up. Now, I ask who doesn't know what they are doing in their job?

We have been going to this Safeway for years as it's the closest store to our (former) family cabin. I can't ever recall a visit where I had any interaction with any of the staff. Until our last visit. We went up for a day trip and stopped into Safeway for sandwiches. It takes time to make 4 footlong sandwiches and we weren't the only customers at the sandwich counter. But, the wait was easy with Princess Tony (the sandwich artist) chatting with us while we waited. Tony was easily the highlight of our day. We had lovely conversation with this beautiful human being! and our sandwiches were, of course, excellent.

I'm new to the area picked Safeway pharmacy as my pharmacy. Came down with Covid I had my doctor send the prescription to that pharmacy. The customer service was so poor they weren't even willing to bring the prescription out to my car. Every other pharmacy as well as grocery stores offer these services. Everyone these days seems to be pulling together to help those with Covid except Kings Beach Safeway. I should've known by all the bad reviews that there , customer service is solely lacking. Here in Kings Beach There's a great sense of community and we are looking for businesses that cater the community. If you're looking for great service from your pharmacy look to Rite Aid they not only we're willing to deliver to my car but they offered to deliver to my house. I applaud that kind of customer service. Thank you Kingsbeach Rite Aid.

The lady in the pharmacist area was very rude. I asked her for help and she said “No can’t you see I’m doing something” what kind of costumer service is that? She could’ve said, “yes I’ll be right with you” I did not notice she was doing something! I went on 8/28 I believe she was the only pharmacist there. Everyone else is really polite.

Safeway Kings Beach is close to our home. Long check-out lines aside, I was prompted to write this review because of their lack of seriousness for mask wearing and social distancing. Went in last week and about 50% customers wearing masks. No enforcement. Went to Safeway Truckee and nearly 100% mask wearing. Sent complaint email, form letter response received, however no observable improvement. With two new stores opening this summer in the area, we now have more choices. I recommend Safeway Kings Beach take more serious customer safety (mask enforcement) and customer time (always long check-out lines with or without COVID-19). Sorry to write such a review, but truthful, and during pandemic customer and essential employee safety is paramount.
