“What a gem! My wife and I stayed two nights while exploring the redwoods parks and we were more than pleasantly surprised with the accomodations that Motel Trees offered. The room was spotless, bed super comfortable, and Julie at the front desk was terrific. It's clear that they have remodeled to keep the place modern. And to top it all off the rates were very reasonable. I'd stay here again in the blink of an eye. Highly recommended.”
“We did not stay at the hotel but did eat at the bar and enjoyed the casino. Casino was super nice and cozy, the staff for the restaurant and the casino were really nice and the bathrooms were very nice and clean. Food at the restaurant was about what you would expect for a small town, it was nothing too fancy or terrific but they had lots of options and we were grateful to have a meal since restaurants are sparse through that area.”

“Honestly, I'd probably rate the location 3.5/5 stars, but since it leaned more on the 4 side, I went with 4.
Rooms weren't bad, though the top floor and my room had a really weird smell to it, almost like mildew or mold. Affected my allergies but I tolerated it.
Food options were pretty good and the food itself was excellent. Staff on the food side were attentive and great.
Casino was a nice touch and quite fun.
Plenty of parking and overall a pretty convenient and safe spot. No safety concerns at all.
I did mark off a full star for behavior of one of the attendees the morning we checked out. My friend asked if the gift shop was open as the door was open but sign showed closed. She was rather rude, and complaining about staff in either the restaurant or casino portion. A simple yes or no would have been sufficient. As a Platinum and former Diamond, I'm a bit shocked by the attitude of this individual.
Overall still a good stay and worked well for what we were doing travel wise.”
“The only decent choice of stay is you want to stay close to Redwood NP.
Be aware, this is a very old building without any modern renovation, which means the wall is very thin and the facility is not in its best shape.
However, big con: (1) location is amazing, (2) price is reasonable, (3) staff is very friendly and helpful, and (4) you must take the breakfast there for its fantastic view overlooking the river and reasonable charges (probably the cheapest you can have with proper service).”
