La Canada Pre-School is a wonderful place and a true gem. The staff and teachers are warm, nurturing, friendly, sweet, and very flexible, going above and beyond to support children and families. They are clearly well-trained, full of passion and love for kids, and create a lovely atmosphere where children feel safe, cared for, and happy. The school offers a play-based and nature-based model that is developmentally appropriate, with a balance of free Montessori-style outdoor play and structured activities. The setting features a shaded real sand and dirt field, swings, and a shady tree, which are cherished. Different play and project stations are set up throughout the day, keeping kids the right amount of busy with plenty of time to play and an abundance of arts and crafts. The school groups children of different ages together, encouraging social development and learning through peer interaction. The teacher-to-student ratio is excellent, ensuring individual attention. It is a small, intimate school that forms a true community, with a family-owned and operated style. Parents find it affordable with very flexible schedule offerings. Children are excited to go each day, feel no pressure, and develop a lifelong love for learning, gaining excellent preparation for Kindergarten. Both children and parents love this preschool.
